I loved Zoe-bot's eye-scanner thing moving as far to the other side as possible when Amanda and Daniel were doin' it.

I let out a big "EWWWW" when they went at it in front of the Zoebot.
Poor Lacy, they sure gave her cankles in the first scene didn't they? Not sure why they made her so unbecoming.
I have some issues with this show, but boy do they know how to do cliffhangers!

Lacy shows some spunk with dumb kid (forget his name.)
Joseph Joseph Joseph putting out a hit on someone, that will not end well.
I really do like the relationship between Daniel and Amanda.
Avatar Zoe was kinda creepy with her purpose and all.
Plus cops.
Caprica is coming along nicely.

The relationship between Amanda and Daniel really comes across well. I did feel sorry for Zoe-A/U-87 having to watch that encounter, but a nice touch trying to look away.
Sister Clarice just creeps me right out, but she does it in a magnificent way. Though, I want her to stay away from Lacy.
Also, Nice to see that Lacy is growing as a character. Though, Zoe-A knows how to use guilt as an effective weapon.
I'm really hoping that someone is able to find Tamara-A wandering around the V-Club and explain to her what she really is.
That ending. No, No, Say it ain't so Joe.
The two new security agents that we met were totally HITG! for me. I don't know where I've seen them, but it was probably filmed in Capri.. er ... Vancouver.

On the other hand, the Adama brothers appear to be acting brotherly again. Which is apparently going to be deadly for some.
Zoe-bot showing real concern for Tamra-bot is helping me forgive her meanness to Lacey. I mean, really, Lacey's trying really hard to be a good friend. She's even going all commando-raid on boys for Zoe-bot! (I loved that.)
I found this episode to have some pretty strong characters points that were very nicely done. They were different characters and at different depths from last week, which makes me think this might have some actual going power. Which I appreciate, given that I was unsure The Adams/Greystone Sulking Hour would hold my attention.
Oh yeah ... and Uncle Sam is MARRIED TO A GUY. AND THEY'RE AN ADORABLY BORING COUPLE. Oh, the drama. There is no way this can end well. ;)

I missed the beginning of the show, so I don't know whether her character here is an ancestor or if we are to perhaps simply pretend she didn't play a minor but relatively significant role on BSG. Kinda threw me off. The actress is still irritating.

Oh, and also, looking for a heart.
That's gotta hurt.
This avatar, created by Daniel from scratch, has no relationships formed with anyone in the v-world. Wonder what type of pleasures/horrors the doorways will bring, and how this will affect A-Tamara's growth.
Loved the Uncle Sam home scene. Liked the short speech to Willie when he asked if he should go back to school & start the day over - that basically stated, "Finish what you started."

Wait, Tamarra needs a heart, Lacey needs courage, zoey needs a brain? Good Lords, we've already got the tin men...
Frak. They're doing the wizard of oz.
Who's toto, the little shmoo-bot?

So the robot-smitten geek assistant didn't make an appearance. I hope that's not over. It was cute when A-Zoe smiled at his adoration. Lacy would do well to enlist his help, but A-Zoe didn't give her a clue. Ball dropped?
Anyway, love the show, love Sam.

So Lacy isn't being manipulated by Clarice after all. She doesn't trust her and neither did Zoe. Good for her. Clarice has apocalyptic intentions for Zoe. Of that I'm sure. If the STO didn't order the maglev bombing it had to be Clarice. No way that schlup Ben did it on his own.
Joseph, Joseph, Joseph. How corrupt you are. No wonder your son rebelled against you. Maybe Tamara A will be the cylon to bring war, not Zoe A. I'm loving these characters. Daniel, Daniel, Daniel, you are the harbinger of death just as much as your daughter was, only you're willfully blind. You're on the road to a living hell and no one can save you.

I'm loving this show. Joseph - you're not the man I thought that you were in the pilot and the first episode, but I'm not all that displeased from a purely character standpoint. This should get more interesting even more quickly.

