Whoa. I am in shock.

Rami is not my favorite but I had him pegged for top three.

Rami is lovely, and that was a true-to-form classy exit, but damn his color choices have always been so terrible.

Hated all of Austin's (high waisted and pleated? yeah, models can wear those - that's it) I was surprised he wasn't cut.

Didn't think Michael's and Jerrel's looked that much alike. Certainly not a "doppleganger".

Really? Really? Kenley designs for a kindergartner and Austin designs for my grandmother, and they eliminate Rami? I'm disgusted.

I thought the bottom 4 should have been the top 4. On whet planet is Kenley's polka-dotted monster in the top 2 and Rami goes home. Absurd! I am so done with all stars. These judges are terrible.

What just happened? I disagreed with all the winners, how could Kara's blah outfit win anything? Why is she still here? And they cut Rami? Rami who has been in almost every top three since the season started? I do not understand this show. And they were so mean to Mondo as well, I know it's a competition but he was clearly already upset and they kind of just kept hammering away at him.

Rami's green top was awful.

The Michael/Jerell drama was completely boring.

Mila and Kara get no respect.

Kenley keeps making the same Peter-Pan, nursery-in-1954 collar.

Stupid Isaac Mizrahi. He disliked Rami right from the beginning, so I knew as soon as Rami was in the bottom he was going. It's a fucking crime that he left before Jerrell.

Speaking of which, Jerrell and that giant smug chip he's carrying around on his shoulder sure do suck. He's an ass and can't leave soon enough for me.

That green top Rami made was horrible on the model. She looked *really* lopsided.

I loved Mondo's, I was surprised he was in the bottom.

I thought Michael's was much better than Jerrel's, and I also didn't think they looked like carbon copies. They were both long coats and that's about it.

This has to have been the most schizophrenic judging I ever recall seeing on this show.

I'm kind of stunned. 4 of the top competitors (in terms of past rounds) in the bottom. Rami out. (I liked him better this year than his season. Alas.)

But, really, I can't recall ever hearing a judges' discussion of the alleged "top" looks include such non-stop criticism ("nothing original," etc.). Nor can I recall a circumstance where the almost-eliminated left standing is the one who had the "best" piece in the show. What?

(Also: Cynthia Rowley loves the adult romper look? Really?)

And I agree that Michael's coat wasn't much like the other coat, as far as I could see. Yeah, they were both coats (winter, duh), with similar colors/materials. That's about it.

This was a horrible episode- I didn't like a single thing on that runway.

What I can't believe is that they SPECIFICALLY SAID that Michael wasn't "so good at the design," but yet kept him. I'm sorry, I thought this was a show about DESIGN!

Ridiculous.

I'm sorry to see Rami go, but his blouse was one of the ugliest things I've ever seen on this show. I think Jerrell should have gone last week, but I think his look was one of the better ones tonight. Michael clearly took his inspiration from Jerrell's jacket. He acted like he'd been caught cheating on a test and was trying to talk his way out of it.

I can't believe that horrid cape won out over that beautiful jacket! I didn't even mind the colors and they aren't that off from the look of the summer retail fashion colors. But what do I know? I was of the opposite opinion of just about everything tonight, from the god awful light blue polka dot to liking Micheal's look better than Jerells' (although I did like both). Austin should have gone home just for making such a boring outfit. Good bye, Rami - really going to miss you!

NOOOOOOOO, not my Rami! I was sure Austin was done for (though i loved his outfit--the vintage-y, girly-girl print really charmed me)which would have been bad enough, but losing Rami is much worse. I had begun to think he would win it all.

I couldn't really argue with the decision, sadly. The jacket ws nice but a little overworked, and that top was ghastly. There wasn't anything good about it. Still, the parameters of the challenge kind of screwed the designers, in a way--I don't think the judges really preferred Kara's outfit to Rami's, for instance, but since Kara's out scored Austin's, she was safe and Rami is out. Conversely, both Jerrell and Michael made strong outfits, and the judges liked both, yet Michael wound up on the bottom.

Sigh. At least Mondo is safe. I loved his shorts, and I disliked Kenley's romper--mainly because I just hate rompers, but also because it looked like it didn't fit well. Didn't like Mila's at all, but it was at least better than most of what she's done this season. And, unfortunately, better than Rami's. Sigh.

ETA: I don't understand why shows keep having Cynthia Rowley as a guest judge. She's mediocre in every way and never has anything interesting to say. I loved Georgina following Cynthia's criticism of Mondo by talking about it being a very good look. She practically rolled her eyes and said "Whatever, Cynthia."

I'm with Blugirl. Why is Kara is still there? Her designs suck. Never been a fan of Rami or his color choices, but he didn't deserve to go. This was a really lopsided challenge, set up to eliminate (possibly) some one who didn't deserve to go. I loved Jerrell's look. Austin's look was lame. He should have gone, given the choices. I cannot believe Kara is still there. And that they liked Kenley's look was completely shocking. But it would make a great summer romper for a 2-3 year old.

