I thought up two possibilities. I'll try this one:

18matt I don't think its you. I've known the answer for a couple days. I'm sure of it. The problem is this game. It requires answering the puzzle and coming up with a new one. Its the coming up with a new one that has got me stumped. I don't suppose inserting one show inside another is allowed? I can come up with several of those. Mashups...I've got nothing. I'll go see if I can figure something out

Thought of one, so my guess:

American Horror Storytellers?

The reason that I was able to get it so quickly is that it was the exact same show combination that I was going to use the next time it was my turn. I'd been hanging on to it for weeks.

All right then:
A firefighting family wanders through space.

Yes, you got it. That was fast. I was sure that I'd get at least a couple of days worth of people banging their heads against Lost In Space or Rescue Me.

This one comes from serendipity and watching old DVDs. I think you could make a case [or not} that the latter is making a nod to the former, which I'll explain when someone gets it.

Two secret service agents protect the President from all manner of delusional arch-enemies with half-insane plots to take over the United States and the world. Over a hundred years later, white house staffers contemplate bringing in that former President to replace the Vice President on the ticket to defeat the evils of electoral math.

That would be it ceindreadh

The Wild Wild West has been described (by wiki) as a Western in the style of James Bond about protecting Ulysses S. Grant. So I thought it was funny the other day {only because of this thread} when I was watching "Strirred" {The West Wing} and Josh and CJ kept saying that Leo or Fitz Wallace could replace Hoynes on the ticket because they both shared traits with Grant. Meanwhile Bartlet spent half the episode snarking on James Bond for ordering a watered down martini {shaken not stirred} and being all snooty about it.