-Was not expecting that end. Bill Adama definitely didn't take after his father. I wonder if Joe Adama does eventually redeem himself as the show goes on. If the show does get a chance to stay on for a while.
-Sam Adama's beatdown of Daniel. Also awesome.
-Really felt for Daniel here. Amanda put him in a terrible bind with her stupidity. Can totally understand not wanting to bury his daughter in public but his life and his company are crumbling down around him. He can either be buried in the rubble or take the steps he has to to move on.
-Tamra Adama in the VClub with Zoe A and Lacey. Interesting development.
-Speaking of terrible binds, Lacey is on a collison course with a greater tradgedy. Zoe A has put her in a hell of a bind with this. It's going to be fascinating to see how this plays out. Zoe A is definitely becoming a master manipulator.
-The investigation plot is interesting too but I did have to object to the evidence tape. VHS? Come on! A technologically superior world and the police are still using VHS? It's just ridiculous.
-All the characters on this show have a lot of shades of gray. I hope that doesn't completely consume every single one of them.
-Nice to see Patton Oswalt. Just saw him in Big Fan and I liked his work on Dollhouse. The look into Caprican society continues to be a highlight of this show.
-If you get in a car with Sam Adama, you're screwed.
-Didn't realize that was Kat as the PR lady. She always looked good but she looked great here. Great legs too.

It's interesting that they brought Tamra back. Wonder where they're going with that.
It's also nice to see Zoe back in the virtual world (at least, from time to time). I wonder if we'll eventually get multiple iterations of her, a la Six or Boomer from the original series.

The episode provided an even more intriguing look into pre-Fall Caprica. This show is working on so many levels right now. Or as Spock would say, "Fascinating." It's unfortunate that next weekend is a holiday weekend (for President's Day) which explains the two-week wait, but I'm anxious to see what's next.

I thought Daniel might offer to create another avatar of Tamara. Maybe he still will, when Amanda is threatened.I wonder if we'll eventually get multiple iterations of her, a la Six or Boomer from the original series.
Speaking of which, I was pretty shocked by Joseph's request at the end. He came across as such a reasonable man at first, one who wasn't comfortable with the shadier aspects of his work. Grief will do nasty things.
I also find it interesting that Bill is being molded by Sam at this point. The development of all these characters is fascinating.

Not Leoben, but he did play Duck.
It's kind of fun to keep an eye out for BSG alum, as long as they don't overdo it. So far I recall Gramma Adama as one of Baltar's acolytes, and we've seen most of the Quorum of Twelve in one role or another. Still, I couldn't accept Luciana Carro as just a PR lady, though, because Kat was the only character I found more irritating than Cally, if that's even possible. I kept expecting her to start hopping around and talking shit at any second. Ugh.
I also find it interesting that Bill is being molded by Sam at this point. The development of all these characters is fascinating.
Definitely! Hey, Joe - when Sam Adama looks concerned that you want to kill someone, you might want to rethink it. Just sayin'. I too am loving how the Adama family dynamic is playing out, and seeing why Bill didn't care so much for Daddy Dearest. At least with Sam you know where you stand. (In deep shit, but still.) It really informs the Old Man's strong belief in honor and integrity, why he joined the military in the first place - a clear need for honesty, order, and discipline - as well as his own tumultuous relationship with Lee.
Also loved Zoebot trying desperately to look away during MomDadFrak.
I didn't have high hopes for this show but I'm really digging it. But why do we have to wait two weeks for the next ep?

However, I just don’t understand the Graystones’ absolute certainty of Zoe’s involvement with the train explosion. Last ep, Amanda said that Zoe was a STO terrorist and may have been involved in the bombing. That was bad enough. Now in this ep, she says that Zoe strapped the bomb on and detonated it. That was a pretty big leap in her thinking. She was so adamant in her assertion, stating over and over to Daniel that it was the truth, and he agrees with her. How could they reach this conclusion as if it was fact? Daniel was right when he said that they don’t know who did what, but he too chooses to believe Zoe's guilty with no real evidence. The thing that makes it even worse is that Amanda said that making those public accusations is something she would do all over again. At least Daniel has some problem with painting his daugher as some sort of lunatic, his upcoming appearance on Sarno's show notwithstanding.
Basically, Amanda’s proof was that Zoe had the infinity pendant, was Ben Stark’s girlfriend, and that vague e-sheet message. That’s really not enough to label her as the mastermind behind the plot. The tape of Zoe in the station with Ben before the bombing is no conclusive evidence either. In fact, Lacy told Amanda that Zoe was going to Gemenon to be with a new family and Zoe-A told Daniel that Zoe was going to take her to Gemenon. That doesn’t sound like a girl who was about to blow herself up. Why would she make those plans if she was planning to blow up that train? I am also a bit surprised that Zoebot didn’t mention this to Lacy. I expected her to be more upset over their accusations since she knew that it wasn’t true.

