Sweet Home Alabama

Landon - anyone think Paige gave him the next date so that she'll have a reason to boot him out? That's my hope, anyway.
I still love Bubba and if Paige doesn't choose him, I certainly hope y'all are right and he gets to be the next bachelor.

I am sure Little Shawn is not the winner. Any of the other 3 could be the one. Bubba would be the perfect next Bachelor. And I think Paige really likes him. But I don't think she is in love with him. He makes her feel special and it is more like she is thinking this is who I should love and pick. But I think she is feeling more chemistry with the other 2. She has an attraction to Jeremiah. But I think she is doubtful about him now and needs to be reassured by him. She stated this week that she just loves kissing City Shaun. She seems to be in lust with him and the old opposites attract is at work with them.
She is sending 2 of the 4 home next week. I am pretty sure Little Shawn will be sent home. And I think Bubba will be in the final 2. The big choice for her will be does she keep City Shaun or Jeremiah till the end. She lets her girlfriends meet the guys next week and help her judge the guys. That is always interesting. She will listen to their opinions.

I didn't see as much chemistry between Bubba and Paige on this date as I saw on their last date. He's almost too fantastic and perfect. That can scare a girl off too...no one wants to feel like they'll always be the imperfect one in a relationship. I think Paige is head over heels for Jeremiah and no one else is really in the picture anymore. She's just waiting for the littlest sign from him that he's into her as well. I hope he finds a way to open up next week...it's torturous to watch her wait while he hems and haws about the "right time".
I'd love to see the final 2 be Jeremiah and City Shaun but I don't think Paige has the guts to send Bubba home next week. So I think it'll be the Shauns going home.

The edit he has received from the producers has been very much in his favor ... nothing bad about him. I still hope she picks Jeremiah, I don't know why I want him and Paige to be the ones to end up together thought. If he is "the one", I am confused why he didn't get a very good edit on the show. When they went on the group date, I did notice that Jeremiah was doing a lot of the talking to Paige and I was encouraged by that and hope Paige was too. I'd be fine with either him or Bubba being the final one. Clue or not ... one the Sweet Home Alabama facebook page ... Paige said her favorite scripture is in Jeremiah 29:11. Also, the one she chose is religious, to the point that she said they had both been praying that God would lead them to their one true love. I think Bubba, Country Shawn and Jeremiah are all religious, but I am not sure about city Shawn. I know he circles up for the group prayers, but other than that, I don't know.

Maybe we can have Bubba for next season? That would make me happy.

I have no idea who will go next week but with two guys going it will be interesting. I hope Jeremiah can find the courage and gets to stay for the final 2.

Paige memorizes her good bye speeches. Landon wouldn't leave and kept interrupting her so she would repeat what she just said so she could get the next part out- it was so funny! She told him she didnt like him "like a wife should like a husband"? I was waiting for something better after the you are the greatest guy ever BUT..then the fathead would not leave. It was one of greatest smackdowns in TV history. This guy was such a douche- great seeing him get what he deserves.
This show is more about the bromances going on. I think Country Shaun is more in love with his buddies. He doesnt want to go home from Summer Camp. They are adorable how much they love each other. I love that City Shaun loves Cowboy Shaun. It's so cute these bromances! Im totally enjoying that part of it.
I would pick city shawn or Bubba- Bubba is really masculine but I agree with whoever said here that his life would bore Paige to tears. She wants to be famous and in the limelight. I don't see her staying on a ranch birthing babies.

I really love the dynamics between the Final Four. They really are four decent men. Landon truly didn't fit in and his insecurities and jealousy were painful to watch. Obviously, no one wants to watch someone they're interested in going on dates with someone else, but the rest of the men are able to be supportive and somewhat calm about it. Landon was obsessive and creepy.

I noticed this, too, and thought that doofus is proposing to someone he's never made out with (that we saw anyway), how clueless is he? Apparently, the most clueless.
Landon and Paige never made out - she hugged him. She was never attracted to him- he is such a fathead.
Agreed, but with Landon, I think the last word she ever needed to say in her goodbye speech was 'love' and she used it about a hundred times, telling him what all she 'loved' about him. He's the bunny-boiler type to me. I can easily see him twist that around and use it to fantasize and hang on to.
Paige memorizes her good bye speeches.
Paige's incessant giggling is getting annoying and coming off fake to me. I don't think she's got 'that connection' with any of the guys, but will date the chosen one a few months, then move on to a new guy.

I think both the Shawn's are cute and funny. I loved when they were discussing Landon; Bubba and Country Shawn were roping the bale of hay and City Shawn was sitting in the tree! Wtf! It would be hard to get rid of both of them, simply because they have a sense of humor. But either of them don't seem that into Paige and aren't really marriage material IMO.
I guess Jeremiah had what it takes to win Paige's heart because she seems completely in love with him at this point. Maybe the fact that he kind of played hard to get and a little mysterious made her want him more or something. The fact that he needed to be reminded to take a shower and put on deodorant for a date turned me off him. But he does seem really sweet and a good person.
No offense to the fire dept but Landon's date idea was really dumb and it was painful to watch him try put all that equipment on her. That date was all about HIM and soliciting compliments. Ugh. He was so insecure and arrogant at the same time. Thank goodness he's gone. His muscles were really unattractive IMO.
I love the bromances, too! It was hilarious that country Shawn and Jeremiah were wearing "Faith Cattle Co" hats, obviously given to them by Bubba! They may have been wearing them the whole time but I just only noticed in this ep. That's always why I watch the bachelorette too, to see the guys' interactions. It's so funny to me.

