Every season there is someone that makes me say, "Who?" and clearly this guy is that person. Seriously, who? I need to IMDb him.

By name alone, he gets the same reaction from me. But once I saw who he was, I realized that, even though he is still likely the least famous of this batch, this kid has probably gotten more of my viewing time (for his role on That's So Raven) than most of the other stars. I would say only Florence Henderson, Hasselhoff and Audrina have this kid beat when it comes to whose work I have been exposed to.

I think that Kyle could turn out to be a decent dancer. I mentioned in the General Gabbery thread that I had seen him dance for a Disney Channel Games contest - random coincidence: he was partnered up with Sabrina Bryan - and while the actual dancing was bizarre, he seemed to have a natural rhythm.

I can see his fate depending greatly on who his partner is.

The interesting thing to me about the inclusion of Kyle as the Disney Channel representative is that to my knowledge he has no current Disney projects to promote. Kyle got his own That's So Raven spinoff, but it was cancelled after one season and I didn't think he was even still working with Disney anymore. Unless he's on one of their recording labels, which might explain it.

With Sabrina the Cheetah Girls were nearing their end when she did the show, but there was still a current movie and soundtrack to promote.

Because he's so young (Wikipedia says he was born in '91), the only pro I'd like to see him with is Chelsie. Plus, they both appear to be fairly short. So their heights would match well. I don't want to see him with someone older and/or much taller who will tower over him.

A Corey/Karina pairing would be very odd.

On facebook Lacey's mom confirmed that Lacey and Kyle are paired up. I actually feel kinda bad for Kyle since it seems that Lacey's choreography is usually all about her and not her partner.

Couldn't they have gotten a better, more athletic, and more famous ex-Disney star for the show? I'm sure Miranda from Lizzie Maguire or Raven Symone herself would've jumped at an offer.

I have to disagree with the assertion that Lacey choreographs to showcase herself. She may tend toward the ahh unconventional in her choreography, but her partners are always given plenty to do. The one exception to this was the WCS with Lance, which I thought was a little bit understandable. However, in my opinion, other than that she has never been one to have her partner stand in one place while she dances around them. That honor belongs to Julianne with Chelsie taking the torch here in the past few seasons.

I had to Google him and this guy has the face of a seven year old. That said, I'm still going to hold him to the standards of the baby-faced contestants that have gone before him. And I keep wondering how in the world they thought he'd look good dancing with Edyta. I think it's a good thing he'll be with one of the younger pros.

That's So Raven and the 10 minutes I've seen of his spin-off Cory in the House made my head hurt, but as Disney Channel indentured servants- sorry "stars" go, he's on the tolerable side of the spectrum. Unlike many other DC kids he doesn't seem to think he's the shit just because he has his own show:

I hope he's still got the rhythm tip and fall observed during the DC Games- my biggest concern is that he'll channel his sitcom persona and just ham it up with Lacey. I don't want to see Cody and Julianne 2.0.

I have had a crush on Lacey and Lance since their tango. Whatever she does on the dance floor is just fine by me. But now, after having learned about her shortcomings from the posters here, I will pay more attention to her choreography - hopefully one day I will learn to see what you, folks, see.
Kyle is very cute and he seems to Cha-Cha pretty good.

I thought it was one of the worst of the night, to be honest. I saw very little hip action, and while his foot placement was spot on in terms of being properly turned out, his feet were out way too much in front of his body, which really threw off his lines (I remember being taught that the feet should always be kept squarely under the body in the Latin dances.) The whole routine also seemed a little frantic to me. YMMV, but I personally wouldn't have given it more than a 5.

Kyle was responsible for the best line of the show from Lacey. "Are you looking at my boobs?" I don't blame him. Glad to see a red blooded male that knows when he's got a gorgeous woman in his arms.

I thought Kyle was the biggest surprise. I didn't expect anything interesting or good. Nice surprise that this kid is one heck of an entertainer. I hope he stays longer enough to get better at dancing. This kid could be the dark horse of the entire cast. I'm just not sure how strong his fan base is.

I liked Kyle's energy. He wsa the surprise of the night for me, like a baby Warren Sapp. I hope he makes it to the top half of the contestants.

His cha cha was actually my favorite routine of the night. I usually don't like Lacey's choreography, but I really enjoyed that routine. It was fun, youthful, and full of energy...just like Cory. I thought he hit his lines nicely, he was very fiery in his performance, and sharp in his movement. I thought he did a solid job actually. Very entertaining and full of personality. I'd like to see him go far as well.

When the host mentioned a surprise elimination, I was afraid Kyle would be sent packing. I thought he and Rick Foxx performed the best (and I' m happy they both got to stay). I hope Kyle sticks around because I think he has potential, and I'd like to see how (or if) he improves.
