Nancy’s got a new syndicated show. From Zap2it:

Polarizing TV host Nancy Grace heads to daytime with this legal show. In Swift Justice With Nancy Grace, she acts as judge, jury and counselor as she mediates real-life disputes. There's no judge's robe or gavel, and Grace moves about the set at will, pointing to evidence or consoling a victim. Expert testimony and technology is available as well. Each show also includes a segment called Nancy Across America, where she handles a case via the Internet.

Yes, Nancy needed another show where she could be judge, jury and counselor.

Wow - this show is BAD and not even in a so-bad-it's-good way. And I enjoy all the other court shows at least enough to tune in if I'm bored. Not this one.

I saw this show today while working from home. Boring is right. I barely looked up from my pc. Zzzzzzzz.

What is up with her wearing the vest on this show all the time? She had on dress shirt with a vest today. Every promo and preview of next show, vest is on. The look doesn't do her any favors. She looked shorter and wider, out from behind the desk.

That was another thing, she likes to walk right up to the people. I hope she has security, because I could see someone popping her in the mouth. Maybe that's what she's hoping for ala Geraldo (back in the day).

I've read that she tapes a weeks worth of episodes in day. I suppose she could do a wardrobe change between cases, but whatever.

She does have security. She screamed for security to take a person out of her courtroom or whatever she calls it.

I totally dislike her using a body language specialist to determine if a person is telling the truth.

Worse court show ever.

I think the vest is probably her version of the judge's robes the other judges/former judges wear on the other shows in the courtroom/legal genre. Nancy's not a judge/former judge, either on the show or in real life (I think the show description in the 1st post says she "arbitrates" the cases presented on the show, not that she adjudicates them as a RL judge would)--she's a "crime victim (by proxy) turned prosecutor, turned "legal analyst"/TV personality (& a wife & mother of twins... LOL). The other people who "star" in the other "courtroom/legal" genre TV shows are either sitting or former (mostly former) real life judges from some level of the real US court system.

I think she wears the vest to show "I'm not a judge/former judge like the people hearing cases on the other "courtroom/legal" TV shows, but I'm still the 1 in charge in this forum". I'm not calling it a courtroom because if Nancy's not a judge--or a prosecutor--then she doesn't work in a courtroom.

I do not know if she mentions the twins as I watched 10 minutes of the first show and had to turn it off. That will be a hour of my life that I will not waste on her show.

Now I figured out why this vile person is so hateful and such a bully, she is full of self-hate! My gawd she's as broad as a barn! (maybe broader) Her mouth is always turned down giving her a derisive contemptuous scowl..you can almost see the venom running down her chin. I quit watching her other show. I watched a bit of this on my DVR before deleting it. I don't think the show will be around long but who knows? CNN/HLN news also brings us such "greats" as Jane Valez Mitchell and Rick (bring the camera in closer on me) Sanchez, and can't quite figure out why their ratings are down. DAH!

Or as I call her: Nancy 2.0. Seriously, they've made her *look* like Nancy and I got tired of Nancy after Scott Peterson's trial. Unfortunately, Nancy gets a lot of press here in Atlanta since she's from Georgia and I saw a "preview" of the show on our Fox 5 morning show and had to run away faster than normal. Then I caught about 2 minutes and ran even faster. She was insinuating a man raped this girl because of her blackouts and the girl wasn't cottoning onto the fact really well. It took Nancy about 3 times asking before the girl said that she blacked out most times she drank too much. But I was just appalled and felt icky watching that kind of attempted vilification.

I really didn't like the first episode and couldn't quite grasp the concept so consequently had no intention of tuning in again. Unfortunately for me, I caught a few more episodes and was appalled to see her crying along with her "guests" but when she blew a kiss at the mother/daughter duo I thought I would hurl and knew I was done for good. So, thank you for releasing me from this maudlin dreck Nancy!

I give every court show a chance but I am just not liking this one. The "judge" or whatever Nancy is considered (mediator?) should never be biased, show emotions, or seem to side with one party as Nancy has in a few cases already. Court shows that are the most sucessful IMO follow a formula, 3 cases per hour, or 1 per half hour with introductions and follow ups. This show jumps around, sometimes having 1 case sometimes 3-4 that are so quickly resolved that if you miss 15 seconds the next case can be started and you miss the judgement.

