Hi, everyone.

We've got an actual forum now and I'm your moderator.

This is the place to ask questions or make suggestions pertaining to the Walking Dead forum.

I'm going to start a few basic threads. Posters are also allowed to start new threads, but please read the FAQ first. Don't start a thread just for the sake of starting threads. Wait until you have something to discuss.

Yes! A proper forum for this! Are character threads coming soon, or okay? Rick's character thread would be awesome as Rick Grimes - Foolhardy Clutterbuck. diebartdie came up with that one. Also, Sweaty Catfish Darryl would be my choice for Darryl's thread, but his shippers may not like that so much.

Regardless, it would be truly sad if we couldn't work "Camp Zombie Dinner Bell" into one of the thread titles. Last season the cast just made so many stupid moves and their whole setup was just so foolish that Iguana dubbed it "Camp Ring the Zombie Dinner Bell", which later got shortened to Camp Zombie Dinner Bell (CZDB).

I suggest that be the title for a Season 1 discussion, since they've broken camp now.

People are asking what happens next in the comic as it pertains to the show. I realize that the show may not follow the comics 100% but I hate to see the episode threads black barred with questions regarding the comics. I've created a Comic vs Show thread since that seemed to help in the Dexter forum.

Do we have somewhere to discuss the "rules" for zombies in this show? I have a couple of questions and wasn't sure where to put them.

I think a new "rules" thread would be great! Maybe the initial post of that thread could keep getting updated with a bulleted list of the rules. There are going to be some major contradictions that get exposed, but that thread would be great, Milan23!

For the zombie rules thread, I'm going to be boring and suggest "The Actual Walking Dead: Zombie Rules of Engagement. Or maybe something cutesy like "The Zombie Guide to the Universe".

I like this. It reminds me of clippy from MS Word. "So it looks like you've been bitten or scratched by a zombie and you're dying only to become undead soon....can I help you with that?"

ETA: the old S1 thread had a spoiler explanation pinned to the top. I think it could be of use in the new episode threads because that's where a lot of spoilers are getting posted.

... is pretty darned funny, too, and does spell out that we're talking about zombie "rules." I'm for it. Gotta love a pun that makes you look again!

Those are all amusing suggestions, but they look like "game" thread names. (Game threads being ones where posters make humorous or creative entries.) I was getting the impression that the thread is actually a serious discussion thread about the particular "rules" or internal logic (or lack thereof) of this show's universe. Am I understanding things?

I'm not trying to make things un-fun, but I do want to make threads easily accessible to as many people as possible.

You are right - the reason is to have discussion on the zombie "rules" and I certainly want everyone to be able to find it and join in.

What about just having something like Zombie 101: "Rules" of the Show

I know you do, CarpeDiem, I felt a little bad asking for the edit! But, y'know, it's possible the show will stop sucking, and then we'll all be looking at that for a long time...

Is there a standard or rule for when this show will get a weecap vs just the recaplet? I think we got them for each episode last season but now it seems to be hit or miss. Just wondering so I can stop obsessively checking if there is a formula for this.
