I'm not familiar with BNTM but she takes lovely pictures. In particular, her portfolio with Q is pretty stunning.

Sophie looks fierce. Perhaps the one person this cycle that looks the most like a working high fashion model (IMO). I'm surprised that Storm would even allow her to participate in this mess overseas.

I guess when professional stigma in only one continent just isn't enough, Tyra can hook a girl up.

She had a nasty personality. Foul even.

I haven't seen BNTM. But it seems the bitch has already been brought-en.

And geez, someone should just start a models4musicians.com dating site already.

Yes, I don't get why she's doing this show either. I'm pretty sure she's walking this Fashion Week. Also, isn't her big claim to fame being a friend of Emma Watson's?

I absolutely love some of those shots of her, but having seen her stuff from BNTM, I'm not too optimistic.

I don't know anything about her personality though, but if she's the bitchy kind of bitchy (as opposed to the insane kind of bitchy we've been getting lately) then it might be fun to have her around.

I haven't seen a single episode of BNTM, but she's my favorite of the Brits based upon her pictures.

@milkyaqua - She is/used to be flatmates with Emma Watson and Emma used her in her campaign for her People Tree collection.

She is kind of bitchy but I must admit I quite liked her on BNTM. I think she just came off as really not thinking about what she was saying and the way it would come across and just talked indiscriminately to the other girls and in confessionals as though she were talking to her best friends. I think she will have realised how she came across and either go with it and be the bitch or tone it down.

Her pictures on BNTM weren't that great, but she consistently won challenges.

While I do like most of her port shots, something was holding me back from being fully enthusiastic. Now I realize why - she looks too much like Cycle 11 Sam, who was meh to me.

Sophie wasn't that bad, really - I found her really entertaining. She was hilariously self-absorbed and over the top, and kind of witty in her way.

I like this girl. While she does have a similar look to Samantha, Sophie actually seems to know what to do with it and not just luck into shots like Sam did. Hopefully, she will actually prove me right (and I haven't seen any of her BNTM stuff) and give us some really good shots. I hope she continues to be a working model.

I always thought that Sam needed to check her thighs in the mirror and looked like a ham but luckily, that doesn't seem to be the case with Sophie. But I do see a little bit of resemblance of C11 Sam in her face though, mainly the eyes and hairstyle.

I get a massive Courtney Yates (from Survivor) vibe, but I'm not sure if it's her look or her personality. Either way, I kind of love it, and I find her pretty entertaining so far.

I can see the Courtney resemblance, although I think Sophie is more attractive. I didn't care for Courtney's personality, though, so I hope the resemblance is skin deep.

She was a bit of a nightmare on BNTM IMO. But she seems to have matured as you would expect anyone to over a period of years.

Yes! Sophie felt vaguely familiar while I was watching the episode and that is totally why. She was my favorite out of the BNTM girls just based off of looks, but if she is half the hilarious bitch Courtney was then she will be an all time favorite.

Tyra will totally ruin her hair I predict. I'm convinced Tyrant wants a US win, so she'll sabotage the Brits with awful 'Ty-Overs'. My guess is that Sophie is given the pink hair.

I can see how it's a far better opportunity for the UK girls, who all seem a bit bigger and a bit older than the US girls. Representation in both New York and LA, plus the Covergirl gig, is a pretty good starting position for these girls, given that they're all the wrong side of 17. I'm guessing the commercial work available in the US is better paid than that in the UK.

Eh, she's with Storm in London (one of the better agencies) and with Q in NY. Heck she even had a showcard with Q this season (she doesn't seem to have booked anything though).

I'm not sure what she hopes to get other than the CG thing and really, when's the last cycle that even seemed to amount to anything?

I'm assuming the reason Storm allowed her to do the show is because work is quietening down, and it could be the same for Q. She doesn't appear to have done anything of note in America up to this point, and if work isn't coming thick and fast on either side of the Atlantic she may as well take the opportunity. If I was offered a job interview where I had a 1 in 12 chance of earning £70,000 I'd take it. I'm not saying any of the Brits will necessarily gain much from doing the show, but at the stage they're at I don't believe anyone's career will suffer.

Covergirl seems to have worked out well for Nicole over the last two and a half years at least, so we know it can happen.

Well, she's getting her fair share of screentime, with the shade of pink in her hair varying quite strongly between confessionals. I suspect she'll be around for a while.

And I'm perfectly fine with that, because she's turning out to be quite awesome.

BNTM isn't any more immune to people playing "characters" for the camera than ANTM is. I always got the sense Sophie was playing a character then, and I still do, except she's moderated it a bit (and gotten reasonably favorable editing too), to skew more towards hilarious and irreverent, vs. "bitch".

You can sense her tongue planted firmly in her cheek whenever they have a talking head where she's supposed to sound vaguely anti-American. Then, later in the same episodes, you can clearly see her clinging to Laura, for example, who she's clearly become out-of-editing-context buddies with.

I watched Catherine's vlog from the most recent episode and she says that Sophie washed all the pink out from her hair (link) by the time that they got to Toronto. Interesting.
