If you watched season 5 when Mark & Sabrina danced cha cha that first night their song was "Dontcha" which is a PCD song & Nicole was the main singer of the group.

Nicole's the only singer of their group. It's pretty much Nicole and background singers. Still, I'm interested in seeing what she can do!

I think she should be pretty good and was probably put in there to ensure some good dancing. There's some polarising characters around and some who might not be great dancers so she should hang around for a while. Only thing is I don't think there's any way she wins. The best she can hope for is to do a Mya and be the better dancer but come 2nd, but she could end up like Lil' Kim.

I'm surprised she's doing the show - the Pussycat Dolls are still pretty current. I mean they did that cover version of Jai Ho. And I can't imagine that the recent disintegration of the group (apparently due in part to the overemphasis on Nicole) will be helped any by her profile being raised by doing the show.

Whatever, this is one of the casts I've known the best as a list of names, but she's one of the very few on this season that I'm looking forward to seeing dancing in a non-ironic way.

Nicole was also a judge on the Sing Off in December. At least two of the other Pussycat Dolls have been on reality TV before her, so I think she should be okay. One was on Celebracadara, and the other is on some show where stars give money to entrepreneurs or something.

His great choreography will only help Nicole's ability. She's current and well known.

Rinnger or not, I always am excited to see great dancing and have someone set the bar and I've always seen Nicole to be a great performer which will only help her dancing.

I think she's a frontrunner.

Prediction:

She will dance well. Really well.

Fans will hate her. They always hate the female sex symbols with a passion, and being a ringer on top of that?

The judges may or may not pretend to be really hard on her, but their scores will still keep her around until near the end.

In the very end, she probably will lose to an Olympian.

Mya got very far in the competition and never hit the bottom 2 and Nicole is more known than Mya, i would say in terms in today.

Plus, she doesn't seem as introverted as Mya.

From what i've seen offstage from Nicole, she's sweet and being partnered with Derek, she will get some amazing choreography.

If they deliver great dances and they can maintain a way to not be extremely irritating, I don't see how she couldn't make the finals.

Yeah, but that may burn her. I really DO think audiences for this show tend to turn on female sex symbols overall. Mya's very introversion made a few people pause and reconsider her (some came off thinking she was a bit cold and robotic, sure, but others probably saw it more as her being thoughtful).

Nicole is more overtly sexy. Her career with the Pussycats is very overtly about shaking her thang, so to speak. Some viewers may like that, some may sneer at it.

This will ONLY work, I think, if the show manages to make female views "connect" with her. We shall see if that happens.

Her previous reality show exposure (remember, she actually STARTED on one), probably won't be a factor either way since it was so long ago.

Oh I'd say she's definitely finals-bound. I'd be more worried if they had paired her with someone like Alec. But the judges almost managed to get Derek to the finals with Joanna last season, should be a piece of cake with Nicole. Having said that she could still end up in a Lil Kim situation - it really depends on how well the others do. She could be a 'shocking elimination' if say Maks & Erin become very popular and 2 of the handsome guys also dance well. So semi-final at the very least, but I think a Ballas/Hough free finale 2 seasons running is too much to hope for.

I get the argument about her being a ringer obviously and my gut tells me she will be finals bound here too, but not win. However, not voting for female sex symbols? I'm not sure what Brooke Burke counts as, but she most certainly won. I thought by now we'd gotten over the females won't vote for hot females thing.

If anything I think the ringer part is a bigger detriment to Nicole winning than her being hot.

Brooke connected with viewers with the "Mommy" thing. It was played up, VERY heavily, to battle that very problem.

Not that its anything false about Brooke. She does indeed maintain a related business, blog, etc. But its just a good explanation as to why there was a connection with the ENTIRE audience. The guys liked looking at her, and the women identified with her "doing it all" side (mommy, businesswoman, etc.)

