The new season of Life After looks interesting. So far we have seen Jackee' (Sondra from 227) and Danielle Spencer (Dee from What's Happening). They both seem to be well adjusted. I think Jackee' continues to sing and perform. Danielle is a Vetenarian.

Yeah, they were both good.

I didn't know how much Jackee's success had gone to her head....I knew when she dropped the 'Harry' during her peak on 227 that she was headed there but apparently she went beyond that. I can't remember the source of the article, but years later she personally apologized to Marla Gibbs for her diva-like attitude and they became friends again; in fact, the cast of 227 (Mary, Lester, Brenda and Sandra) is featured in the newest Entertainment Weekly's 'Where Are They Now'? issue.

Danielle - For years her stepfather's name stuck with me, as I remember when they had the accident. It is great seeing her so well-adjusted, although I hated the Dee character with a passion.

Can't wait for the 'Play' LA...it seemed like he was a deadbeat dad for years, I've always wondered how he's been making out.

Really enjoyed the Countess Vaughn episode. Interestingly, I never realized that the Countess Vaughn from"Moesha" and "The Parkers" was the same girl who was on "Star Search" and "227" .... duh.

Anyhoo Countess is a great singer, an amazing talent. Also, her Sondra Clark impression was spot on....she sounded exactly like Sondra.

I remember her doing the Sandra imitation back in the day, she was spot on with it. I wonder WTD is of the other two children.

Looking forward to the Kim Coles eppy although I hated the Synclaire character with a passion.

Interesting feature on Kim Coles. I almost forgot she was on "Showtime at the Apollo" and "In Living Color". Too bad she was pushed aside on ILC in favor of Kim Wayans. But I'm not surprised. I never cared much for Kim Wayans and always thought she was a substandard actress who benefitted from her family connections more than she deserved.

Anyhoo, I found it a little strange that the "Living Single" producers tried to treat Kim Coles' full figureness differently. That is, they were less accepting of her weight than they were with Queen Latifah and Kim Fields. But that could be because KC gained weight after the show had already been on te air for a while. Maybe.....

Loved the KC Life After....she's always reminded me of my favorite aunt and I love her new hairstyle.

Christ, Jim Carrey practically took over the show from the men, why not dump him too? Both Kims were great, too bad Keenan had to go the favoritism route. I always thought she quit due to him coming on to her, could have sworn I read that somewhere years ago.

I could see the LS producers getting upset about her weight gain...Queen Latifah was already full-figured, I guess they didn't want 2 full-figured ladies. Kim's shape then and now is great anyway.

Really enjoyed the Jayne Kennedy segment. I remember her stint on "NFL Today" and used to really look forward to seeing her on TV. CBS really did her dirty in the way they let her go. Sounds like somebody became jealous and wanted the pretty black girl gone. In general, the show should have run for an hour, as they seemed to bounce all over the place - starting stories and moving on to new ones without ever really finishing any of them.

Speaking of which, they kinda glossed over the whole Leon Isaac Kennedy episode. No mention of the infamous sex tape and such.

Anyway, glad to see she has a really great family and seems to be very happy.

Watching the Al Reynolds episode now. He comes across as someone who married a famous person and didn't realize that he would spend his days in the public eye.

The only reason that he rates a "Life After" show is because of who he married.

Star always struck me as a woman who wants to wear the pants in the relationship. I wonder if that has anything to do with the divorce.

Al seems feminine to me and a bit of a whiner. I wonder why Star would date him, much less marry him. Perhaps she just wanted the appearance of a power couple.

Agreed. I had no idea who he was until they mentioned his connection to Star Jones (Reynolds). No disrespect, but they probably should have spent the episode on someone who was more famous by themselves.

Anymore characters you hated with a passion? ;)

I always thought she quit due to him coming on to her, could have sworn I read that somewhere years ago.

I had read that Keenan and Kym were dating and when they broke up, that led to her being axed.

Yeah....KEMON! (Just jokin')

See, I thought there was a personal tension thing between Kim/Keenan myself. I could have sworn I read an article years ago in which she complained he was always coming on to her.

There needs to be a show that gives us the details on all the happenings that went on behind the scenes of In Living Color.

I found out a couple of weeks ago that actor, Ernest Thomas, (What's Happening?!) just finished filming his Life After episode.

Ooooooooh! That should be a good one....he always comes across as a positive and cheerful guy, I'm sure it'll be good.

(ETA) Checked around, besides Ernest Thomas we get BernNadette Stanis, Karyn White, Andre Harrell and Marion Jones. Not interested in Andre/Marion, looking forward to seeing the rest.

BernNadette too? Nice. I have always liked her.

Karyn White...couldn't they have done an Unsung episode on her?

Bumping the thread because the new season starts on Monday. The sneak peek showed all the people vixenstud listed above. I'm the most excited for BernNadette Stanis, but looking forward to all of them.

Didn't know Marla Gibbs would be featured.....enjoyed her segment, although she always reminds me of my grandmother on my father's side and that ain't a compliment. Anywho, she was very positive and looks great.

BernNadette's eppy was inspiring....lost it when she spoke of her mother who passed from Alzheimer's.

Loved the way Bernadette's real-life dad would threaten guys who thought about going near her. Sounded a lot like her TV dad James, from Good Times.

I liked Judge M's episode. Interesting and sad to hear about her marriage, but she seemed to carry that into her career which is always a good way of turning a bad situation into a positive one.

Did anyone watch Regina Belle? I thought it was pretty interesting. I loved how excited she was to see her old high school and just how happy she seemed to be in general. I was shocked that she had a brain tumor in 2009 - I hadn't heard anything about it. I don't think I realized how many albums she had sold. I almost feel like she could have been an Unsung episode but for the life of me I can't figure out the criteria for either show.

It was great to see Peabo Bryson! I loved when they sang parts of "A Whole New World" but I with the show could have brought them together to really sing it.

Life After: Tiffany Pollard also known as "New York"

Didn't she marry "Flava Flav" or something?
