[Christmas Time]

Starts March 14th on Bravo
Everyone's favorite obsessive-compulsive house-flipper is moving in with his clients. Bravo's Interior Therapy with Jeff Lewis follows Jeff Lewis and Jenni Pulos as they move into someone else's home and Jeff does what he does best -- judge their flaws and redesign their space.

He'll observe the homeowners, diagnose their problems, and then take over their house for five days -- with the goal of improving them inside and out. Of course he does this by using a combination of brutal honesty, impeccable design, and a few unique solutions that only Lewis could come up with. His trusted assistant Pulos, and his loyal housekeeper, Zoila Chavez, are along for the ride to make sure he doesn't go too far over the line. This time, Lewis is not just redesigning a space; he's redesigning people's lives

Now Jeff Lewis is a therapist/designer when did he get a dergee in psychology? I can not beleive this but I will watch the first episode.

Jeff Lewis as Life Coach? Oy. Talk about the blind leading the blind. Can't we just have a design show without the psychotherapeutic idiocy? I hope the clients on this thing aren't actually fragile in any way, just normal people willing to put up with the nonsense for the sake of what will likely be damn good design. Relationship advice? not so much.

Excited to see Jeff, but not his designs. So not my style - cold, sterile, all the same. Bad idea, Bravo, we're only in it to see Jeff and Zoila!

I do think Jeff has a knack for looking at old spaces and knowing where to remove walls and reconfigure it to fit modern lifestyles. I think his sterile aesthetic worked for flipping but it was missing the final layer of touches which his ex partner and boyfriend seemed to excel.

I like this show and thinks it's a breath of fresh air compared to Flipping Out. I enjoyed seeing more design work and less of the arguments and staged scenes. Also LOVED that penis-nose whatever Jeff's new boyfriend (can't remember his name) is NOT HERE!!!! Thank goodness for small favors.

I didn't like it. What makes Flipping Out fun is that while Jeff is an ass, we have lovable Jenni and Zoila to balance him out. I can't Felice, spineless husband, and Jeff. I have limited tolerance for the 1% on a good day, but if this show is just rich people bitching about getting free makeovers I'm out.

I thought the epi was formulaic, transparent and annoying.

There are always mistakes and problems on major renovations, so everyone running around as if it were shocking was stupid. I was tired of Jeff's tantrums a long time ago.

The homeowners yapping about the alarm going off was embarrassingly rehearsed and scripted and badly "acted." At one point the wife's eyes kept cutting to the camera. They sounded like bad line readings from a low-rent porno. "Honey! The alarm's never done that before!"

I'd prefer less forced drama and more straight-forward design and renovation. But I guess we're supposed to understand that the homeowners don't get along or have issues and Jeff and Company somehow solve their personal problems in the course of doing the renovation. Or something.

Did we get to see the kids rooms and I missed it? I kept wondering about them, since Jeff took the boy's room for the parents and I think one of the girl's room became the father's closet. (Not sure where the wife's closet came from).

After watching this, and then the new NY real estate show, I'm really, really tired of rooms with white, beige, taupe, black and maybe a flash of yellow or red. Can't believe that's still considered "fresh".

Looking forward to Jenny and Zoila talking about this show (and, of course, Jeff) on WWHL.

I think one of the girl's room became the father's closet. (Not sure where the wife's closet came from).

I think the husband's closet was one that was already there, and the smallest bedroom was used to become the wife's closet. The girls were then put into the same bedroom, which wasn't that big of a room. The boy got the room that had been used as the master. I have no problem with kid's sharing rooms if space or money is tight, but I'd be damned if I'd take over a bedroom from a child just so I didn't have to weed out some clothes, and deprive my purses of their own backlit, glassfront shelves!! The kids clearly didn't count in that sterile mess of a house -- the couches in the "family room" were white! No wonder the kids were thrilled with paint wars, it was the first time they got to be kids and get something dirty!

I need a re-watch to see if I can figure out if this was the plan. I remember the boy saying he would now have to share a bathroom with the girls who would be waking him up all night with their flushing. I sort of assumed that an addition or something would be happening after the show to make another bedroom for the kids, those two girls can't possibly share a room for very long. ITA that that mother was just a hot mess. If only she'd been acting for the cameras, instead it was her actual personality! It felt like the husband chose her because she would add some tall genes to the offspring, but man, that house was only for the mother--no one else. I can just imagine her laying tacks in the bed after the husband tries to use the bedroom TV, but at least he got a bed where he can touch the floor...

The crazy, rushed aspect seems better than Jeff; one thing I always liked about Flipping Out was that projects took a long time. The part that compensates for me is that he appears to be living in their home for the week, which is pretty much comedic gold, or could be. I can't believe he chose hand-cut marble tiles for the shower design for that amount of time, but it certainly was an impressive piece of work.

Per WWHL, I seriously hope he's peeing in a lot of shampoo bottles of bitchy/angry clients!!

And if your husband hasn't been able to touch the floor while sitting at the dining room table, in the living room, or from his bed, the wife may be the problem.

Let's hope that if the smoke alarm ever goes off for a reason, she chooses to carry a family member out and not something from the closet(s).

So agree. I felt like the REAL Jeff, the neurotic, anal, such a dick-yet-I-love-him Jeff was just missing. He seemed like he wasn't even that interested in what he was doing, and what I've loved about Jeff is his passion for his projects. Seemed like it wasn't our Jeff.

A sadly obvious, disappointing bore. We don't need another formulaic OMG no time NO TIME!! makeover show, replete with furiously thespianing love-to-hate-'em homeowners. And then the makeover is completely blah! Huh? I adore Jeff and wanted to like this, but no. Maybe it looked good on paper, but it fizzles in the execution.

Meh. Game-show style rushed deadline decorating shows are why I don't watch HGTV anymore. I can't stand the visual i get of the slap dash hack job that is the inevitable result of doing a big reno in an impossible time frame. It just gives me a headache. Nothing about it adds suspense to me, just irritation. I like to see the process unfold. I don't need a reveal every week. I do like Jeff's work but this is too contrived. I watched Flipping Out strictly for the design. I could care less about the manufactured drama.

The wife in this episode completely castrated her husband, who seems like a decent man. She better tone down the shrill, or she'll one day find herself in the first wives club.

I really don't care that Gage isn't in this, but does anybody know if they're still together?

I wish they'd show in a better way the space redesign. This is what Jeff does best and I'd like more detail on that.

ETA: So was the therapy part a lower bed, movable TV and closet space for the husband? Other than that I don't get the Therapy part of the title. Cute and seemingly nice kids tho considering having a shrew for a mom.

That? Was horrible (and apparently Jeff's idea). Of course, I'm surprised any of them had a room, since the husband couldn't get chairs or bed that would de-emphasize his height problems--or bring his clothes upstairs (!). What a selfish, selfish woman.

re: show. I don't think it's a very good showcase for Jeff's business. 3 leaks? (big leaks, imo). Not measuring the "custom" headboard so that you could bring it upstairs without (at the last minute) gouging out the wall? Blowing through $12,000 of the customer's perfume so you can have fun harrassing your assistant?

So unprofessional--and seemingly incompetent and disrespectful, too. He's not that charming, actually seems like quite an ass. Oh, and peeing in a customer's shampoo bottle (WWHL)? Seriously, why would anyone hire this guy?

I didn't understand how they patched that hallway (wood, plaster, paint) before the couple came back. (I would be sooooo unhappy to have had that done to my hallway--and without my knowledge--because they mis-measured the headboard). I don't think this couple (with their "wimp/bitch" edit) will enjoy this ep.