At first I wanted her with Maks, but then thought about the whole "ringer" issue and how most of them hardly win so I'm kinda glad he didn't get her. I think she will do well, but will she win? Probably not. I wonder if she will dance to any of her songs.

I think all of her songs except for "Don'cha" are a safe bet. Actually, it would be funny if she did a cha-cha (during week one, no less) to that song, just to hear Sabrina and Mark bitch about it.

I doubt she win, but she may very well make the finals. Each season at least one "ringer" does. Plus Derek's fanbase and the fact that the judges adore him will ensure that she'll stick around.

Finals are a surefire bet, IMO. I'll be surprised if they don't dance to Jai-Ho. I'm looking forward to watching her. :)

I'm excited for Nicole/Derek which is interesting because I've had a bit of a hate-on for him since after his season with Lil Kim. I think they'll look great together and I'm shallow enough for things like that sway me. On the song choice side, she definitely needs to dance to I Don't Need a Man and I think she'll at least make it to the top three. If Johanna made it as far as she did with a bad attitude and a stiff frame Nicole should do even better. She seems a lot sweeter to me.

I would like to see this woman kicked off the show very early. I have no interest in seeing one the Trashycat Dolls on this show.

Here's the thing: I knew next to nothing about her or the Pussycat Dolls. Then I saw her as a judge on SingOff. On one of the final episodes, she performed "You Don't Own Me" (the classic song). Based on how she looked and talked, I totally would have predicted a Kim Kardashian-style performance; you know, dead behind the eyes. But it was like this entire other person had switched on; she had tons of fire and charisma. It made me like her much more. I could see her winning over large segments of the audience, if she switches on that same fire when she dances. (Note: I was totally one who thought Mya looked cold and bored while dancing.)

Nicole is going to be this season's Mya, but way more likeable. It's hard to say if she's going to win it, but being in the finals doesn't look to bleak for her considering her background, partner, and fanbase. She's one that I'm rooting for.

Cool video, love Anna and Jonathan dancing together and that's possibly the least Pussycat Dolls-ish I've ever seen the group look! Has that ever happened before - that someone who has performed on the show has then come back to compete? That's why I find it odd that so many people don't know who Nicole is, if anything I find it strange that she's on the show as she's almost too famous/current!

Yes, that's what I was talking about when I posted in the S10 Gabbery thread about Nicole having a personality problem. I think she has to switch to performer-Nicole for more than just the dancing, though... I think she has to do it for the rehearsal clips, too. Because if she comes across with the same sedated affect that she had in The Search for the Next Pussycat Doll, no one's going to connect to her.

So her thread title is Pussycat Ringer and everyone's assuming she'll dance well, but does she actually have a lot of dance training? She's the lead vocalist in the group, so I thought she was the main one hired for singing rather than dance ability. I haven't seen a lot of the Pussycat Dolls, but what I have seen, she's always at the mike singing or doing very basic dancing.

I haven’t analyzed Nicole’s personality, but I don’t think she will have any problem whatsoever connecting with the audience. As has been pointed out by various talk show hosts and even by Samantha Harris recently, gorgeous model-types often get booted off first regardless of their performance level. Seems that lots of female voters resent them – imagine that. The tide may be turning, though, because I hear lots of men are going to make it their business to watch this season and vote like crazy for Pam and Nicole. Hmmm. Wonder why. HA!

If I like Nicole’s performance she’ll get some of my votes.

I have no idea on her dance background but I put her in the same ringer category as say a Mel B. or boy banders. I do not mind because ringer or not, I want good dancing. I also doubt she will win. One immediate positive result of her participation on DWTS and being partnered with Derek is Joanna's head exploding that he was paired with a "professional". Good thing she is not on this season, she would have gone nuts with Evan's participation. Not only is he a "professional" (by her definition) but also famous!

I do hope the show does not have Robin Antin show her face this season. That woman scares me. I do not care if the PCD was her idea.

Nicole did post this picture with Chad and Cheryl which I thought was cute.
