I was afraid too, but then he mentioned that he did some rock climbing and I thought he might be OK. I wonder how much time Kyle wasted with the misload. I'm sure he would have been in first if it hadn't been for that. Even though Colby emphasized this was a physical challenge, I didn't think much of that aspect. It really didn't require any stamina, just (as CHee mentioned) not having a fear of heights. I think it was much less physical than the first season challenge where they had to run up a hill to several stations and shoot different weapons.
I was really afraid that the rappelling would be his undoing
I really hope the show doesn't get cancelled, but I am a little worried. Colby's companion show Top Guns (which has been a real disappointment) disappeared from the Wednesday night lineup on H2 without any notice, although the newest episode is available on demand.

I was watching an H2 show I taped from Monday, and they were advertising the season finale of Top Guns to air Tuesday night at 11. Of course, I didn't know that, and my DVR didn't catch it. Way to sweep the show under the rug, History. I know absolutely nothing about guns, so I enjoyed the Bullet Points, but I can see where that would be a big bore to anyone who already knows a thing or two about how firearms work.

I wish we could get the low-down on why the show is in jeopardy.
And this show really needs to win an Emmy for it's high speed photography.

And I really want Greg to go.

then they could really save a lot of money and redesign the challenges in a way that highlights the competition instead of wasting money on these probably really expensive guns and things. Look at the Jack Dagger challenges--rocks, sticks, tomahawks! Still cool to watch and probably costs half as much (not to mention fulfilling the "history" aspect of the History Challenge)! As it has been, though, the challenges this season have been seriously underwhelming and boring compared to last season and the seasons before. It's just basically "Here's a cool gun only aficionados and enthusiasts would appreciate. Shoot this target." Show me some cool stagecoach action or shooting while flying backwards or splitting a bullet on an axe (Darryl, we will never forget that shot).
I watched the first episode of Top Guns, and it was ok but I have to say its the competition that draws me to top shot, not really the guns.
Anyway, sorry to see Kyle go. He seemed like real final 4 material. I keep forgetting that Augie and Gary are there. Go Chris!

I don't think going over budget would be a reason for History to cancel the show.
Colby said on his twitter that the show is very expensive to do. I don't want to see it go either.

I'm bummed that Kyle went, and also that he left because of the contestant's whim in shooting his target to cause a shootout, and also due to the final challenge involving memory and rope climbing more than shooting. But them's the breaks.

Definitely rooting for Chris next week.

I think this is the worst penultimate challenge that we've had on Top Shot. To be the challenge that decides the Final 4 and include memory and rope climbing agility just seems so wrong. Kyle was my favorite from the beginning - I'm really sad to see him go out, especially this way.
Hated the challenge. It had almost nothing to do with shooting. Most of the challenge was memory and climbing the rope.
I guess I'm rooting for Chris, since he's the non-military, self-taught shooter, but I really don't have much invested in the finale now.

Congrats to Chris, he was definitely my favorite, and not just because I'm a retired IT person myself. He seems like a great guy.
Be sure to watch the Behind the Bullet special after the finale. Greg really gets taken to town for the whole bandana thing. My favorite 'where are they now' line: 'Colin has returned the bandana to Greg.' Heh. (ETA: A close second is the blooper where the shooters have to tell Colby to 'Close the barn door before the cows get out, man.')
Please, please, please come back for another season.

Floved the Behind the Bullet special, too. It was fun to watch the friendship bracelet debacle again; Littlejohn's never going to live that down.
I've contacted History to voice my support for this show, and hope more fans will do the same. It can't hurt to try...

That was actually a pretty suspenseful finale.
I'm actually going to miss Greg Littlejohn on my TV. He is one fuh-nee guy. The bandana incident can never not be funny.
It was really refreshing seeing Greg acknowledge that he had a few embarrassing moments on the show, and seem to take it in good humor.
For some reason, I'd like to see him in another reality show. Just for entertainment value.
I did notice on that little conference with Greg, Terry, and Dylan, but there was another guy sitting with his back toward camera, wearing a black hat and a red collar. The only people I saw with black hats were Chris and Tim. Did they really have a strategy meeting with a red team member?
Also Colby's Probst moment with asking Chee about Gaby, not cute.

