Replay: Catching up as we wait for the next episode

I haven't seen every episode. It looks like there will be a month before the next new episode (there have been I think 16 so far). So I am going back and will try to watch all the episodes from the beginning. I invite the rest who aren't totally up to speed on the show to join me! And if you have seen them all and want to catch a few details you may have missed, this is your thread! Only now we have the perspective of seeing the pilot through to the shooting on the beach and Daniel's arrest.

So here goes....

THE PILOT:

First thing I notice is Jack clearly visible, dragging the body, no blood on his hoodie. Emily is trying to call someone and the phone that rings is inside the suit of the guy Jack was dragging. Charlotte calls out "my brother!" with no mention of anyone else.

I bust into tears when James Tupper tells little Amanda he loves her "infinity times infinity." How pure was that little girls face! But we all know what is to come...

I had forgotten that "Emily" and Ashley were some kind of old friends. Also didn't remember Jack was planning to go to Haiti "next week" from the very beginning. QV looks like she had fresh cosmetic surgery, lip plumpers or something.

I forgot about Lydia. She lost her husband to a younger woman, then cheats with Conrad. And of course she betrayed David Clarke.

I am ashamed to be a man with all the crying happening here. When Jack and Sammy meet "Emily", I am totally convinced those three belong together.

So awesome how "Emily" plays dumb while totally ambushing Lydia.

Doubly awesome as she engineers a chance meeting with Daniel just as he is lamenting there is nothing new in the Hamptons. Triply awesome how QV disposes of Lydia.

Completely forgot Nolan picking her up from juvie when she turned 18, telling her she had 49% of his company, giving her the infinity box, telling her that Dad was dead. Of course I also forgot her poisoning Lydia!

Episode 2: Trust

This one’s all new to me. Today’s evil doer got fired 18 years ago- a valuable clue to the timeline? He was still in good on Amanda’s 9th birthday- so she’s 27? And the dog is definitely 18 at least!

Love seeing the beginning of these relationships- awkward Nolan buying his way into both Jack and Amanda’s lives, QV’s smoldering hatred at every single encounter, poor Daniel being played from the get go. Daniel is really a great guy- too bad he’s collateral damage from the very beginning.

The surprise party was awesome- this is one girl who does not like surprises!

This episode especially there seem to be several moment when she really shows emotion, but a moment later she’s cold as ever.

At the end of the pilot I thought she poisoned Lydia, but now I guess she poisoned Conrad to expose the affair?

So Daniel has one more year of MBA school- usually a three year program. 23,24 years old?

LOVE the final shot of her, alone, with one candle in a cupcake. “Happy Birthday, Amanda”, indeed!
