This year KS kept saying 7. They didn't say anything about 8th, KS did say something about a partial season if it came to going past 7. May be that's  what the asking Charlie about 8 is? Covering basis if it comes to a few more episodes past 7.

That was a great article and it lead me to this one, Donal Logue talks about Toric, the school shooting and this season (no spoilers):

With SOA's ratings, I wouldn't be surprised if FX wants to drag it out. They're already padding the episodes to 90 minutes.

'Sons of Anarchy' postmortem: Kurt Sutter and cast talk 'Wolfsangel' shockers

Sons of Anarchy’s Kurt Sutter on Otto, Charlie Hunnam’s Sex Appeal, and Collecting Birds

ETA:

KS did a Q&A with Amazon today, he got asked about season 7. He said that would be the end, but said there may be more episodes. So no season 8 but may be  more episodes than normal to season 7.

Really hope this is the correct spot for this post.

http://m.tmz.com/#Ar...-parents-estate

Not really good at posting links from my cell, but apparently there's a slight possibility that Johnny Lewis may have fathered a child with Diane Marshall-Green, who had a small role on SoA.
Lewis' father is denying it and saying his son was wrong and that he and his wife should be entitled to all of his estate.
Hopefully I was clear on the gist of the story.

According to playbill Maggie Siff is pregnant. Maybe that's why they wrote in Tara's pregnancy and it isn't fake after all?

I don't think they wrote this in for her, she's not showing in her recent pics and episode 1 of this season was written and filmed a long time ago. They're filming the end of the season now and she's still not showing based on the filming pics.

She could have her baby before they even start filming the next season. Depending on when they start again, but they'll probably do a time jump for the fact alone that CH probably has to cut his hair for his movie. lol

We're also already at 6x4 being aired and only 2 weeks has passed since the season 5 finale in the shows time line. The series finale could technically in their time line happen only 2 months from where they currently are. LOL She'd never need to be shown pregnant.

Entertainment Weekly's cover story this week is SOA.

This week's cover: Inside the violent FX drama 'Sons of Anarchy' http://ow.ly/pEr1L  #SOAFX

And shockingly enough, the Primetime Emmy's are having an evening of Sons of Anarchy panel with KS.

Interesting none of the actual SONS are going to attend, especially Charlie.

Charlie drops out of Fifty Shades.  I think this reasoning is just unbelievable.  He seemed so excited.

'Sons of Anarchy's' Charlie Hunnam speaks out after 'Fifty Shades of Grey' exit

Since departing the role of Christian Grey in "Fifty Shades of Grey," "Sons of Anarchy" star Charlie Hunnam has avoided making comments or public appearances. That is, until Saturday (October 19), when he joined his fellow "Sons of Anarchy" co-stars at the second annual Hogs for Heart event, which benefits One Heart Source Education Programs.

When asked by E! News how he's been since the announcement he was leaving the role, Charlie replies, "I am doing good. I am just really concentrating on work. It's been a really busy time."

It sounds like even without the movie, Charlie has his plate full, adding, "I have had some family stuff going on so just trying to stay focused and stay positive and keep trying to do a good job at work and be with my family and stay positive." Hunnam's father passed away in May, leading the actor to return to his native England to spend time with his family.

Charlie is currently finishing up Season 6 of "Sons of Anarchy," after which he's planning to go to England again, for even more family time. "Then I have a film that I am doing with Guillermo [del Toro]. So I am going to go and do that and concentrate on the final seasons of 'Sons'," he says.

He also says there's a possibility the final season of "Sons" may run a bit longer, something creator Kurt Sutter alluded to during the TCA press tour. "There's rumor that we might do a couple of more episodes and do a little bit of an extended season next year, so we will see if that happens," Charlie explains. "It may or it may not. But I just want to finish that strong and go on to a new chapter of life."

Thanks! Wow, that was a very long clip package, I kept skipping through it and would never end.

Jimmy and Dayton didn't really add much to the panel at all, especially Dayton. Jimmy seemed to ramble at questions and not even answer properly. Kurt, Maggie, and Katey were good. None of the Sons being there was a loss to panel I think, instead of Dayton and Jimmy they should have had Ron and Theo or Kim, Charlie anyone but Dayton and Jimmy.

Nothing really new was said, doesn't seem like Gemma's running away with Nero based on her answering the leaving the club question.

They all said the word betrayal a lot, Jimmy rambled about betrayal in this world, they all mentioned lines crossed. I guess they're setting up people to die or something.

Kurt was basically mocking people with the "this show is all about love and hope" repeating. LOL

Jimmy was very cagey about whether we would see more of the sweet pimp, or the OG.  There was no hint that the character would not see the end of this season, as far as I could tell.  YMMV.  He did not reveal how or if Nero would even get out of jail for the bogus murder rap.

Sutter kept mirthfully saying that the theme of the show was "Love and hope.  With dancing."  Pretty funny.

I guess here is the right place for this.  Katey did the EW Pop Culture Personality Test. She talks mostly about music, but there is a funny story about how she waited for hours to see The Beatles, because she was a huuuge Harrison fan - with footage of 12 year-old Katey Sagal crying and screaming on the top of her lungs. Priceless.

On 'WTF Sutter' today, Kurt Sutter. at the beginning of the video about the season finale, starts to say that "folks will be," and then he interrupts himself in thought and says, "who knows what makes people satisfied" which leads me to believe that this final episode will not have a sad ending—I hope! The title, "A Mother's Work," when completed says "is never done.," which makes me believe that Tara has more work to do. Here's the video of "WTF Sutter":

https://www.youtube....bed/6xXbYtsTdcs

That's my conclusion. Sutter doesn't give much away, but reading between the lines, I just want Tara and her boys to be safe!

'Sons of Anarchy' Season 7 spoilers: Who's staying and who's leaving

Though both CCH Pounder and Kim Dickens played major roles in Season 6, both will only be able to come back in a limited capacity due to commitments on other shows they've been cast in. According to Sutter, the chances are that they'll only appear in two to four episodes each.

On the other hand, Jimmy Smits will be back as a regular, much like the recently-promoted Drea de Matteo. Then there's Peter Weller. "Peter will be back definitely as a director for at least two episodes," Sutter says, "and we definitely will have [Barosky] back.

As for new characters, there will be a few making their way into Charming, including new law enforcement. After what happened to the Sheriff in the Season 6 finale, it was bound to happen. It'll be interesting to see how the character is introduced though, as Sutter explains, "We're trying to avoid the new sheriff in town device because we've kinda used it."

Jimmy Smits: Yay!

Less Kim Dickens? She was barely on this past season.

I'm sad about CCH Pounder. She was an interesting part of last season.

I also hate to see CCH Pounder in such a limited role. She really "grounded" S6 for me. She gave what was happening reality and sensibility. And of course, her 'off the record' advice to Jax to put his family first was so surprising,  heartfelt, and amazing. She will be missed.
