Yep, tonight's the premiere of Dino Stamapoulis's first venture after Moral Orel, "Frankenhole." An interesting tale on the Classic Universal Horror films, with Victor Frankenstein bringing celebrities back to life. Tonight? Michael Jackson, who promptly died of boredom once he met 30 year old Blanket due to him actually turning out "Normal."

What's everyone's take on this show? Sure, it's the first episode, but I see promise. Victor and Polidori are definitely gay lovers, I'm sure of it. I found it great that Jacko was voiced by a woman.

I'm not sure whether this is a show with potential or not. Seemed really rough. I'll be generous and assume that the writing will improve after a couple of episodes.

The Michael Jackson thing is getting really old, like making Herbert Hoover jokes.

It's nice that they ran it back to back with Moral Orel.

I was somewhat more fascinated by the style of the (paper?) puppets than by the plot, but I added the show to my DVR.

Meh. I know that I warmed up to Moral Orel eventually, but this counts as a slow start.

You know what the character designs remind me of? Rankin-Bass's "Mad Monster Party."

This week: Thomas Jefferson wants to please his slaves, so he meets Barack Obama...and every other important black man in history to become the Brother of Frankenstein.

I don't quite think the show is any good yet, but I'm giving it a chance.

Better. I mean, it's bad using Gary Coleman after his death, but it's better. Dino excels at musical numbers. Now if only he'd lop off the opening intro pieces. "Intentionally unfunny" is Tim & Eric's province, after all.

Re: The Dino's Dungeon segments: I hate to say this, but Tim & Eric did this better, especially since we came off 7 weeks of Dr. Steve Brule's hilariously crappy show.

Three episodes in, and we see Death come into the series. Hey, Victor HAS kids...who are elderly, yet still act like children. And Victor doesn't care if Death comes for them. But, in a way, Victor does care about Death, since he, Polidori, and Elizabeth took that immortality serum. He remains youthful, but when Death refuses to kill the kids...they're still going to age. Damn. I liked the ending with Death reading the mangled fairy tale to the kids.

I didn't watch it, but I'm fairly certain John C Reily's show was as unbearably unfunny as anything Tim & Eric ever worked on. But yeah, Dino's intros scream, "I cannae stretch the story any longer, Cap'n!" Sorry, dude. I like the shirt.

And I think the show's getting better, slowly yet surely.

Yeah, it's a little more polished now. Definitely more entertaining. For some reason I found the Doctor's little Death-mooning butt waggle to be really funny.

The old geezer children were annoying in a funny way, and I liked that their parents both wanted them dead. It was also fun to see Death killing the cat more than once, and counting down the lives, and to see him get stuck with babysitting at the end.

What was even better was Death giving it right back to him. Loved this episode.

I don't agree with you. As a cat lover, I would prefer to see Death kill Tim & Eric, whoever played the title character in Fat Guy Stuck in Internet, or maybe Seth MacFarlane.

No more Dino's Dungeon segments! Was is it with Dino and really horrible parents? Not that I'm complaining about that.

Love Frankenstein's reasoning for working at midnight is because it's spooky. This is probably the best one so far, who knew that we could get an interesting story out of Frankenstein's Monster drinking with Hitler, who wants to not hate Jews. It was quite interesting to see Hitler fall in love with a Jewish leg.

I really wonder where they're going to go with the Dracula subplot.

I'm liking certain individual episodes of this show a lot (like last night's), but it's still kind of hard to get into, and I vastly prefer Moral Orel. The idea of the show using a non-linear timeline is keeping me watching I think.

I'm liking this series more and more although using the same woman who sang some of the Moral Orel ditties, gets a little weird. I love the randomness, the snarky characters and the crafting of the puppets.

I really liked how Lawrence ended up setting up a stable time loop by biting his past self in werewolf form, and how we saw one of Victor's kids as a child...and then becoming the elderly person who acts exactly the same.