I find Nancy's ridiculousness amusing, so I thought I might enjoy seeing her in this type of forum, where she could really rip into people, like Judge Judy does. But this show is just...boring. The Skype thing is totally worthless. If the show is too cheap to fly the litigants in, then they shouldn't bother.

As repugnant as I find holier-than-thou, judgmental Nancy, I think compassionate, sensitive Nancy is even more revolting.

Today's show about the law enforcement officer was very irritating. She questioned the plaintiff about how he could afford designer clothes on his income; hasn't she heard of TJMaxx and other discount stores?

I pretty much let Nancy go when she invited Jon Gosselin on her show, and wouldn't let him get a word in edgewise. She literally asked and answered the questions for him. I might give this show 2 minutes, but it's not looking good.

That was on the Insider, she just showed it on her show over and over. I thought that was Nancy's one and only shining moment, boy did I enjoy her grilling that dumbass douche.

Swift Justice is so boring, no focus and Nancy being treacly sweet and caring. Nancy needs to go full bitter, seething asshole or give it up as a "mediator."

Nancy Grace don't need another forum to spew her bitter and judgmental BS. I'm still counting the days for ABC to cancel this piece of crap and replace it was JM repeats.

They are already showing reruns so how many episodes did they make? Maybe it is a sign it won't be on long.

I saw two of the shows today, not sure if they were repeats since when it airs I'm normally at work. It was boring, except I did notice that with the guest experts, Nancy had to interrupt them, just like on her other show. Honestly, it must be such a burden to be right ALL THE TIME. Her husband must be a saint, be paid big bucks to stay with her, wear earplugs constantly, or be out of town 5 days out of 7.
I cannot imagine why any guests would go on any of her shows, unless she pays well.

The show was pulled from my local channel. I think it is matlock that is replacing it. I have to admit I'll miss Nancy glaring at the litigants, she was my comic relief before the kids get home from school.

Nancy is an idiot. There was one case involving a dog attack in which the planiff's award was lessened because they had a dog attack the defendant's dog 12 years ago. She deducted the defendant's vet bill from the award with absolutely no proof. She has done that on other cases, too. Statue of Limitations , anyone?

I watched this show partially yesterday and then again today (home due to viral infection - so nice background as I am doc's orders to rest). The one case I remember, kind of she said, she said. One party took lie detector and passed all questions. Nancy was ready to rule for the person who did not take lie detector, then said well that changes my mind. So then second person says well I want to take lie detector test now. Of course, she failed every question.
If this is supposed to be some sort of court, wouldn't Nancy follow court policies? I didn't think lie detector tests were admissable??
She definitely dials back her venom on this show, but that leaves it a little boring. On the other hand, I cannot imagine going on a show as a defendant or claimant with her persona from her CNN show. No thinks, I'd rather go to a local court, or face one of the many other judges on tv.
Were all of the other tv judges actually judges in real life? Or are they just self appointed tv judges after being attorneys or DA's??
Can't see this show lasting as it's basically a time filler.

Most of the tv judges were real judges. The last one that I recall who was billed as a judge who wasn't was the previous Divorce Court judge, Mablean Ephriam. That's the thing about Nancy's show I like, they don't pretend she's any kind of judge or that they're in a real courtroom.

I don't know, the new set looks more court-ish now that they changed from a blue to brown background. Although, it looks more serious now, and less space-agey and gameshow-ish.

That's because the show moved from Atlanta to Hollywood. The show is taping at the Sunset Bronson Studios (formerly the Tribune Studios), home to Judge Judy, Judge Joe Brown, and Los Angeles' CW affiliate KTLA.

I have loathed this vampire ever since she battened onto the Caylee Anthony case and Would.Not.Shut.Up about it. It was 2% compassion for the poor little girl and 98% THIS IS HOW I WILL DRIVE MY RATINGS FOR A YEAR. Exploitative and vile.

Ugh. Just ugh.

Thank goodness she changed her wardrobe...Before I kept waiting to hear her say "Do you want fries?" I believe she stole that uniform from a McDonald's assistant manager.
