On "Stars Earn Stripes", Dolvett tanked. Each star is paired with an Ops specialist. For the first challenge, they paired 2 teams together, so Dolvett and his Ops specialist were paired with another star and their Ops. The first challenge was to drop from a helicopter hovering about 10 feet over the water, then swim to a boat (about a 20 foot swim), climb into the boat (this is all while wearing 70 pounds of gear), then when the boat lands, take out a guard tower with an RPG, shoot down 6 targets (2 moving), slog through thick mud to carry a heavy ammo box to a shack, bust down the door of the shack and put the ammo inside, then rendezvous with a helicopter that would lift them out. While flying away, press a button to blow up the shack. The Ops specialists were supervising, but they also had a challenge. After the guard tower and targets were eliminated by the star, Ops had to take out 6 very small targets that were much farther away.
Dolvett and his team got to watch the first team do their turn. Then when Dolvett was dropped from the helicopter, he couldn't swim. He yelled for help, over and over, and they had "dramatic" footage from his helmet cam of him sinking under water. A rescue boat came over and pulled him out, but he was done. His team star partner had to do all of the challenge by herself. I think it was Picabo Street.
There was one other star who tanked - Terry Crews. He also couldn't swim. At the end of the show, the original premise was that the stars on the team that had the slowest time would face off in a challenge to see who would be eliminated. Instead, they made Dolvett and Terry compete. Dolvett had a commanding lead but couldn't pull off the last hit - the challenge was shooting targets with the final being a very small target you had to hit with a sniper rifle. Dolvett was there shooting for a long time, but Terry caught up and nailed it first. So Dolvett was eliminated but still earned a small amount of money for his charity.