Little Shaun made me tear up! I would love to find someone for him. And City Shaun was hilarious at the bar, meeting and talking to all the locals. He will not have any trouble finding someone!

That being said, I don't think Jeremiah is ready.
I was sorry to see Shawn and Shaun go home. They were a lot of fun.

Knew the Shaun's were outta there but I like 'em both.
So who wins....Jeremiah or Bubba?

Paige seems to have a very real connection to Jeremiah. But I was surprised, when asked by her friends what she liked about him, the first thing she told them was that he lived closest to her. Really? That was the most significant thing she could come up with? Geography? That left me feeling confused about her feelings. But maybe she was feeling confused because - at that point - he hadn't spoken up yet and her friends had just finished letting her know they didn't think he was right for her.

I also liked that Paige and Jeremiah are starting off slow, not right off of a reality show into an engagement. That's something that always rang a little false to me with the Batchelor. Its just too quick and in too much of a fakey situation. You need to take the time to really get to know someone before you go for marriage. In any case, I don't really see it lasting for very long. I dated a guy once that had issues with saying what he felt and going after what he wanted. It gets REALLY frustrating when only one person in a relationship is doing all the calling, planning, emoting, etc. (my most hated thing ever now is the phrase "whatever you want to do" I mean, have an opinion, damn it!). Sorry - one of my buttons. ha.

NickyPick - The show would be crazy not to have Bubba as the next man to do the picking. He already has a huge following and a lot of women in love with him.
Boy, the comments on the Sweet Home Alabama facebook page are very brutal and sad, very hateful toward Jeremiah and Paige. I really feel for them, having to start off their public dating knowing 99% of those who watched the show do not like Jeremiah and wanted her to pick Bubba ... the "perfect" man. But what is a woman to do when she doesn't feel any emotion toward that perfect man. I honestly never saw any attraction between Bubba and Paige ... just a longing for someone to love ... that is what I saw.
Not to say the road with Jeremiah will be easy. But even long lasting relationships can have bumps. I think Jeremiah is a man who is very loyal and true, and I think he will love Paige with all he has. In watching his interaction with Paige and also with his mom and sister, I like the way he hugs ... he wraps everyone up into him ... touching their hair and pulling them close. I think that is a sign that he is very loving and open. He has a big family and has a lot of nieces and nephews that he adores etc. He seems very family oriented by looking at his facebook page. I hope that Paige is his one true love and he can give her all the things that she needs to feel loved and cherished. I don't know why he can't, especially once the cameras are turned off. And I really didn't see that he couldn't open up and share his feelings ... I thought he shared his feelings very openly and honestly. No, he didn't want to say "I love you", because she was still seeing another man and he wanted those words to really mean something. I kind of honor that. But once he said the words to her, he seems so relieved that he did. And once he knew that Paige picked him and it really was him that she loved, he had no problem telling her that he loved her and how he felt.
I feel bad for them that so many who watched the show are against them. I don't think that will make their transition any easier.
I also feel that someone told Bubba that she picked Jeremiah and let him be the one in control of the ending. Because even that was so "perfect". He was very smart to ask to look into her eyes before anything else was said because he is right, the eyes don't lie. I doubt Paige could even look him straight in the eye knowing that she didn't pick him. I sure hope Bubba finds someone to love and someone who will love him for all the right reasons.
Southern Nights looks tacky. I won't be watching. I was surprised to see Devin on there. I didn't know she and Adam (?) had broken up. Someone also said that Tribble and the girl he picked has broken up already. I had no idea.

I would LOVE to see NY Shaun as the next Batchelor. A city guy is a better match for that show and he seems miles more of a substantial man than the guys they've been picking. His commentary always cracked me up.
My other favorite thing about this show was the bonding of the guys. It looked like some real friendships were being formed and if so, they were the real winners.

And no disrespect to Bubba, but I do have to respect a man like Jeremiah who isn't totally comfortable rushing into things in an artificial atmosphere like a reality show. Or one who wants to save "the good stuff" for a more private setting. Landon was ridiculed by pretty much everyone for proposing on their second date, but Bubba was ready to do so after Date 3? Why was that so very different? Jeremiah didn't want to be rushed in an environment designed to bring out people's inherently competitive nature. Good for him for being true to himself while, within that, trying desperately to let Paige know that he really did care about her - letters in her boots, indeed! That smile on his face when she chose him? Yeah, he's a man in love. (And I say this as a woman who thinks all "reality" shows are anything but!)

By looking around Jeremiah's and Paige's facebook pages, it doesn't appear that he has any problem sharing his feelings and emotions to Paige now. Paige said in that letter that Jeremiah had worked behind the scenes on some reality show so he was very wary of saying things on SHA for the sake of the show. He wanted it all to be real and wanted Paige to know his feelings were real.
I also listened to a couple of his songs (there was a link on his facebook page for some previews) and wow, he is really good. Wonder why the show didn't showcase that? I think I might even download his album.

I'm not sure why they didn't feature his music - except for those brief seconds when Paige's friends took the guys out. I wish they had shown him playing more because he is really good and they certainly did feature the other men who perform. It was curious - as if they were going out of their way to minimize any possible positive Jeremiah aspects. I wonder if it was to keep us wondering about who she would pick? Or if it was all to prop Bubba? It's just weird...

I think TPTB didn't showcase any of Jeremiah's music because it would have been so obvious that Paige was going to pick him. She said she likes country and city. Well, thats Jeremiah. Half a year on a farm and half a year in CA with his music.

According to Facebook, it looks like Jeremiah and Paige are still going strong which is encouraging, especially after the first two couples fizzled out so quickly.
