I wondered when Russell was going to get suspicious of Eric. Russell does not strike me as a person to behave rashly. I wonder if killing the Magistrar was really unplanned.
Eric's saving the crown did not go un-noticed by Russell. I thought I saw his eyes narrow when Eric caught Talbot's arm.
So…Melinda is a tired, sad old dog. Surprise, surprise. She had the nerve to ask for money and then complained that it wasn't enough. Hmmph. Sam was full of awesome in this episode. I actually thought that he was going to give her more money.
I think that Franklin is a hoot, but I do not want Tara to suffer anymore. So, if he has to go to make Tara live in peace, then goodbye Franklin. Tara was right in everything that she said about Bill. Good on her for calling Sookie a stupid bitch. And she looked very pretty in her blue dress.
Did anyone else groan when they saw Crystal? Crystal….go away.
Alcide gets better each episode. He doesn't have much to actually DO…but he makes the most of what he has. His "I don't take orders from vamps" was inaccurate, considering that taking an order from Eric was how he got into Bon Temps in the first place. That almost kiss was hot.
Arlene's assessment of Tara? Funny. I wonder how new waitress peeped Arlene's baby. I almost felt sorry for Arlene after her bad dream. Her red hair has got to go; it takes me out of each scene.
I wonder if were any truth to Ruby Jean's ramblings about Lafayette's "power". Geez, is there anyone on this show who is normal? Jesus is more than he appears; didn't he whisper "yes, sir" during his phone call?
Daddy Bill finally training Jessica. Long overdue. Loved seeing Jessica in battle. I knew the breakup wouldn't last long.
I thought that Debbie was human. She looked good in this episode. Dead Cooter was the best thing that could have ever happened to her.

2nd of all, why fight sookie as a human when you can fight her as a wolf? no sense whatsoever....
3rd of all, Bill is bad enough but to not even check on Jessica? Pfft.

They should have ended on Russell crying out Talbot's name instead of the Bill/Sookie set scene. I was rolling my eyes through that whole thing.
3rd of all, Bill is bad enough but to not even check on Jessica? Pfft.
Tell me about it. I was practically shouting for Bill to check on Jessica. Obviously if Sookie was on her deathbed or whatever Bill would have felt it, but Jessica...she was bitten (and probably halfway drained) by Russell, but did that matter to him? Of course not! Sookie/Bill sex had to make it in the scene somehow.

While I don't find Talbot all that attractive, mmmmmm Eric and Talbot.
Awww Jesus and Lafayette.
Dayum! Bill and Sookie.
Bill training Jessica was made of awesome.
Jason continues to be even stupider than Sookie.
"I don't take orders from vamps" was inaccurate, considering that taking an order from Eric was how he got into Bon Temps in the first place.
Alcide was repaying a favor to Eric. So technically it wasn't an order.
More after I process and rewatch.

WOW, that was an action packed episode. Loved that Sookie was able to fight Debbie off without any help from Bill.
Also, loved the cool looking training Bill and Jessica were doing. I'm really curious about Crystal thing, now since Tommy and Sam smelled and seem to recognize them, and they knew Sam and Tommy were shifters.
The Rene dream freaked me out a bit.
Also, Talbot, Noooooooooo! ;__;

Jesus... please be good for Lafayette.
Lastly, last season Jason was at the top of my list. This season, he is weakest link. Goodbye.
I thought that was a ploy? Jessica obviously was not in any danger for real. The werewolf was begging her for mercy. Bill did the smart thing there... can't believe Russell was so easily baited like that. Eric should have no problem with him if that's the case. The Bill and Jessica scenes were my fave, and I was super happy he initially went after her vs. Sookie, but then after the wolf chased her, he goes upstairs to have some "alone time" with his not-so-ex? Thumbs down.

I totally did and I screamed go away Crystal. great minds
So much man on man action tonight. Hot, loved seeing Lafayette and Jesus make up, wanted to see more, but I'll take a naked Eric and Talbot.
Loved Eric's revenge, Talbot acting like a petulant child did not go unnoticed
One of the best girl fights I've seen in a while and I liked that they cleaned Debbie for the showdown, the actress is pretty and it was nice to not see her completely strung out.
Loved Bill reconnecting with Jessica and Jessica telling Bill about how she loves Hoyt but needs to let him go, she was breaking my heart.
Sam sniffing everyone out, so funny
can't wait for a rewatch and new episode

OK, Sookie, first of all- you ARE a dumb bitch.
Word! Sookie, just don't open your mouth. Shoot first, have grunting animal sex later.
Holly = scary. She looked like that Madam puppet from the 70's. I hope she's able to perform an exorcism on Arlene's unborn devil spawn. Although, it was good to see Rene again.
Sam + Tommy = all sorts of awesome. You smell that? Yep, I sure did. Jason, you are in for a world of hurt.
Tara ♥ you.
Ruby Jean - you da man.
Eric - gotta love a good staking! Just in time to save Beel's life. If you would have known, I'm sure you would have waited a few more seconds.

