Well, I guess the main thing about the elimination of three designers down to the three finalists is I found it as confounding as everything else about this show. I don't think I even realized Ronnie was on this show until about three weeks ago, and then he was the guy who only made evening wear, and now apparently he's the frontrunner. Didn't see that coming.
And last night it wasn't completely about selling, it was also about showing range, but selling mattered too maybe. Who the hell knows.
I'm so glad Nikki didn't make it to the finale. She is just so overbearing and incredibly rude to the people who are sewing her designs. For me, all her designs looked the same.
I agree; I found her really irritating. Orly also really bugged for reasons I can't really put my finger on. Perhaps it was the way she over-enunciated everything.
I'm thinking this is Kara's to lose. It's hard to imagine a menswear designer winning, and Ronnie hasn't made much impression on me. I like Kara's stuff. She's the only who stood out for me as making distinctive stuff that I couldn't find anywhere else.
Macy's is having a 1/3rd off sale of Fashion Star merchandise (all except the last couple of items). I guess it isn't selling that well to "the Macy's customer".
Well, to be fair though, a lot of the items sold out. The stuff that's left is mostly ugly, like that hideous dress that Barbara made. I have no idea why they bought that.