Kenley's looked like everything else she makes. So predictable and boring.

Bummed that my eye candy is gone. Kara-ugh awful designer. Austin's was bad but so was hers.

Jerrell has no cause to be smug-hes lucky he is there given most of the crap he's put down the runway.

Maybe it's because I have a bladder the size of a lima bean, but anything as impractical as a romper or jumpsuit will always get a big thumbs-down from me. I have no desire to undress just to go to the bathroom.

I liked Kenley trying to cheer Mondo up by reminding him "the judges don't want to have lunch with Austin's girl!" I guess it could be seen as a dig to Austin, but I thought she had good intentions and it was funny!

I clearly missed how Jerrell and Michael's outfits were practically identical and why it had any kind of drama.

What are the chances that two people would independently choose to do a coat/jacket for a winter challenge? What a unique idea - I can't believe that would ever happen.

Also did I miss the part where after Michael "stole" the idea from Jerrell he ran back out to Mood to purchase fabric to be used for the coat, because if he had no idea of making a coat until he saw Jerrell's he wouldn't have purchased fabric suitable for a coat at Mood the first time.

And in the end after all the drama I didn't think the two items looked anything similar other than in color. It's like saying Rami stole the idea for making pants for fall from Mila (or vice versa).

Ohhhhh Rami - What was with that top? Those jagged, crooked lines of coarse stiching. Mismatched boobs. That hideous green. It looked like Mrs. Frankenstein's chest! I don't know of any woman who would want a top that adds an abundance of wrinkles to her neck. Looks like a she skinned a Shar Pei and wrapped the pelt around her neck.

Correct choice, judges.

Those coats were really not all that similar. As the guest judge said, Michael's was older (more wealthy ice queen) while Jerrell's was his usual boho, hippy schtick (which for once looked great). Jerrell was basically trying to lay claim on the idea of making a coat, when HELLO, they both had winter.

I have no idea what Austin was thinking, that outfit could have gone straight on Blanche for bingo night. Mondo's patterns and proportions totally missed the mark this week, he got too wrapped up in the idea that he was making something for his mother's birthday and forgot to edit.

Rami and that green monstrosity...hurgggh. Funny that the shade he picked was the exact one Joanna was wearing though.

Make the legs four inches longer and change the color to kelly green, and Kenley would have made my gym uniform from the NYC public schools in the 1970s. One of the ugliest garments ever made. Who on earth would want to wear that thing?
OTOH, I'd wear Mondo's outfit and I thought the whole thing was adorable.

I'd hate to think all of Jerrell's pissing and moaning actually influenced the judging, because I didn't see "doppelganger" in Michael's outfit at all. And, of the two outfits, I thought Michael's fit better, was better made and yes, was better designed.

Based on this outfit alone, I thought Austin ought to go and my first reaction on seeing him working on the pants was "Isaac is going to HATE those." Why? Because Isaac has been designing for the mass market and has a sense of what is closest to universally flattering or unflattering. And those pants were universally unflattering. So why is Isaac sighing about those pants being one of the best things he's seen? I am getting so confused!!

I agreed with all of the crits aimed at the bunched up neckline and ill-fitting blouse on Rami's outfit, but that jacket was sharp.

These head-to-head competitions are always frustrating to me, because you can bet someone who actually doesn't deserve to be on the bottom, except for the artificial nature the challenge, is going to be there, while someone whose work is far less worthy gets a pass to the next round. [I'm looking at you Kara.]

I agreed with the judges on only one - Mila over Rami. The green shirt was very ugly. The stitching on it reminded me of the commercials for a 600-lb woman and there's a shot showing all this huge stitching in her skin (which is really gross and I can't watch that commercial). The jacket was really pretty. I really like Rami so I wish he hadn't been eliminated but I think his outfit was the worst of the 4 on the bottom. Kara's was quite boring. Austin's looked like a New England Wasp-y caricature, Miss Connecticut in the big house in the country while daddy takes the train in every day to the stock exchange.

I didn't think Michael's and Jerell's were that similar. The look for each was different. The color was similar but the pattern of the fabric was different. It was the best thing Jerell's made but the buttons were wonky. Michael's was sophisticated and streamlined. I liked Mondo's better than Kenley's. I don't see what was so great about a faded polka dot romper. Jerell was such a snot making these accusations just because Michael is making a coat for a WINTER challenge. Michael probably felt like he was back in season 8.

But what was with Mondo's tantrum about being on the bottom? So he made the outfit for his mom's birthday. Nice, but the judges don't care. And his mom wouldn't care if he was on the top or bottom; the gesture would be the important thing to her. ("The polka dots are for my mommy!") I think he is not well. I know he has HIV but he seems downhill from his season.