In fact, there was a lot of anivllicious symbolism this ep, more than usual. Jesus and Lafayette making out in front of Lafayette's altar of powerful beings. Talbot and Eric playing chess with Greek figures. Eric staking Talbot with the scroll depicting different sexual positions. I could have done without Hoyt crying and driving by Jessica draining the Were Swayze. There's on the nose, and then there's really on the nose.
Bill was awesome with Jessica. Good on her demanding that Bill basically be her daddy. The "How to Survive Against Werewolves" was tje best postmortem yet. Bill was awesome with Russell, questioning his balls or lack thereof. Then he got back with Sookie. I was wondering how many eps Sookie was going to pine over him before she got over it...and then hook up with him again--but not that quickly.
I found what Eric said to Russell about Godric interesting because some of it was half of the truth. He was greatly confused by Godric's sense of humanity. I wonder how difficult it was for him to say that his maker was weak.
Tara needs to consult Terry. He could really help her with her PSD.
Melinda's dog form is just as manipulative with those sad eyes as her human form.
The actors for Crystal and Calvin were perfectly cast as daughter and father. They have similar bone structures along the chin and jawline.

See, I hadn't thought about that. I was just all "awwww" after their earlier (perfect) scenes. But that makes more sense, sadly.

Poor Tara. Not only does she have to go through PTSD, but she has to have dreams of having sexy times with her tormentor. I love me some Franklin, but that has to be messed up being her right now. That shower scene was pretty hot. Loved Sam comforting her. I missed scenes between these two.
Still don't care about Crystal. I don't care where her story is leading to, I'm just bored whenever her and Jason are together. What the hell was going on in that room Jason found that guy eating in? WTF!?
Talbot was whiny this episode and kind of got on my nerves. I loved him this season, but I was surprisingly not sad to see him get staked. Why is that? Am I the only one that was weirded out by seeing Anna and Stephen getting busy? I feel like a perv peeking in their window. I'm uncomfortable now....

Did anyone hear Hadley's thoughts clearly? I rewound the scene and still could not understand what she said.
I don't know who's dumber, Sookie or Debbie? Sookie clearly could have blown off her head. Debbie turns into a wolf AFTER she leaves the house? She can't just be on V. She's gotta be on crack, too.
I will miss Talbot's commentary on home decor. Plus I'm hating that he was with a naked Eric. I'd be more than willing to call him daddy anytime!
I am rooting for a Sam/Tara reunion, but I am missing my Franklin. I really hope he's not dead. He didn't disintegrate like a vampire would during their final death, so here's hoping.
I was a bit distracted by Holly's teeth, so I may have to watch that scene again. I assume she is what she is in the books.
I meant to add that I am loving the makeup sex! For the first time since the first season, I am loving Beel again! The scene where he was training Jessica to defend herself against werewolves was definitely one of my faves.
Great episode this week!

And Sookie proved that she was a bad-ass, she really held her own with Debbie, but she should have killed her, she'll be back after her with a vengeance.
I did enjoy Sookie and Alcide, for the first time I did see some chemistry between them, I think the actor is getting better in his role, so their tender scenes did not seem as forced as some of their earlier ones.
And poor Talbot, that was really mean of Eric, to kill him just when Talbot was having the time of his life. I want to see how Russell and Eric resolve that little issue between them.
And also poor Tara, she is so full of hate and loathing for all things vamp, will she ever be able to deal with all that has happened to her? I hope she really turns to Sam for help, he will be there for her if she needs him.
I just am not feeling the Jason/Crystal vibe, she is really dull and has no chemistry with him, I am bored with their "relationship" already.
And finally Laf is getting him some, and with his mama in the next room, what would she do if she woke up and found them rolling around on the floor, I bet she would go get that knife back and really use it, on both of them.
Loved the Jessica/Bill scenes, they need each other now more than ever, and now she knows how to fight like a vamp, she is too cute for words, especially when she is draining a werewolf.
And I still don't care for Tommy at this point in time, he will bring nothing but trouble for Sam, who has plenty enough to deal with.
And the postmortem was cute, very helpful advice for the new vamps.

For the win!Poor Sookie is never going to get the blood out of her rugs, is she? Maybe she should consider tile floors instead.
I loved the books but I'm kind of glad that the show is going a slightly different direction (in some regards). Makes me feel like I'm getting a two-fer with a bunch of characters I really liked to start with. Kind of "Choose Your Own Adventure" but with fangs and lots and lots of blood.

Yeah they are going way off the story lines of the books here and I don't like it, especially if it messes up book 4 which is my fave.
i was pretty much bored the first half of the show. Sookie you are an idiot to pick Bill over Alcide. Crystal and Jason?? ::yawn:: (big big detour from the books there), Sam and Tommy :::double yawn:: (also way off from the books)
Is there only 4 or 5 episodes left cuz they got a lot of stuff to get straightened out before Season 4.

Bye Talbot. I'll miss your little hissy fits. Liked Andy totally accepting Sookie's gift. I totally love Andy. Debbie was awesome. She has the villain vibe down. Nothing like ultra violence to make you get back with your vampire boyfriend. It's nice to see Hadley is feeling bad. Poor Gran really is better off in the afterlife. Things are only going to keep getting worse and worse.
It might be my love for Carrie Preston and the fact that really we don't have to see Arlene too much but I flove Arlene. She really does the best she can. She's white trash but she loves her kids, she works, and she seems to honestly not want to be a bigot it just happens. I mean sure we love Jessica but she is a vampire and she will eat you. Funniest line of the episode was, "She's the new waitress. DON'T sleep with her!". Second funniest thing was Bill's face after Russell's BIG NOOOO.

She thought something along the lines of, "It's my fault. I'm the one who told them about you."
To which Sookie replies, "Told them what??"
