"Cult Like" - At the immunity challenge, one tribemate makes a big gesture to a fellow castaway. Meanwhile, an alliance member becomes a liability around camp.

Fuckin' yes! Yes! Yes!

Thank you Upolu! It makes it probably predictable as fuck but THANK YOU!

Finally that doucher is off the main game and I highly doubt he will be able to beat Ozzy.

Ways in which I love Sophie even more:

1) Her barely concealed belief that Jeff is a moron.
2) Her continued disdain for Brandon.
3) "Screw Cochran."
4) She or Albert will have immunity the rest of this game.
5) Writing "John Cochran."

At this point, I kind of think you could call this season Sophie and the Goats. The other five have to realize it at some point, right? I hope not. Just so long as someone beats Ozzy when he returns.

Also, John? You suck. Still. Go away. Forever.

I saw tweets about Jeff saying he had 4 armed body guards at Tribal Councils. Is that new or is he afraid one of those members is off his rocker? Little Hantz once again showed he is a tortured individual - but it is Cochran who brought up the victim of an insane mass murderer.

Well, that was one of the more entertaining tribals in awhile. I laughed, Lil' Hanz cried...

I actually thought they were going to vote Rick, so this was a pleasant surprise. Self-entitled, mother-massaging (ew?), misogynistic Cochran, a welcome goodbye. And try not to let the flames hit you on the way out.

Tons of good lines, too. Credit Cochran for "it's like trying to talk to you about shirts that aren't blue, Jeff." Even Jim, who obviously hates Cochran with the fire of a thousand suns, laughed. And "Just use the steps" may be the best exit line ever.

All in all, season may finally be picking up.

Still Team Sophie.

Also my love for Sophie was waning and I was getting disappointed in her but damn...she brought it back full force this episode.

Today was hers to take.

Johnny, Johnny, Johnny. For somebody who calls himself a fan of Survivor, you're not that bright. In this game, loyalty will only help you out for so long. Just ask Lex . . . when he's not bitching about the scars Rob left in his back after stabbing him there.

On the bright side, Cochran's ouster sets up perhaps the best Redemption Island showdown in the format's history. Sure, others could've been sent in to make it as marquee (Albert, Coach, Brandon), but Cochran's big move was a slap in Ozzy's face . . . or at least Ozzy would think so. A match like this is the reason why he's climbing trees in RI, fishing like Rupert, and doing everything short of jogging in a red sweatsuit while an older guy named "Doc" pedals in front of him. To Ozzy, beating Cochran would be the ultimate payback. Shit, I'm surprised he didn't load up a bag of coconuts and lay in wait for his betrayer.

I do hope Ozzy loses next week, just to bring some sort of change, and the possibility of Team Ozzy jury members bum-rushing Cochran on Day 39. Or maybe I should just wish that Burnett & Co. stops recycling Day 38 endurance challenges. Given Ozzy's star power and Probst's tendency to man-crush, I should be thankful the challenge wasn't pissing for distance. So long, Whitney and Dawn!

I'm still not really thinking Coach is going to win, though the possibility is looming larger. This isn't like last season, when I woke up and realized that Rob was surrounded by some weird hybrid made up of moron and sheep. For the most part, these guys are playing for themselves, and I appreciate that. But if Coach winds up going into the final day with Edna and another goat (Cochran? Ozzy? Brandon?), then he's got too good of a chance.

Thanks, Brandon! Thanks for reminding us that you can bring the crazy to Tribal Council. Only thing missing is the jedi ghost specter of Russell egging him to bury the machetes and burn the others' clothing.

I am so glad Cochran is gone. He was so skeevy tonight. Talking about massaging his mother. Gazing at Coach while he was showering. Then talking about the woman rubbing him on his inner thighs. Ewww! I did not need that picture in my head.

Princess Albert. That did make me laugh.

Sophie and surprisingly Coach are the only ones I still would be OK with winning.

Well, this was predictable...fun but predictable. Watching Mister Strategy finally realize that he'd made a stupid move that he wouldn't get credit for would have been more enjoyable had he the sense and decency to realize that his reward would be to get creamed by Ozzy at Redemption Island. I'd tell him to take it like a man but, well, y'know........

Man, Sophie pretty much might be the one person from the new cast of characters that might get an invite back to a future season (similar to last year's Phil, Andrea, Matt...and then this years Cochran and even Brandon). Her run may have ended IC wise, but she is competitive. As mentioned, it's not her fault John flipped. Who cares if she owes him nothing. John turned on his team, fair enough.

Nice win by Albert. Long overdue. Though I may have laughed upon him giving up his gift to Cochran as a master plan to take out Sophie. As much as I neither like or dislike Coach & Albert, this season would be Albert's immediately had he pulled aside Sophie to whack Coach while he was enjoying an award with Cochran. JMO.

I'd like Sophie more if she wasn't alligned with 2 douchebags Coach and Brandon. At least Albert is TRYING to make something happen game wise.

Coach is also an idiot for voting out a guaranteed goat for the F3, really really stupid. It'd be like Rob voting out Phillip last season.

I can't remember the last time I enjoyed an episode of "Survivor" more. Funny how John thinks Upolu owes him for saving them when he felt like he owed his tribe nothing for them saving his pathetic ass all during the pre-merge.

The big question is whether he'll piss his pants before or after the duel officially starts next week. My money's on "before"!

What? There are plenty of people that had game last season. This cast makes last season look like the "Black Widow Brigade" from Micronesia.

