I watched that video because I had no idea there was a Missy on the show. Now? I like her! She seems to be relatively level headed for a teenager. I have no idea if she can dance though. :-/

I think Missy was the dancer with the orange around her waist in the Top 10 girls number. She really stood out in that for me. All the girls looked great, but I felt like she was really embodying the song and dance.

She seems like more of a performance dancer than a technical one (like she said in her interview) kinda like how Mark was.

Sonya loves those dancers. I totally get why she was in the front for the geisha dance.

Everytime I look at Missy, I keep expecting her to bust out the baby oil again. Peralta-lite, indeed.

I definitely like her a lot more, after watching the interviews. Not that I disliked her before, more that i had no opinion. Was one of the better parts of the first Sonya dance, too. And going by the "sexy schtick" I like hers better because she isn't falling over herself to convince everyone that it's just a "stage" persona, and she isn't really like that in real life, *pinkie swear*.

I feel much the same way about her (vs. Jordan) and that is why I am open to giving her a chance to impress me with her dancing. Whereas, I am doubtful that Jordan will ever win me over.

She reminds me of someone famous, but I still haven't been able to figure out who she resembles. Hmm...

She's a ringer for Gloria Estefan to me.

It's completely silly, but she kind of endeared herself to me by saying the dancer who inspired her the most from previous seasons was Lacey Schwimmer. Yeah, I know, she opened up a can of worms with that one but I am one of the few Lacey fans. Also impressed that she did not say Travis Wall which was the answer of the vast majority of contemp/jazz dancers this year. I still think she's fodder unless she pulls out something amazing very early this season.

Me too, IHeartDVR, you are not alone. Missy was smart to pick Lacey as she was incredibly versatile on the show.

I have always been and will continue to be an unabashed Lacey fan. Missy definitely won points from me when she picked Lacey as her favorite. I also noticed how many picked Travis.

Off topic, sort of, but why are some many of these kids saying that want to work with Tyce? Really? Are they seeing something that we do not? Or are they just trying to kiss up to all of the judges/choreographers?

She's a ringer for Gloria Estefan to me.

Oh yeah, I definitely see that. Thanks!

This one, definitely.

I know I need to take this to Tyce's thread, but I would love to know what the real dancing world (not the fantasy one that Nigel has created) thinks of him.

Based on the little interviews I've seen, this girl seems like a doll. She just comes off as really level-headed and charming. She could be one of the first to go, or I could see her going really far. She's got the underdog vibe too, being much stronger in performance than in technique. I hope she gets someone strong as a partner. She could use the boost in the first couple of episodes.

You guys are right, she's got the Esteface. And I agree about the Lacey quality, which I think is a good thing. YMMV, but even if she seemed like a handful, I always thought that Lacey could sell a routine, whether it was Hip Hip Chin Chin or Dancing. I think Missy could be the same way.

Also, I get a Lohan a la Mean Girls vibe from her too. It might just be the hair.

Support my student Caitlyn and friend Missy on SYTYCD!

Found this in Caitlin's thread - it's a tweet from Lacey. Explains the Lacey mention, but I don't mind, because I thought Lacey was awesomely versatile (even more than Danny) in Season 3, though Danny and then Pasha will always be my favourites. She's definitely 3rd though.

Lacey has a horde of followers on Twitter. That may very well help keep Missy and Caitlynn alive for at least the first week, assuming they dance well. I'm hoping Lacey's student and friend prove to be as versatile and fierce as she was.

LOVE this girl! She performed the crap out of that number!

I also love that she's not a typical teeny girl with a high pitched voice that we normally have on this show. She seems really down to earth and slightly bitchy... but in a likable way.

I'll be the voice of dissent and say that I found her kind of insufferable last night. That's usually how I find Lacey, too, so no surprise, I guess. I liked her dancing but thought she was borderline obnoxious.

I was ready to write her off and she won me over with her first dance. She was really great! I like her a lot now, and I'm ready to root for her has the formerly invisible underdog (I wanted to root for Miranda, but I'm afraid she'll get the boot tonight :( )

A man could be ruined by a woman like Missy...if he was lucky!

I think Missy resembles Angela Cartwright. Agree? Disagree?

Now that I've watched the Sonya group number about, oh, 25 times or so, I have decided I am keeping my eye on Missy. She was all kinds of awesome in that number. She's got the sexy, wicked look down cold. I am very excited to see what she does next.

Yeah. When Missy says she's sexy, I believe her because it's just a fact.
She's one of my favourites so far.

I'm really upset too. Their cha cha was certainly not perfect, but it felt like there was very little cha cha in the routine to begin with. Once Iveta/Nick were announced bottom three, I was pissed I was going to lose at least one girl I really loved. Instead, I lost two, and two great guys as well.

Missy and Wadi seemed to really like each other and had awesome chemistry. I loved their routine last week, and I was so dreading this exact result when they didn't make any cuts last week.

I would have been fine with her exit if Ryan left with her. Alas, that did not happen, so I'm a little annoyed. But not as vexed as I am regarding Iveta.

Of everyone eliminated in tonight's mass layoff, I was most sorry to see Missy go - yes, even more so than Everyone's Favorite Nick. She was the most exciting of the group and seemed awfully down-to-earth despite her sassy on-stage persona. Too bad.

So happy for her! Either the producers felt like she left early too (along with Miranda) or the interns have been doing their forum research. I hope she gets to step into some numbers and I'm sure she'll be able to do a lot of the group routines.