I thought the little glimpses of Kenley and Mondo's friendship in this episode was cute. I'd have loved to see more of that than the stupid Michael stole my coat drama. I loved Michael's coat, Jerell's not so much. I agree with that critique about the huge buttons. Can't stand things like that. Add my voice to those who think that the two outfits had nothing in common other than the fact that it was a coat in winter colors.

I sat through the judging tonight with my jaw on the floor. I disagreed with all their top/bottom picks other than the Fall look. As much as Mila might annoy the mess out of me, I really liked her look tonight. I'm shocked that they ripped Mondo's look to shreds and looked at it while shaking their heads all "oh dear oh dear." I loved it. I thought it was super cute and that it would easily have Kenley's jumper beat. In fact, I thought Kenley's outfit might be bad enough to get her sent home. I must be super clueless.

Was it just me, or did the judges spend more time choosing their top look by criticizing the outfits than praising them? Kara's look was boring and ordinary. There were issues with Mila's pants. Jerell's buttons were too big. If you hated the outfits that much, why did you put them in the top?

Ugh, frustration.

Oh no! Not Rami! Don't get me wrong. I thought his outfit was fug (very Spiegel's catalog circa 1989) but just about every other outfit on the runway looked like ass. How did Kara and Kenley outlast Rami? I would have included Jerrell in that group but I liked his coat.

That cheap looking cape that Mila made was in no way better than Rami's jacket. Why didn't she have to reveal the top underneath it? I'm sure it was just as ugly as Rami's green top.

I was sure that Mondo would beat Kenley's same-romper-with-a-peter-pan-collar, especially because sewing 101 tells you to make sure your patterns line up at the seams.

I don't have the words to describe the horrendousness of Austin's pleated high-waisted high waters.

Kara's outfit was so boring, and she didn't even try to accessorize.

It looks like whatever Isaac says goes, because Georgina did not want to eliminate Rami. Neither did I!

I really think they only kept Austin because he is the "starriest" of the "all-stars." I knew it was a loser when I saw the sweater and wished I'd had it to wear back in the late 80s when I was in my preppy phase. It was confirmed when Austin himself said that he'd designed something that could be sold at Neiman Marcus. That said, at least it was more thought out and better sewn than Kara's outfit.

When is someone going to call Kenley down for designing the same outfit week after week?

And while Mondo has never been Mr. Happy, I agree that he's seemed more depressed this season. Maybe he's been told so many times that he was robbed during his season that he thought he'd just walk in and have win after win? I do like the fact that he and Michael are so friendly now given the way they started out back in season 8.

My favorite part of the episode had to be in the room with the food.

Mondo: This reminds me of dinner with my family.
Michael: What, spaghetti?
Mondo: No
Jerrell: Awkward?
Mondo: Yes.

So awesome.

I clearly missed how Jerrell and Michael's outfits were practically identical and why it had any kind of drama.

What are the chances that two people would independently choose to do a coat/jacket for a winter challenge? What a unique idea - I can't believe that would ever happen.

Well, there was this shot at Mood when Jerrell was picking the fabric and Michael was sort of standing there watching. Of course he might have just been waiting for the assistant to help him, but they made it look a bit shady. I will say that when Michael started it did look a lot more like Jerrell's than when he finished it, so I can kind of understand why Jerrell was a bit pissed. Besides, Michael had his own drama with April regarding similar materials/fabrics, so I imagine people get kind of touchy about this stuff.

That being said, I totally agree that the amount of drama was ridiculous especially since they didn't look at all the same in the end. I was mostly annoyed that Jerrell was such a pissy bitch about it. Designers have had these issues before and I can't recall anyone throwing so much shade on the runway as he did tonight.

I don't understand why shows keep having Cynthia Rowley as a guest judge. She's mediocre in every way and never has anything interesting to say. I loved Georgina following Cynthia's criticism of Mondo by talking about it being a very good look. She practically rolled her eyes and said "Whatever, Cynthia."

Cynthia Rowley is a total dick. They hockey guy from last week was a better judge.

Am I remembering incorrectly or did they call Mondo's look very "junior"? Kenley's model was in an effing romper for crying out loud.

When the season started, I was meh about Angela Lindvall. I didn't like her particularly, but I didn't dislike her either. Just didn't care. Now that we are a few weeks in, she is really starting to bug me. Her way of speaking is so affected. Her body language is even worse. She does that thing when she is being coy where she drops her chin and tilts her head while looking up to the ceiling. I hate when women act like little girls. Angela, you are a grown woman. Own it.

Austin's pants were about the ugliest, least fashion-forward thing I have seen on this show. High-waisted, abdominally pleated, short-legged slacks. Coupled with a girly-girl flowered twin-set? Who. Would. Wear? It's Mom jeans gone fancy. At least Rami's would be generally flattering, even if the color choice was off and it was overly fussy at the neck line.

I guess they see Austin as the bigger star than Rami.
