I'm going to call sarcasm on that one, and add it to the pile of spoken and unspoken evidence that they cannot stand each other. Especially since he didn't respond.
Not overly sad to see them go, I think looking like you're enjoying the experience is the number one way to stay on this show, even ahead of dancing well, and she couldn't do it. Maybe she would have gone another week or two with a different pro, but she just didn't have much going on in dance ability or personality, and those rehearsal packages with Val made her look like a brat.

I think she is glad it's over and she doesn't have to spend another 50 hours in rehearsal between tonight and next Monday.

And, he didnt meet mine. Glad he's gone.
Elisabetta was in a really tough spot. Val went from dancing with a world champion partner to a novice practically overnight. There was no way Elisabetta could have met his expectations.

Val: "We're a proud nation. We're a welcoming nation, but [Americans] have our own idols and our own fan base. This show is about people who have huge fan bases. We can't compete with that. Yesterday, we did [well], but unfortunately they gave our score to five other couples. That killed all of our chances."

I think if Elisabetta had Dmitry, Jonathan, Louis or even Tristan as a partner, she would have squeaked out at least another week. IMO, people vote the team as much they do the celeb.
