Thanks, Mars477! I was... disappointed by the hiatus so I was willing to pay $2.99, and it was worth every penny! Only problem? I doubt they'll let the next episode slip through to iTunes, so there's still gonna be a three month wait. I hope not, but...

Okay, so it appears it's as I thought ... CN didn't air it, but Before the Dawn showed up on iTunes anyway. Thank god.

So, I guess spoilers tags are going to be something to learn.

All in all, this episode made me very happy.

And I just have to say that I really like Artemis's costume as Tigress, a lot. I almost kind of wish she keeps it when she abandons her cover.

Plus now she's basically a ninja.

I bought the episode, and it was definitely worth it. So now we'll probably have to wait until January for another? It's really unfortunate that a great show like this is getting this kind of treatment.

This show is so great at creating at stakes and tension. Everyone's actions have consequences, nothing's easy... I never expected the five-year jump and the "Invasion" thing to work, let alone be great.

I like Artemis-in-Disguise's costume EXCEPT for that mask. I suppose it's a backup in case somehow the transmorphic spell changing her appearance to other people goes screwy, but still. Weird.

But yes, I like her mixing up her weapon types.

Just so I'm clear . . . the only way to watch new episodes is to pay for them? How is that fair? Where is CN's logic in putting their toys on the shelf?

Thank you so much, Mars477! I'm really glad that the episode is available on itunes since Weisman wrote that it was originally meant to be the episode before the hiatus. At least we're sort of in the writers timeline for the show's presentation.

Well paying isn't the only way to get access to episode 210, Latern7. But we don't discuss the Dark Side of the internet here ;)

As for the episode's content,

Unfortunately, we'll have to wait three months for the rest of them. If this petition gets enough signatures, we might get Young Justice back earlier than January. Otherwise, we're in for a bitch of a hiatus.

I want to believe that between the iTunes sales of the episode (I saw a screencap that showed Young Justice as #1 and Green Lantern as #2 on the iTunes TV best seller list at some point), the fan feedback and the petition, Cartoon Network will decide to rethink their ridiculous schedule changes, but has that ever happened before?

I know that Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon have histories of treating their older fans like garbage. I was out of the tv scene when I went away for school, but I know that Nickelodeon treated A:TLA abysmally as it first aired, and CN has pulled stunts like this with Justice League and other shows. On these boards, Adult Swim is called "The Network that Hates you" but I'm not convinced that any network loves its viewers.

Another thing to worry about is that while CN keeps reminding us that Beware the Batman and Teen Titans Go! are going to take Young Justice and Green Latern's place in the DC Nation block, they haven't made any announcements about new seasons for YJ or GL. How worried should I be, based on Cartoon Network's track record? When JLU was on the air, when did CN make season announcements and the like?

It seems to me that, if anything, they're learning that bait and switching the superhero fans will lead to bigger profits from iTunes sales.

A new premiere date is better than nothing, but I'm horribly afraid they'll cancel YJ. I just wish we knew one way or another.

All I can say is it's about freakin TIME, though I'm still pissed we never got an explanation from CN as to why they pulled DC Nation in the first place. I only hope that if Cartoon Network learned anything, and I mean anything from this debacle, it's that Young Justice is worth keeping.

Here's the promo for DC Nation's return.

I still think that CN never intended to yank DC Nation off the air at all, and especially not the way it went down. I would guess that if CN learned anything from this whole mess, it would be to have better contracts with the people they do business with, which will hopefully protect them from having to do things that piss off their viewers.

I could be a little more understanding if CN was actually forced to pull DC Nation for some reason, but as I said before, we never got an explanation. In any case, they should've at least released a statement apologizing for the screw up, IMO. Instead they chose not to address the concerns and disappointment of DC Nation fans at all, thus coming off as incredibly incompetent and disrespectful.

Here's the DC Nation promo from Youtube in case the other one is too choppy, and Cartoon Network just released a new promo for Young Justice on Facebook.

While I'm still cautious about the rest of the season airing, and the possibility of a season three, I'm also getting REALLY excited.

This Week: Megan finally mindrapes the wrong person!!

Seriously, you would think The Conspiracy (Dick, Tim, Artemis and Aqualad) would've planned for Miss Martian mindraping first and asking questions later. But she see the seemingly treacherous Aqualad, who captured her current dumbass beloved, and she gots ta mindrape. BTW, if I'm typing "mindrape" too often, it's because I'm making up for lost time. Aqualad is probably going to be scrambled like eggs for a few weeks . . . thank goodness Tigress (Artigress? Tigtemes?) smoke bombed him away. Meanwhile, M'gann's powers are on the fritz, probably out of guilt. You know, from all the mindraping.

Good to have the show back, even with the continuity porn and G. Gordon Godfrey. Anybody know a slur starting with "G"? He's a canon asshole, and I hope he gets his soon. Meanwhile, poor Jaime has to live with the notion that he turns against humans thanks to The Reach and his killhappy Scarab. The bright side is that Bart doesn't seem to be the "Kill Hitler in his crib" sort of time traveller. Dumbass of the Week honors go to shimmer, for transmuting the hull and nearly drowning everyone in the process. And gosh, the kid with the locks . . . ya think he's gonna be important down the line? [/eyeroll]

So, now that Aqualad is mind wammy'd is he going to forget the whole undercover plan and think he really is a bad guy?

I was confused about why that one chick was helping black beetle at the end, wasn't she one of the captured humans?

Perfect Xero . . . Shimmer is one of the Light's goons, so she and the Reach are on the same side. And crap, did not think of Aqualad forgetting he was an actual good guy. That would be intriguing and make Artemis's life 50 percent rougher.
