Geez, Jesse's gone all dark on us. Michael has not been a good influence on him.

Of course the aliases he gave for himself and Fi were basketball players. Smart of him to use Lakers instead of members of the Heat.
I'm thinking that Jesse is the one that has the list, and killed the guy. The college student has to be a red herring.
Maddie's last line is the best thing she's ever said.

Psychos, psychos, everywhere. Miami's sure chock full of them isn't it?
Thank goodness for the massive marathon today. I would've never had remember what happened last season.
And hooray for Maddie getting Michael's glasses back! I love Sharon Gless.

Jesse blowing up Fi's house and killing the psycho was pretty shocking. He's definitely has a violent streak in him to say the least. I have a suspicious feeling that he might not be done with Michael/Fiona for lying to him.
Cool seeing the Danny Pino's "client" from the last episode play a part in this week's story, and I was shocked that he got himself killed. Props to the actor playing the killer; he had just the right amount of crazy to make it work. And Michael's cover as a psycho fanatic was entertaining.
I would say bye to Vaughn, but I haven a feeling he haven't seen the last of him and all the chaos that follows him and tends to harm Michael.
Fiona had some good lines tonight. Sam and Madeline didn't have much to do, but I'm sure they'll get more time in future episodes. Solid start for the winter season and I can't wait to see where it goes.

It was the right decision. There's no way he was getting arrested, so (a) he'd escape and others would die or (b) he'd die and probably take a cop or two with him. It was the kind of tough decision that distinguishes between the utilitarian heroes ("do whatever brings the most good no matter what I have to do") and the principled ones ("act according to my moral code no matter what"). Usually you see the Hollywood Hero come up with a brilliant plan to have his cake and eat it too, so I'm glad they didn't do that.

Yes it is, and I loved how violently she did it.I love that Fi kicked Michael to wake him up. That's so Fi.
MICHAEL: The doctors say I'm lucky the bullet missed my heart.
FIONA: That's because it's so small.
*ouch!*
MICHAEL: You shot me.
JESSE: I saved your life. Having to shoot through you to get the guy was just a perk.

I really liked the time in the hospital...Fi and Sam there with him, the call back to the pilot with Fi kicking the bed, Mike asking, "Where am I?" and Fi answering, "Miami."
I'm curious to see how the issue with Fiona's place all plays out. Is it part of some grand scheme that they have or was it just a plot device? I can just imagine all the fanfic now with Michael comforting Fi over the loss of her possessions, and maybe even the fanfics where a tearful Fi will ending moving into the loft with Michael. Heh. I'll be disappointed if they just drop it. It is sort of nice continuity though that they mentioned that she was moving because of an insect infestation. Her neighbors have always had trouble with insects, first in the last episode with Larry when they stashed the dead body over there, and then in the first episode with Jesse, when he decided not to stay over there because there was too much buzzing or something. I liked that place, but oh well. We never see Sam's place, Fi's always moving, but Michael, the ex-spy with tons of enemies has lived in the same place for years now.
I really hope this season ends with Jesse killed. It's harsh, but I find him way more annoying than any past recurring character. He's like Carla but on steroids with all his passive aggressive, childish behavior. And I agree with Dmon3k...Sam had better watch his back. Maybe Maddie too? Yeesh.

I disagree. I like that he's gone dark. It just makes him that much more complex and leaves me wondering about his character development. Nothing I love more than layers. I'm looking for some juicy developments, you hear me writers?I really hope this season ends with Jesse killed. It's harsh, but I find him way more annoying than any past recurring character.

That said, so far I still wouldn't be too heartbroken if Jesse does get killed off. He is starting to have potential, but I'm not sold yet.
I didn't figure Michael would act like a fan of the psycho bomber. As I slowly figured it out I was like "Oh yeah, that's smart." Hee. That psycho bomber guy reminds me of the movie American Psycho. His facial expressions were great when he looked so pleased to have a fan but was trying not to let his guard down too much.
Michael: "Well, if blowing up a drug den means you're insane..." (doubtful look)
Michael did blow up a drug den in some previous episode, didn't he?

LOL. I didn't catch that. I don't know that he blew up a drug den, my episode recall skills are a bit rusty, but I remember he blew up the truck coming to get drugs in Rough Seas, and he locked that guy Matheson in the meth lab in Fearless Leader and blew up some stuff around it...Hee.Michael: "Well, if blowing up a drug den means you're insane..." I'm willing to let this Jesse plot line play out for the rest of this season, but at the end of this season I want it resolved in some way that means he's not a regular any more. Whether that means he's dead or he has his job back or what, I don't care, but I'd like to start fresh and return to the good old threesome with season 5. I don't like the actor, I don't like the character, and I don't like how he makes the other characters behave.

Yes, I completely agree with you. He's essentially Batman on a budget.I have been suspicious of this for the past two years, but now I am convinced. I think that Michael has a savior complex. And I think that getting burned has made this complex of his even worse.
On the other hand, I really liked Jesse blowing up the bomber. Yeah, he was taking justice and law into his own hands. But the whole show is about that. And all the team have either killed people or discussed killing before. It strikes me that this time, the ends justified the means.

And her snowglobes!
I know! Poor Fi. I think that's why she looked so distressed at the bombing, usually she's up for an explosion and it's not like she'd cared if the guy were killed or not.
I was surprised it opened with Michael in the hospital. Bullets can hurt him, who knew? I just figured he'd slap on a bandaid and get on with the job so that was a nice surprise. Plus it gave us the Pilot wake up again.
Watched the season 3 premiere last night. Interesting comparison to Eyes Open with how Fiona reacts to Michael's burn notice. In the s3 premiere she was so hopeful he'd give up now and go on to a normal life. In this one, when Michael paused in the conversation to ask her to pass him the glass of water she didn't take the chance to change the subject. She was the one who brought it back to the burn notice. I wonder if that will last. Maybe she understands now that getting un burned wouldn't be so much about him just running off to be a super spy again but is important to how he sees his place in the world. Though to be fair, had he been unburned early on he probably would have gone straight back overseas so I can see working on it made her resentful as she equated it with planning to leave her again. She doesn't seem so concerned about that now.

I think Jesse's "Had to put the rabid dog down" line might be some foreshadowing. Or I'm looking into things too much. Still, fun episode for the most part.
Oh yeah, "Vengeful former client" made me laugh.

Maybe I'm evil, but I like NuJesse
Same here! Didn't expect him to blew Fiona's house, but I'm grateful that he killed Dennis the Menace bomber, 'cause he was grating me with his "i'm a messiah" attitude.

I too, am wondering how Jesse can save the day while causing harm/distress to Sam and/or Maddie.

Sam saying about the bouquet: "Pick that up! I put a lotta time into that!"
Jesse saying: "And how did your sunglasses get under the driver's seat?" Took me the second viewing to catch that because I am getting old.
Fiona bitching about the first person to bring explosives into her new house being the psycho bomber. I guess that's some kind of Irish tradition that got violated? Like the Scottish "first foot" thing? (I'm joking. Also, I'm part Irish.)
It seemed a bit contrived and disjointed to me, but they did work in some interesting stuff with that monologue Michael did to the bomber about why he does what he does. I really hate the voice he used for this groupie character too.

Michael did blow up a drug den in some previous episode, didn't he?
He had a female crime/drug boss blown up way back when. Him saying that made me think it was a reference to that.