And speaking of last season, wasn't this episode last year also called "Cult like?"

She's the only one *I'd* want, but since the "woman who weighs more than 125 pounds" slot is Cirie's until she doesn't want it anymore, I doubt we'll get it. Instead, more John and Brandon! Oh boy!

Ah, Albert brings the pretty but not the brains. He fake out with Cochran... really, Cochran would believe that Coach wanted him gone but Albert was trying to save him???

Sophie rocks.

Cochran did get off one good line before almost walking into the fire and then off the edge of the platform.

Ozzy must be so tempted to strangle Cochran in his sleep. And I don't mind if Ozzy beats Cochran. In fact, I want Ozzy to get back in the game and then become the only person to have been voted out 3 times in one game.

I'm starting to suspect that the real misogynist in the group is Albert. There has to be some reason why he has such a deep disdain for what has been traditionally considered women's work. There's something weird about calling a person, "Martha Stewart," in the same tone of voice that Cochran used for Charles Manson.

I know it's a long, long shot but if Cochran beats Ozzy at RI it will become my favorite Survivor moment ever.

I'm starting to get seriously worried about Brandon.

It seems that everyone in this game has insulted, humiliated or bullied Cochran. I'm sure it's just a coincidence since this appears to come as a surprise to him. What a pill.

Did anyone else notice the look on Dawn's face as Coach went up to vote? Like a cross between 'what's that smell' and 'wtf is with the jacket'?

That is one seriously attractive jury. At least for the 3 days it takes for Cochran to get there.

What did Cochran ask Sophie at tribal council? I only heard the last words...immunity...but she had such a look on her face after that. And Cochran said something as he was getting ready to leave that made everyone laugh, but I couldn't understand that either. Can someone tell me? Once in a while, I can't hear what they are saying.

And how could I forget Brandon. He really hasn't found any of his marbles, has he.

I think he's clinging so tightly to the Cochran and then Edna meme since beyond that, his head is going to explode if he has to turn on one of the final five. You can already see it eating at him. He's so black and white and once there are five, and there is no way he can keep his word to everyone...... someone has to explain it to the boy that playing by the defined rules of the game is not rejecting your god or being a bad person. But hopefully NOT until after he's out on his ass.

Heh...saw that one coming as soon as the flip happened. My jaw was on the floor the entire episode, though, at Cochran's sheer sense of entitlement. I thought that he genuinely believed that Upolu liked him, and he would see this as a massive betrayal. But no, the little weasel simply believed that they owed him! That's pretty rich, coming from someone who threw Ozzy under the bus after Oz went to RI for him.

It may make for a predictable endgame, but I'm so happy right now. Love seeing idiots who masquerade as geniuses get their comeuppance. And Sharon Tate? Seriously? The boy has some mega-issues. Hope Ozzy's sleeping with a machete at hand (kidding, at least sort of).

Tell me again why Jeff likes this loser so much?

In watching the conversation between Edna and Cochan, I could swear Edna was saying that Cochran threw the pre-merge challenge; giving Upolu the numbers going into the merge.

I also liked that Rick took his hat off in respect when Dawn and Whitney each threw their buffs in the fire. Nice.

And could Cochran be more full of himself?

It will be interesting to see if they keep Brandon next week and send Edna packing. I think they are all stupid if they keep Brandon. Brandon is insane and Edna is no threat at the challenges or to win. Brandon could stay longer than final 5 if he wins immunity. And really will he be that "betrayed" if he leaves at final 6 rather than at 5? In his mind, he will because of that final 5 day they all made on the beach on day 2.

Cochran may be out at 7, but I really don't think his old Ozzy tribe would have kept him past 6, so it really didn't matter. They all hated him. At least with the old Coach crew, Coach, Edna, and Albert developed some affection for him. It was too late for Cochran, but still, in the end, he was out as soon as his tribe didn't need his vote no matter which tribe he stuck with.

I love Dawn though. Her little goodbye spiel made me tear up a tiny bit. I do think she's been re-energized by this show, and I love what she said about supporting the "impossible" in the future with her daughter. Unlike Keith, Whitney, and Jim, she really enjoyed her time out there and will take something from the experience. I wish she had lasted longer.

I wonder if Coach thinks he can dump Sophie and Albert at final 5. I assume Brandon will vote with Coach, but will Rick? I can see silent Rick being the swing vote at that point. Of course, Ozzy will probably come back in the game at final 4, but I suspect whoever is left will just boot his ass all over again, a la Matt from last season, which is fine by me. Watching Ozzy spout off about how he can win this game by winning RI challenges pisses me off. Winning challenges is one very small part of winning the game, and I would be insulted as a fan if Ozzy won by winning challenges. I felt that way about Matt last season as well.

I saw that totally differently. I thought she was giving a back-handed compliment, in effect saying "thanks for being such a fuck-up, since your incompetence gave our tribe the advantage." But since Edna's hopeless in challenges herself, the way you heard it was probably more accurate.

What? There are plenty of people that had game last season.

I what your what? Who had game last season? Phillip? Was a joke. Ashely? Ha. Natalie? Haha. Grant? Was Rob's bro. Andrea? She talked about making moves and did nothing, while Albert has made 10 times more effort than she has in actually talking to people from the other side. Edna finally woke up to her place in the alliance this episode as well. Last season had nobody realize where they were in the alliance or any attempt to make a move.
