Who Would You Pick for Your Pro?

Who is it?
I'm tempted to go with Derek because I think he's the best overall package of instructor, choreographer, and dancer. But he's twenty years younger and I think we'll look silly. So I'll go with Maks, because my attitude can keep him in line. Really. ;-)

I'd probably pick Jonathan. I would definitely need the patient, slow-and-steady approach that he tends to use. Louis might be good, except his personality seems a little too intense for me. That wouldn't be very good for my nerves.
I'm pretty sure I'd clash horribly with Tony. And if I were paired up with Maks, Derek, or Mark, I probably wouldn't be able to go one lesson without wanting to smack my pro upside the head. Just sayin', heh.

Cheryl, Chelsie, or Julianne would be difficult for me; I'd feel as though I were taking lessons from my daughter (since I'm nearly twice Cheryl's age.) And as lovely a person as Edyta is, she's just not that good at teaching technique, in my opinion. On the other hand, I sure as hell wouldn't make her cry -- Aiden.

Now, if they picked one of us lowly real people to learn and perform just one dance of their choosing, I would pick an Argentine Tango with Dmitry, hands down.

Oh, that makes it even harder, as there are two dances that I've always wanted to learn: Quickstep and Paso Doble. I think I'd probably still go with either Anna or Kym, depending on which dance I was allowed to choose (decisions, decisions!)Now, if they picked one of us lowly real people to learn and perform just one dance of their choosing, I would pick an Argentine Tango with Dmitry, hands down.

I'd also love to be taught by Maks or Louis. Louis is such a creative choreographer and seems like a very supportive teacher.
I'm not sure I could be in the same room as Derek or Mark for more than about 5 minutes before I got the urge to hit them.

Maks might be okay - I would cry the first time and then give back as good as I get from him. And oh to touch his posterior bum.
But, seriously, Tristan.
If it was same-sex? Anna. Hands down. Unless it could be Kym. She is sweet and fun and can win competitions as well.
There were go. Let's email them and make it happen - be funny to extend the conceit of this whimsy and say, you also get a cheering section - who's cheering section would you want? Football players, actors, etc.? The Arquettes, Lukas Haas, and Paul Reubens was an interesting mix - I think I'd go with them. So, I pick David. But David has to be cheering me on too! :)
That's like my dream right there!

I think I would enjoy working with Val, who seems like an overall sweet kid, and if you could get him over his own sexpot image, he'd be a lot of fun to work with.
But I would probably get put with Mark, as I'm only 5'.

From what I've seen of her, I wouldn't have any problem at all picking Sharna to be my pro. She strikes me as being the female Tristan: she's patient, she knows how to choreograph fun, entertaining routines that stay within the rules, and she has a knack for not only bringing out the best in her students, but making them likable as well. It also doesn't hurt that she's easy on the eyes (and I'm saying that as a gay man)!