If Zoe, Ben and Lacy (not) were escaping to Gemenon, why didn't Zoe have the Zoe-A with her? Why did Zoe-A get left behind in Zoe's bedroom for Daddy to find? Or was Zoe-A on some kind of easily-accessible-but-passworded network or mainframe, which would seem kinda sloppy for something so secret.
I like the change in the girl's make-up, the difference between them in "life" and in the V-club.
Does anyone else go all SG1 - "Locked" - when they see the symbols moving around on the paper after the Infinity sign?
I enjoyed the low-tech police force-- it gives the impression of an underfunded and neglected police department in a corrupt society full of organized crime and political and corporate intrigue.
That sorta makes sense - social/economic differences - if I stretch a bit. Daniel has a robot butler, movie screen windows and stolen "discs" on which to upload Zoe-A's personality, and the police are still dealing with VCR tapes. But the vast differences do sometimes make me feel like I'm watching two or three different shows.
I wonder if the Syfy channel will carry "Serges" in the show gift shop along with the ball caps and t-shirts. I'd like to order one for myself. I especially love Serge announcing someone at the door, and Daniels simply says "Deny!" Take that, you religious door-knockers! You'll never get to me again! HAH!
ETA - I totally agree with postitbreakup (below). Enough with the frakkity frak frak. I know it's supposed to make the characters look more realistic - OMG, they swear! - but a make-believe swear word doesn't do it. I use "fudge, shoot, tush", but I don't go around saying things like "Don't give me that fudging shoot or I'm going to fudging kick your fudging tush!" "Frak" is just as absurd. It takes me out of the show every time I hear it!

This was probably a good episode but I was so frakking distracted. The substitute profanity thing seemed cute at first, but come on, vary it up a little. They need a substitute for shit, goddamn, asshole, cock/cunt, etc. People simply don't say fuck this much to the exclusion of every other profanity. It jarred me from the show's world every time they said it and made me cringe.
Also, Zoe as Cylon watching her parents frakking was so awkward.
Seriously! I understand they wanted to show the police have a lower budget than Eric Stolz (hate him, by the way), but how about a DVD or something at least? Or simply pushing the delete button would have been plenty. The investigation plot is interesting too but I did have to object to the evidence tape. VHS? Come on! A technologically superior world and the police are still using VHS? It's just ridiculous.

am I the only person who remembers Clarice pulling Ben aside in the pilot and basically giving him instructions on accomplishing something?
I think that was a deleted scene on the DVD.
I'm really feeling for the Zoebot now. That's kind of horrible that her parents came to the worst conclusion about Zoe. I don't think I could ever believe that about my loved one, no matter what kind of evidence was presented to me. And their evidence is not much. The slight turn of the Zoebot's head as her parents were getting it on was kind of hilarious. I'm really starting to get a sense of a personality in the hardware.
Seeing all of the BSG alumni was kind of distracting, but it's the same thing that would happen in the X-files all the time. Vancouver actors have a tendency to keep popping up in the same show. When I first saw the actor who plays Duck, I thought it was really amusing. I thought, hey, that must be his grandfather. Kat was really distracting, because she was a fairly big character in BSG. Even the judge was a bit player in BSG. He was the DEMAND PEACE spokesman who got ripped a new one by Roslin after she came back from the dead.
I can't believe Joseph went there, and went there so soon. I'm actually really worried about Amanda right now. I for one am loving the instruction of Willie Adama. I don't know, I think it's kind of fascinating to see the development of Adama.

Or was Zoe-A on some kind of easily-accessible-but-passworded network or mainframe, which would seem kinda sloppy for something so secret.
I think it is the latter--she was in that room in the V-club, which was hidden that only Zoe, Lacy, and Ben knew about and that you need some sort of special access to get into. I also think she only has as much info as Zoe updated her with, so that's why she doesn't know exactly what happened at the end or about what they were doing on Geminon. But I wonder why Lacy wouldn't know more about the plan. Was she only half a convert and therefore not trusted?
Poor Zoe-bot with watching her parents. I spaced out for a few minutes when Clarice was using the holoband. What happened? I think the "confessor" sounds like the Patton Oswald character, though. (Is that even a spoiler?)
"Balance it out for me"--crazy!