I wish they would air the finale an hour earlier so the wrap up show would be done at a reasonable hour. Some of us have to get up early! On demand it is, since they don't seem to rerun this season as often as they have past season.

Contrast that to Little(Big)Joke. Just when I was starting to cut him some slack, Greg goes off about his gaming clique on the Behind the Bullet confessional. I disliked his clique routine during the show, but thought he had mellowed out once the green team had formed. At least he admits to it and owns it, I guess. Enjoyed seeing him get waxed.
However, the saloon shootout was a bore. Nothing will ever replace last season's shooting of the golf balls for the most awesome shot in a final episode. At least the shooting of the flipping color tree was exciting.
Moving on to the Behind the Bullet show, which I really enjoyed. I don't remember seeing it last year, so maybe my DVR just didn't record it for some reason. It was a nice recap of the season. While the bandana foolishness got the mocking it deserved, I'm glad they didn't spend too much time on the drama. I was especially glad they didn't spend too much time with "Hey Diddle Diddle" William. With that said, it would have been nice to see some of the other nail-biting elimination challenges again instead of showmance and bandanna crap.
The closing credits were notable for a few things. While I'm sure everyone appreciated the pics of Michelle, it's somewhat disappointing that her footnote was that she's gonna be in Maxim magazine. At least we have the awesomeness of Gabbie to contrast against that. Colin's follow-up mentioned that he returned the bandanna to Greg. :) Why was Colby's zipper undone? Does he have an onset fluffer give him a nice manly-man bulge in between takes or what? I also think it's awesome Augie is helping paralyzed veterans shoot, and that Chee has applied to be an US Marshal.
If History doesn't do another season, at least Top Shot went out with a bang. Maybe another network will pick it up, like Spike or Discovery. However, as much as I'd enjoy seeing more, I'd hate for the show to limp along past its prime.

Colby tweeted at the end of last night's show that a decision about another season hadn't been made yet. He said he'd let us know when he learned something.
Please, please, please come back for another season.
I laughed all through the Saloon challenge. After last season, with Dustin's amazing golf ball shot, this season was going to have a hard time living up to that. But to go through 3 rounds without a single hit? Hilarious!
I'm happy for Chris. He's another good winner, though Dustin will always be my favorite.

While I'm sure everyone appreciated the pics of Michelle, it's somewhat disappointing that her footnote was that she's gonna be in Maxim magazine.
I never thought she was a serious shooter, she was just there to flirt and show off. If the show is going to fill its apparently limited female slots I wish it were with real markswomen and not model wannabes. More Gabbys and Taras and no more Michelles, please.

I'm glad Chris won, though Littlejohn grew on me enough that I was happy he lasted until the finale. He was a whiny little girl, but he was entertaining and at least seemed to have a decent sense of humor about his own ridiculousness. Enjoyed that Behind the Bullet show, too. This was the first season that I watched where I didn't actively hate anybody.

But the last challenge more than made up for it. Props to Littlejohn, who was such an embarrassment in the first
half and then took his performance to a shockingly high level. Looking back, Littlejohn losing his best buds seemed at the time to be bad for him and great for us 'cause of the hilarious behavior it elicited from Littlejohn. But I think it was actually a godsend for him 'cause it forced him to leave behind that junior high immaturity and man up. He performed consistently well the last few weeks and earned that very tight second-place finish.
Chris! Not much more to say about how great he was, especially in the finale where he fell behind at the end but recovered to beat Littlejohn at his own game on the grenades. That was another comeback win in an elimination challenge for Chris. I hope the show comes back just to see more high-performing self-taught, non-military/law enforcement shooters.
I can't believe Augie had three shots to beat Littlejohn and missed all three! The only thing more inexplicable than that was Gary's goose egg at the saloon, even on seemingly easy/easier shots.
Really hope the show comes back.
