From zap2it.com:

Mark, Demetri, Gough and MI-6 Agent Fiona Banks (Alex Kingston) look into a Blue Hand club's possible connection to recent suicides; Aaron gets a surprise visit from a former army pal of his late daughter.

I loved him!! But that, that was the moment that this show needed to be brought out of the slump that it is in. The future can be changed!

Also...it was a little bit reminsence of Buffy's "The Gift." Apparently a "gift" in TV land means throwing yourself off a high ledge.

I've been on the fence about this show but after that ep, I'm on board. Good job show, I didn't think you'd go there and you did.

I was just starting to lose faith, but this episode has proved me wrong. Wow.

The ending montage was really well-done. Seems that Nicole might be falling for the doctor?

I don't get it. He didn't even know her, but he was willing to off himself for her? He was right about one thing, he changed the game.
Aaron's story, I don't what's going on there.

OMG that was crazy! But doesn't that just prove that the flash forwards weren't really flash forwards in the first place?

Nooo Jett Jackson! Crap. I liked him.

Blue Hand is bizarre. You're going to die within six months so your reaction is to torture yourself? WTF?

No, the reaction is for them to do whatever kinky, dangerous thing that they wanted to do since they felt that they were going to die anyway so why not go nuts?

Nooo! But also, awesome! Because that might change everything.

Really liked this episode. I'm fully back on board. The Ghosts are really interesting, I still love Aaron, and Demetri still rocks.

Oh wow. This is my first time watching the show live after catching up online the last two weeks. Totally hooked. Shame about the death - that guy was a cutie! But I wonder what this'll do for the flashfowards. It'll be such a waste of Celia still dies.

Al! NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had a feeling he was going there, I knew by the way he was smiling eating his dirty rice. Damn. I really liked Al.

I don't get it. He didn't even know her, but he was willing to off himself for her?

He didn't do it for her. The way I understood it he couldn't bear the thought of accidentally killing a single mother and leaving her children orphans. He didn't want that to be his future. I think the fact that it was an experiment at changing their flashforwards was an added incentive. It was a selfless thing to do, taking the proverbial and literal leap for those who couldn't. He did it to give others like Demitri hope.

Heroic.

It'll be such a waste of Celia still dies.

It's entirely possible she still will, just by someone else's hand, but Al's flashforward has definitely changed even if hers doesn't.

And how creepy cool was Leoben? Great to see him again. I'm also very anxious to see next week now to see what that last scene with Aaron and Tracey was about. Whaaaa?!?! This show does rock the cliffhanger.

Well, I think it was also that he was willing to off himself not to be a killer in general.

Excellent episode. Glad to see sweeps will be interesting.

I thought they might go there when they showed him smiling and eating dinner, I was starting to tear up a bit during that scene.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! Wow, those last few moments were wrenching. At one point in the episode I wondered if they were setting him up as Demetri's killer (like maybe a raid gone wrong or something), but this was so much more intense.

Can you imagine being one of the people with a bad/nonexistent flash forward? On the one hand you would feel hopeful knowing the future could be changed, but you would also know the tragic price.

Edit: And I was so stunned by the ending that I totally forgot to mention my other favorite moment - the guys ragging on each others' clothes!

No! Agent Gough was the hottest guy on the show. Yes, that's shallow of me but whatever. What a major bummer. I also think that he was a much more interesting character than Shakespeare aka Joseph Fiennes.

Gabrielle Union is beautiful. I liked Zoey's reaction to Demetri's confession.

I loved it. When Gough starting walking through the office all calm, really when he was eating his dirty rice and smiling I started saying "no, no, no" I really liked him and his chemistry with Demetri. I don't understand from the flash forward why he felt responsible for Celia's death.

A lot of Demetri, which I just loved. What if now that Demetri knows the flash forwards are not self fulfilling prophecies Zoe's vision is accurate and can happen? Too much to think about.

The daughter at the end though, just completely freaked me out, what does that mean? Although I didn't trust Mike at all, maybe it's the actor's acting style.

Can CKR ever just play a normal, nice guy? I knew he was Raynaud as soon as they all started chanting his name. He was in full Leoben mode.

I'm so glad the flash forwards can be changed. Great episode.

NooooooooOOOOOOOoooooooo!

Can't believe they went there. Well, yeah, they did in the book too, but still. For all the complaints that they waste so much time on Mark/Olivia, the show really does know how to create some sympathetic characters and deliver a punch to the gut. Great ending montage.

(Was Annabelle the name of the girl Dom Monaghan was fucking on the train?)

Noooooo!! I really liked him, but I had a feeling they were going there when he was walking out very calm. Now he has essentially changed his hand in Celia's death but she may die anyway.

Happy the Demetri finally told Zoey about his vision, it's about time because he has been a ghost in the relationship. Talking about ghosts, I liked the premise of the blue hands, you're gonna die anyway so why not take control.

As for the daughter, is she an illusion?

Good job Gough for finally showing the rest of these idiots that the future hasn't happened yet, it CAN be changed! Although I wish he could have done it differently, I really liked him. (Doesn't matter though, in my mind he got up in 1973 and joined the Manchester police force. What? It worked for Sam Tyler, apparently.) Now the only colleague Demetri has to hang out with is Mark. Poor Demetri.

On a more positive note: CALLUM KEITH RENNIE!!!! ABC is giving work to all the "Due South" cast this year. I was really glad to see him, this is such a Leoben show ("All of this has happened before, all of this will happen again"). Hope he becomes a regular guest star.

Wonder who Annabelle is and why the hobbit seems so upset about her bracelet.

And Aaron: don't trust that army buddy of your daughter's! You said the remains of your daughter weighed considerably less than she did, so either she was burned to a crisp of blown to pieces, and in his flashback (weird to use that word about his show, I think it's the first one we get) she was dead but whole? He's lying! He probably ran away and did not come back to check if she was really dead.

But doesn't that just prove that the flash forwards weren't really flash forwards in the first place?

Or at least that they present a possible future but not the only one. I'm still curious as to whether Demitri's fiancee actually saw him on the beach, or just assumed it was him. Thus far, we haven't seen any evidence of FF's actually contradicting each other. They all seem to present a consistent future - even if it's not what really will happen. If a blatant conflict is revealed, that will change the game yet again.

I figured they'd get around to this for the story's sake, I was just really hoping they'd use a redshirt to accomplish it.

And I wantwantwant Demitri's/Zoe's loft. Gorgeous.

If Olivia's flash forward is any indication, then the characters remember the feelings they had in their ff, he could have just felt the massive guilt.

With the daughter, it'll be interesting to see her lower half. Less than 30 lbs were returned home by the military, eh? Sounds like they found a leg!

Ah! I totally thought that too! So wrong of me in that dramatic moment, but this show has been really heavy on the whole "you can't change the future" thing. I also half expected him to get up and dust himself off.

This was part of an ABC promo print ad that I saw: Annabelle is Simon's sister.

I was wondering about something: Al says if he dies then the future can be changed. He jumps. The very next scene Aaron's dead daughter appears. Could the two events be connected in some kind of butterfly effect? Could Al's death have changed the future to the point where Tracey is now alive?

Hmmm, well, the immediate association is Annabel Lee, so I assume she's a tragic dead woman in the Hobbit's past. But maybe not.
