But the one thing that gets me is the sound editing. I know they probably don't have much of a budget, but it was totally evident with this week's episode (at the beginning) that they need to focus a bit more attention there.

Honestly the only worthy couple on the show is Lani(Lara and Ani) and hopefully soon Lami(Lara and Sami).Becasue Lani will break up.Giani(Gina and Ani) so far doesn't do much for me.
Here are some screencaps of this series

And the cast of Through the Wire, can anybody make out who's the female?

I think I preferred the first episode of AMC to One Life To Life...there was something that felt "off" about the opening episode of One Life and it felt more "congealed" on AMC. There was also this strong sense of family legacies in AMC, not so much in OLTL.
Although I think the vibes of both really work- everyone in One Life To Live had this angry, isolated feel to them, which made sense, while AMC felt more like a stagnant town about to renew itself, which also worked. I loved, loved, LOVED the outdoor shots of New Cannan standing in for Pine Valley. I wonder if we'll get anything like that for Llanview.
I think the Celia stuff on AMC needs work, but the actress herself works for me- she's incredibly green but I think she'll improve. Pete has a charm to him, and I'm loving his chemistry with Opal. But the real bright spot for the young crowd on AMC is definitely Miranda/AJ...I cant tell if AJ is either gay, or really in love with Miranda. Miranda is totally her grandmother's granddaughter.
On One Life, Corbin Bleu is definitely the best part about the youth crowd, and Kelley Missal has really stepped up her game. I'm not sure about the actress playing Destiny, but I haven't really cringed that much with her yet. One definite edge that One Life has is this twentysomething quad, which feels really realistic. Over on AMC, having 20-something Pete (who has weirdly stayed the same age while everyone else has been SORASED) trying to court an 18-year old girl doing a gap year and wearing her school uniform while still living in her old high school is just plain weird.
AMC does seem like it's ahead in terms of viewings.

I agree with you on the online AMC. It kicked ass. Loving the new show. David and Cara are hot! Angie and Jessie are wonderful. Zach without Kendall is fun again. Adam and Brooke need a better story but I do love them. I like the newbies. I hope Celia is tied to Dimitry in some way. I loved him.
The outdoor scenes are great/ AMC ROCKS

Crystal Chappell's production company is producing another webseries:
Seems interesting. While CC's company is behind it, she doesn't seem to be having as a big of a role on and off the screen as the other webseries' she's done. She isn't playing the lead. The script was written by others and Hillary B Smith is the producer on this one.
Surprised that Sarah Brown is doing this but I am looking forward to seeing her in this role.

Beacon Hill sounds like a formulaic politics/family drama, now with a fresh, new lesbian flavor. But I'll probably still watch because I love me some Sarah Brown.

Finally caught up on The Bay and my only complaint is there isn't enough of it. What a dream cast.
Matthew Ashford is so deliciously creepy (and yet, still so hot), but I wish I'd get to see a show where he and Mary Beth Evans could play love interests. Seems like he's always her bad guy.
Is anyone watching Michelle Stafford's new thing? I haven't watched it yet, but it's getting excellent buzz on Twitter.

Well the Beacon Hill cast is almost complete. Quite the assortment of actors. Alot who haven't done webseries before. This cast definitely seems to have more of an HBS influence to it. So far all but one role has been cast. Alicia Minshew is the other lead with Sarah Brown. Present and old OLTLer's with Melissa Archer, Jessica Morris, JPL, Ron Raines and Scott Bryce. Will be interesting to see some of these as new characters.

I hope that doesn't mean bad things for the potential development deals they had in the works. At any rate, I can't wait for it to come back.

Back at'cha, Greta. I'm intrigued by Beacon Hill. I haven't been able to really get behind these online soaps. I was loyal to Venice for 2 seasons then just gave up. I love me some CC but I'm a little tired of the lesbian connection she seems obsessed with. Hey, I'm a lesbian myself but yo, enough already!
But it's cool, someone has to represent. I am not sure I can picture Alicia playing gay. I don't doubt she can do it. I just can't see it. Sarah Brown? Oh yeah. I have no doubt about her ability to rock it.
I loved Scott Bryce on ATWT during his early stint there. Read his bio and I'm impressed with him. Smart and talented.
Crystal playing Ron Raines' daughter? Technically he could be her dad as he is only 16 years older than she. But really?
Archer and Morris. I know head shots are supposed to make you look grand but these two? Are their eyes really that blue?
I want to see if the GL alumni still have the mad chemistry and want to see Sarah opposite them.

You watched the worst seasons of Venice because 3 and 4 were vast improvements! Speaking of GL alums on that show, There seems to be a flirtation going on between Logan (Judy Evans) and Katherine (Tina Sloan) ... and as you know they played mom and daughter on GL! They have some chemistry.
I'm intrigued by Beacon Hill too. I do love Sarah Brown and Scott Bryce - so I am there!

I've been way intrigued about Beacon Hill ever since it was announced Sarah Brown would be taking part. It definitely seems interesting. According to Crystal Chappell's Twitter, the first promo is supposed to roll out sometime next week.
I hadn't seen any of her other little projects, so I started watching Venice to get a feel of what Beacon Hill might be like. I'm currently in the middle of Season 2...it's not terrible. Some of the dialogue is distractingly unnatural, but the cast all have a nice, easy chemistry imo.

I was reading the recaps of Venice on afterellen and while recaps can be a bit snarky nothing that went on even interested me in the least.
In the words of the Beach Boys, maybe I wasn't made for these times. I'm not even sure I will be able to give this the attention it hopefully deserves b/c I was all gung ho about AMC's return but I wound up just not being interested after the afterglow of seeing the actors again. I mostly wanted to see Eden Riegel but since she was going to be appearing sporadically I just sort of bailed.
I'm counting on BH to rekindle my soap love. Big crush on Ricky Paull and I'm looking forward to seeing him play a not so nice guy. I do hope his sense of humor comes through.

The Bay has three episodes of season 3 up now. They've really raised the bar this season - the camera work is much better, as is the sound production and the general overall feel. They also throw in a more amped up, edgier feel, and the action is set 3 years after the season 2 finale. I'm really enjoying it.