This was the most fucked up episode to date. And I say that as a compliment. Ron Howard travels back in time with Einstein to meet Opie!Ron and then to Happy Days!Ron to murder him and replace his younger brain with his own. And then he molested himself to rip the time stream to create multiple Ron Howards. I just loved it.

Yeah, looks like Dino might have hit his perversion limits. Well, outside of Moral Orel, anyway. Having Tom Hanks and Andy Griffin come off as assholes was a nice touch.

Anybody who got upset with Gandhi's portrayal in Clone High is gonna love the new episode. Mahatma the Dracula blood-lovin' ladies' man? Eesh. I also dug Nosferatu. And was the vampire hunter supposed to be Bobby Singer from Supernatural?

I love how Nosferatu is in sepia and speaks in title cards. Was that Dana Snyder as the Vampire Hunter?

Gandhi becomes a vampire! Freaking awesome. I just like how Frankenstein's only afraid of fire because it makes him realize how ugly he is. (ETA: And I absolutely loved Clone High's Gandhi, even though I know that comment wasn't directed at me. Trust me, if no one noticed Jew Loving Hitler, they'll notice Vampire Gandhi.)

Next Week: LBJ wants the brain of JFK!

I loved The Bride brushing her fiery hair and blowing out the hairbrush after each stroke.

And was the vampire hunter supposed to be Bobby Singer from Supernatural?

I don’t watch that show, but that makes sense. I was hoping it would turn out to be Giles or Wesley or someone else in the Buffyverse.

What did it for me was when she set Gandhi's head on fire and him being all into it...

I am loving this show more and more each week.

And is it just me, or is the theme song really catchy? Like total earworm catchy? I find myself humming it under my breath at the oddest times.

Victor made himself and Elizabeth take the immortality serum to eventually win her over as all of her husbands died of old age...and got bored when he finally won, as he was only into her because she was unattainable. And then Timey-Wimeyness ensues as he just goes into a really weird circle. Damn.

If Vampire Ghandi and Jew-Loving Hitler didn't start any talks, perhaps Jesus voiced by Andy Dick will? I loved that he got pissed over the "modern" interpretation of his looks, the royalty-free version! I'm pretty sure the real thing would be equally as pissed off.

You think Dino wants to go somewhere warm when he dies? Between tonight and Moral Orel, it would've been easier to dig a deep hole.

And don't forget about Werewolf LBJ, who winds up putting the bite on Marliyn Monroe.

I probably should've mentioned that there's an hour-long "marathon" after the Robot Chicken block. The kicker is that the bumps have been replaced by Dr. Frankenstein getting annoyed by his co-stars. For instance, Nosferatu is trying to write a scary story, and he doesn't know how to spell "poltergeist" . . . and it ends with a pissed Frankenstein grabbing the silent vampire's dialogue card and showing him how to spell the word.

I also vaguely remember the commercials touting new episodes in December. Could there be a Christmas episode? Dino knows how to fuck up the holiday with those episodes of Moral Orel . . . so we know the bar is set pretty high.

ETA: Holy shit. Turns out the host wasn't Dr. Frankenstein, but Orel Fucking Puppington. And he dropped a hint about a possible Moral Orel special in the future. Dunno if it's true or Dino pulling some pud, but it was a fun way to end the "marathon."

Season 2 starts tonight! So glad this got renewed!

Turns out Dr. Frankenstein ISN'T a real doctor! (You'd think that he'd have plenty of time for his medical degree due to his immortality) And he's got an arch nemesis: Dr. Moreau. Nice to see other antagonists introduced like Van Helsing (he was in the show before, right?), Dr. Moreau and Dr. Mengle (voiced by Dino's daughter like so many other characters, I assume?)

I noticed Count Chocula in the group with Blackula and I'm assuming a black The Count. It was neat seeing a lot of the Season 1 characters all in one place (Mother Teresa, Blanket, Vampire Gandhi, Van Helsing)

Next Week: John Belushi! Who gets turned into his worst possible form: Jim Belushi.
