Does anyone but me watch these Velocity shows but me? I get a kick out of this guy Brewer. He's a swindle on the hoof. To demad $38,000 for that Charger is criminal. A 17 sec 1/4 mile? That's a 15 sec car off the floor.

Yeah, but that's his whole function, isn't it? He is the "dealer," after all. The draw for me is watching the "tall man" at work. Whether it's restoration or transformation, my kick comes from seeing what Edd makes of what Mike brings in. (And as I type this, Velocity is running a Wheeler Dealers marathon; Edd's working on the '54 Chevy stepside before my eyes.)I get a kick out of this guy Brewer. He's a swindle on the hoof.

I enjoy the hidden ugly truth in the shows they're doing with more valuable cars. They buy a car that the current owner doesn't want to be bothered to fix, fix it, and sell it. They buy parts, Ed puts a hundred hours into the car, and net a thousand pound profit to split. They'd be better off working at McDonald's.

Yeah, Ed totally gets the short end of the stick...his labour (!) is apparently free
What I tend to do watching this show is yell at Ed whenever he's working under a car without safety glasses. Bad Ed.
And what's up with painting cars with spray cans!!
I get a chuckle out of the Britishisms--"cracking good motor"--but sometimes it reminds me too much of being at work (my office is the US bastion of a London-based company)

I started watching because I admired Edd's ingenuity with the British cars, but the American cars? Sorry. And a Ferrari? OMG!!!!!
And the way Brewer talks to him! I'm waiting for Edd to lay a 1/2 drive in the middle of Brewer's head.
Anyone watch the Mecum auctions?
