I can totally understand that Erica is baffled at Jack's priesthood but I don't get why he's so surprised that Erica works for the FBI. If I was him, I would have immediately suspected that she's a police officer or a detective as soon as she looked at the pictures and said the weird looking guy in it is a terrorist.

It looks as if Valerie is showing Ryan a pregnancy test in this picture. Ryan must obviously have unprotected sex with her otherwise this wouldn't even come up. Oy. He better hope that this is only a false alarm. If it isn't, I'll keep my fingers crossed that Valerie will never want to see him again when she finds out the truth. Any other reaction would be unrealistic to the extreme and would make me doubt her "humanity".

Personally I think the second episode it's too soon to drop the "Priest" bomb but then again, she was bound to find out sooner or later.

I'm glad they did it before she developed any "interest" in him. I really like the way we seem to be watching her emotional breakdown and need to protect at the same time. It could be nice and messy. All of these characters are in the middle of great conflicts - well except for Anna -- she's only causing the great conflict.

Hmm and that look on his face is not good. I think that's because he knows that they are not biologically compatible as far as reproduction goes. In the original series it's a definite point that Robin had to be altered to produce V-baby. That means she has to be cheating on him. That's a good twist I think. It eliminates his growing sense of guilt and will allow Ryan to move on fully to the resistance without worrying about Valerie's safety.

Robin wasn't altered. In the original Diana specifically says that there was something different about her DNA that made her able to produce Vbaby.

Sorry I remembered that wrong, Robin was "special" but Brian had to be genetically altered in order to be compatible as far as reproduction. Which still brings up the theory that Ryan's GF's baby can't be his. If the V's have been around for as long as they have, there has to be reason why their aren't swarms of hybrid children. Other than Ryan forgetting to wrap it up.

Finally some spoilers on the new episodes. Hobbs sounds a lot like Ham.

They're pretty vague on Eric's ex. They didn't even give him a name.

Especially, since he'll be in 7 out of the 8 remaining eps. If there's a new season and he lives, I'd expect him to be a full/contractual series regular. And, bonus points if they give him a first or middle name of "Thomas" and don't make a big deal of it.

As far as actors who've worked in Vancouver that would be good for the role, Peter Wingfield, Ben Browder, and Max Martini (late of The Unit, but also had a stint on DaVinci's Inquest) pop out.

I bet it'll be "Jack." Hilarity ensues ("Uh, Jack, this is Jack...). Anyway, he's sounds a bit cliche (alcoholic? really?), though it's impossible to properly judge a character based on a quick summary written by some casting assistant who's not even officially affiliated with the show. JR Bourne seems like he'd be a good fit.

"Roger" sounds like a more definite description of Erica's ex. Previous description:

Late 30s - Mid 40s. A recovering alcoholic. He is tall ... Perhaps a carpenter.

New description:

Late 30s - Mid 40s... Tall. Blue collar. Works with his hands. Recovering alcoholic

Knox and Lane seem like revisions of Hobbs and Pearlman as well.

I'm really shocked and disappointed at the recovering alcoholic thing. Didn't they learn their lesson from Flashfoward? I thought people at the network were thinking seriously about how to fix both of these show, but apparently not. Why do both of ABC's high concept shows need to revolve around FBI agents and incorporate alcoholism/marriage issues? Groan.

When Erica mentioned her husband to her partner in the Pilot him being alcoholic was not my thinking at all. My impression at the time was that the guy was was totally over their relationship, which they had ended because they'd grown apart and he became indifferent (this to Erica's chagrin), and he only occasionally stayed in touch because of their kid.

Same here, as a matter of fact I thought Dale Maddox was supposed to represent the kind of man Erica could rely on that her husband was not. Her husband wasn't bad news he was only absent.

"Unsourced" may not have been the best choice of words on my part, but the article was a bit too informal in quoting an apparent source. More detail about how the quote was acquired (was it from a phone interview, an email, the actor's website?) and when it was acquired would help make the article appear to have more veracity. And, either an audio or video interview would have been even better.
