There’s a thread on a particular website where basically they say if we reveal that Emily’s [Emily VanCamp] father is not dead we have ruined the show and that was an option for me. At this point, I’m no longer considering that option. So, I try not to let what fans want decide what the show is going to be. But, I also want to respect what people are responding too. It’s complicated.
Did we help kill David Clark? Ow, Emanda is going to come after us?!
I feel badly, I was on the fence leaning against David being alive, just from the implausibility of both Nolan not bothering to claim the body and Emanda not bothering to ensure that his remains were handled appropriately. Watching QV succumb to a stroke at seeing a very alive David Clark would have been remarkable. It would have been very Count of Monte Cristo.

Anyway, I generally don't like it when fans influence storytelling too much. I can understand it with, say, relationships - nothing is worse than the majority hating your main couple - or unimportant characters (Declan) - but storylines?

”• VILLAINS RETURN: Tyler (Ashton Holmes) and Amanda (Margarita Levieva), gone for good? Think again. They’ll both return and “decide to start f—ing with Emily, and they’ve got new, different agendas,” reveals Revenge creator Mike Kelley. “Emily’s got a number of enemies at this point with bones to pick.”
• THE ENGAGEMENT PARTY: The glimpse of Revenge‘s biggest blowout we got in the series’ September premiere was just that: a taste. Expect that night to play out in full on the Feb. 15 episode, which — considering the dead body on the beach outside Grayson Manor — is fittingly titled “Chaos.” Someone will be arrested for the murder, and someone will be dead. Plus, Kelly promises one bombshell in the great reveal that no one could anticipate. “I don’t think anyone will have guessed it,” he says, “but we’ll see.”
• ONE STEAMY LOVE TRIANGLE: Expect increased tension between Daniel, Emily, and Jack (Nick Wechsler) as Revenge continues its journey. “Everything that happens on the beach that night will forever alter the course of Emily’s romantic ties to both Jack and Daniel,” Kelley says cryptically. Adds Wechsler: “Jack is starting to want to fight for Emily himself.

Just in time for Valentine's Day. Squee!
My friend and I were texting last night when I told her that EVC and Josh Bowman were dating. She Googled them, and it turns out Josh Bowman has dated Amy Winehouse and Miley Cyrus in the past. Um, okay...

I don't know whether I should be scared or impressed at the power of teh interwebz over the showrunners. On the other hand, maybe we can harness the power of TWoP to get some David/Nolan backstory.Did we help kill David Clark?

As ABC's Revenge nears the February reveal of what exactly happened on the beach during Emily and Daniel's engagement party, more legal types will be drawn into the drama.
Former child actress Veronica Cartwright, who hasn't stopped working since being terrorized in Alfred Hitchcock's 1963 classic The Birds, will be playing a judge beginning in late February.
Cartwright joins Courtney B. Vance, who recently joined the series as defense attorney Benjamin Brooks. And Victoria's new love interest, to be played by Rome stud James Purefoy beginning in March, now has a name: Dominic.

During February Sweeps the ratings are used to determine the value of advertising on a show. So, networks save the "best" episodes for Sweeps. If you watch two shows that are on at the same time, on the same day, and they are both airing landmark episodes, you will make a choice to watch one live and DVR/record the other. This proves to the advertisers which shows people are more likely to watch live. So, they pay more for advertising on those shows. The more money a show makes, the more likely it is to stay on the air.
Since the creators of Revenge had a plan to reveal the events of the engagement party mid-season, and all the fans are going crazy with speculation, they are saving that episode for Sweeps. It was supposed to be number 13, and it's now number 15, so, they seem to have added a couple of episodes just to tide us over until Sweeps.

I've watched it twice and I'd say- no, we most definitely did not. Don't know if the writer of the spoiler was told this by the writers of the show or if they just assumed as much. But they sure did not show anyone specifically on any of the shots fired.I read my TV Guide, which had spoilers from the Feb. 15 episode, and it said viewers learned who died and that Daniel fired the first shot but not the other two. Um - did we see that?
