Your questions for the mod (which would be me) go here.

And for the record - I'm actually off the latter half of this week, so Howard will be modding you for a few days. But I'm back after that.

And... if you didn't see the note in the old thread -- I'll let y'all work on making the topics. Holler if you have any questions.

Could we get a spoiler thread and a separate spoiler discussion thread? Its easier to read, generally.

On a similar note: I'd like to add an in-the-media thread, but I don't know if that should be allowed to become a catch-all for every kind of link (to promotional photos, TVLine spoilers, etc.) or just for in-depth reviews, recaps, interviews and nonspoilerish preview pieces from traditional print-based media like the LA Times -- I'd launch the thread with one of the latter. Do we need two separate threads for links, to minimize spoiler bars in the replies? (I haven't seen this distinction on other threads, but I've also never started a topic before, so I'm playing it safe.) And it'll affect what I name the thread if I wind up being the one to start it. Thanks!

I think anyone who wants to start a thread can. In my experience from my "West Wing" days, the last TWOP forum I was involved in, a spoiler thread and a media thread with the occasional spoiler bars worked well....The challenge now is coming up with smart titles...

CozyKat, mgoshawk.

I think three separate Media, spoiler and spoiler discussion threads (Grey's Anatomy Forum) might be useful, only because Spoiler discussion mixed with Spoiler reports can make it insanely hard to just get the spoiler and go (the gossip girl spoiler thread is hard to read for this reason), there are pages of that thread that refer to spoiler even further back than 15/15.

Can the Media thread (with occasional spoiler bars, ITA) name be some awful joke involving press conferences as an homage to the Pilot, and the circumstances of the Deleted voicemail?

I just took the plunge and started the media thread before seeing name234's post: My title, um, rhymes but is otherwise awfully straightforward -- sorry! If the titles can be edited and anyone has an idea, let's by all means substitute!

And if anyone decides to start character threads, that seems like an area that's ripe for some title hilarity.

ETA: Love the Kalinda suggestion, maraleia! For tomorrow's results, I'm thinking of "Housewives," schmousewives: ratings on a new night.

I do hope we air on the side of hilarity in title names....but easily understood works just fine. And with that.

I'll start up spoiler only / spoiler disc / spec threads if you want. Or you can, either way.

I'd like to have a thread for Will but honestly can't think of a title. Any ideas. Or maybe we can just start threads for all the characters and have their topic names be "renamed" as we go along?

Will Gardner: White Knight, or ?

Will Gardner: the other guy.

I'm kind of kidding on both counts...

I was going to start a thread for Grace but I was wondering do you think we need separate threads for Zach and Grace or should we just do one thread for both?

Confession: I sort of want it to be a dual thread just so we can name it The Florrick Kids: They just really love black people. Because that was the best Grace line ever.

Uhh.... since I'm totally unfamiliar with the show (until, obviously, now) - go ahead and make two separate threads and we can always merge them later.

i love that title, and one thread for both kids seems like plenty, since they're usually pretty peripheral. Just my two cents' worth.

Will Gardner: Not Quite a White Knight (?) Or Will Gardner: Boss, Boyfriend, B____? (I'm not suggesting an expletive or an implied expletive, I just honestly can't think of a third thing.)

ETA: Mod question - Someone just asked a question in the spoilers thread about whether that's where actual spoilers go (as opposed to discussion of what constitutes a spoiler). I've been treating it as a place to post and discuss spoilers, without the bars. Please confirm or deny - thanks!

ETA:

Butthead?

True...but is he truly a counterpart to Beavis, which is where my mind goes....

Can we please get a thread for the star of the show? I suppose we could stick with Carol Hathaway: Lawyer, but it seems like there is probably something better.

I'm wondering if we should create a discussion of all seasons thread to talk about what's happened in past seasons, so that that posting in current episode threads doesn't go off-topic?

Regarding the now-closed "Show, we need to talk..." thread: I didn't start that thread, but I was actually glad to see one especially for people who think the show has generally gone downhill and who are firmly in the "love to hate it" camp. As someone who still thinks the show is generally excellent, I'd just avoid that thread entirely while enjoying the other threads more. People who loved Season 1 and now think the show is crap are not going to get me to "see the light" by making the same general points again and again in multiple threads. (Also, I'd humbly suggest that complaints about Tammy and Blake, who were recurring Season 2 characters, might fit best in "Discussion of Past Seasons," since there's no indication that either guest star is ever coming back. I thought they were both miscast, too, but they're gone and I'm ready to move on.)

If we don't want a specific "What happened to this once-great show?!"-type thread, maybe the "oh, for the glory days of Season 1" comments make the most sense in the existing "Past Seasons" thread?

Obviously, any fresh complaints about a particular episode or current story arc make total sense in the thread for that episode. And of course, individual character threads cover multiple seasons, too.

Just one poster's opinion here.

I closed it 'cause I had no idea what it was supposed to be about. Now that I do know, it's what the "Dear Showrunners" thread is for.

I've already checked out of this show, but I have looked in a few times since then (including obviously now), and I thought the original title beginning "Show, we need to talk..." was fantastic; relevant, very funny, inclusive, and maybe not so well timed. If it had appeared a few days prior, when I was airing my own reasons for ceasing viewing, and a few others were expressing their dissatisfactions as well, it would've been the perfect place to vent.

Anyone who's watched since the beginning would've recognized the references, I think.

It just happened to appear in between shows, when most who had grievances had already aired them.

Nothing wrong with "Dear Showrunners," but I feel I should give a shout-out to name234, I did think the original title was brilliant. The only reason I didn't contribute on it was that I had already said my piece.

To be fair, name234 does indeed get credit for the original name. But yeah, for those uninitiated or just coming on board (like me)... that might've left 'em scratching their heads. I mistook it as a random thread 'cause it didn't say anywhere in there "Showrunners" or "What's wrong with the show" or anything like that.

We're all good.

Would a thread to discuss the times when the show gets it wrong when it comes to how it represents the law? Or, would those posts go into the Dear Showrunners thread? ('Cause I've got a starter post (& thread title) waiting to go.)

What happened to the awesome quirky-judge shout-out subtitle on the "Legal Nitpicks" thread? I came back to visit just for that. Now my post on the topic makes no sense unless you know how it used to read.
