It's kind of like the Avengers & the Fantastic Four put together...only the Hulk is a little more verbose than usual...Dr. Strange is completely off his rocker...and Dr. Doom throws a tantrum whenever he can't get his way. Oh yeah, and they all look like they're about 12 years old (and act like they're 6). It's incredibly cute & funny.

Yeah I saw the first episode of this show and while cute it depresses me that such a good idea for a show is being wasted with on something with such a childish tone. I really hate that a show like this can't be made for teens/adults.

Give them ring fingers, stretch them out to normal size and lose the Snidley Whiplash schemes and this could be pretty fun. Like a more silly Brave and The Bold.

Ah hell. I'll watch it anyway. Where else can you see Luke Cage and Iron Fist animated?

They actually take the time and money to attractively animate/model the characters and the scenery and then they write it for 4yos. Such a waste.

They don't have to get super-adult and dark with the themes and characterizations, but they can make it more palatable to teens and adults w/o frightening/boring the toddler set.

Brave and The Bold is a perfect example of a cartoon that's pleasing to all age groups while still being respectful of the canon.

I guess I'm in the minority, but I like this show! I've watched all the episodes now. The first one I saw was "O Captain, My Captain" where Wolverine becomes Captain Canada and joins Captain America's All Captains Squad (I heart tiny Captain Lichtenstein). I can see why some people are complaining though. The first episode was way thumbs down. Too many fart jokes. But I think it got better.

I've made a list of some of my favorite quotes.

Iron Man: Sweetie, how about if Uncle Iron Man makes you a pretty new tiara, like the one Luke Cage wears?
Luke Cage: It’s a headband!
Iron Man: It’s a tiara; we’ve all discussed it.

Thor: MORE COWBELL! Thus spoke Thor.

Silver Surfer: So that is what happens to a toad when it is struck by lightning… What a let down.

Captain America: That’s just the phone, Hulk. If it’s President Roosevelt, tell him I’m not here.

Thor: As she made her dinner! Vile villain, a waste of good Asgardian meatballs! Frozen food never tastes fresh when thawed. Hast thou never watched the cooking man shows on the jumping picture box?

Captain American: [Falls from the sky, rescued by long-haired Thor] Thanks for the save, lady. Oh, you liberated women of today. Equal pay for equal work, I say!

Iron Man: There's no crying in super villain-land!

Thor: [to Loki, while putting him in a headlock] I be rubber, and thou art glue. Whatever thou speakest bounces off me and clings to you.... MOST WEAK! Disappearing is cheating!

Thor: O truly there is no greater glory than 2-for-1 coupon day!
Reptil: Mira! I mean look! ... Shouldn't we go after them?
Thor: ...Yea, but the prospect of store-wide savings weighs heavily on my soul.

Captain American: Hero up, Thor! And get a haircut, you look like a hippie.

Hulk: HULK CRASH!
Iron Man: That's new.

Iceman: You probably just want me to make popsicles like the last time it was hot outside.
Iron Man: Hey, those were fudgesicles. And that was a special request by the mayor!
Iceman: I don’t care; I’m not coming out of my Icy Cave of Being Aloneness.

Perhaps I just have an infantile sense of humor. Hee.

I'm warming up to the show, but to me, the overall feel seems to be if the Marvel people thought that Brave & The Bold wasn't enough like Superfriends. While to me, it seems like Brave & The Bold pulls off the balance of seriousness and camp, while Super Hero Squad has Camp being the heavier side of the scale. It still has its share of awesome, though, like the Captain Squad (Captain Lichtenstein! Tiny but economically prosperous!), The Mayor being voiced by Stan Lee, and of course Fin Fang Foom, who still looks awesome in chibified form.

It seems to evoke a feeling that the show could've fit right at home during the 80's. Dr. Doom himself seems to have gotten inspiration from the likes of Cobra Commander, Skeletor and Megatron, with a hint of Gargamel. I do like how MODOK is one of the main minions, but I just do NOT like to voice for him. His design, however, just proves that Jack Kirby's style can be translated flawlessly into the show's character designs.

Also, that theme song has grown on me, mostly in the dark depths of my mind. It's a heck of an earworm.

The Spectacular Spider-Man is the reason why Spidey and none of his villains have appeared so far (although I have heard that they'll show up in Season 2).

But that show is a bit tough for the younger kids to follow.

My four year old and his friends absolutely love this show. I think it's geared towards the 3-6 year old crowd and it really is perfect for them. You can also buy all the characters complete with little sets and my son even has a Superhero Squad Chutes and Ladders game. I think the show is cute myself.

Marvel people thought that Brave & The Bold wasn't enough like Superfriends

I hadn't thought of that. I assumed it was Marvel trying to replicate the success of DC's Tiny Titans in TV form. Kind of a gateway drug for the youngsters to their products and something grown up fans can sometimes get a chuckle out of.

But that show is a bit tough for the younger kids to follow.

Ha! I'm an adult and I'm always irritated by how BtBatB has the teaser and a episode plot. I'm like "But what happened with the other thing!?"

I actually like this show too. I have a couple of issues with it though. Mainly that I hate their version of Jean Grey and the voice of Storm. They aren't featured that much to be really annoyed though. Glad to see Wolverine is still pretty much a douche even in a show aimed at younger kids. I do wish they would feature some of the other X-Men more. Wolverine, Jean Grey, Cyclops and Storm have been done to death.

I get why little kids would like it. And they don't really have to know the characters' comic book roots to enjoy it. It's a fun little show about superheroes. Some they may recognize like Iron Man, Hulk and the X-Men. I doubt alot of younger kids know who characters like Hawkman or Ms. Marvel are though. I love Ms Marvel by the way. I keep hoping she'll end up in one of these Marvel movies some day.

Easily My favorite quotes by far. From when Reptil's teaching Hulk and Ms. Marvel how to make quesadilla.

Reptil: My favorite cheese, Quesada Joe.

Hulk: (laughs) Cheese named Joe is Hulk's friend.

Reptil: Quesada Joe, it's Super Cheesy!

Speaking of Reptil, I can't believe I didn't even notice or suspect a fractal after the Brynnie Braton episode.

"The Ice Melt Cometh" was a great episode. Flatman, who is basically Ben Stein in cartoon form, and Hulk were hilarious. "Hulk hate you. Hulk hate you, water!!!"

This show wins forever for casting Adam West as Nighthawk.

It's Marvel's version of Batman: The Brave and The Bold, and I'm loving it. It's so ridiculous.

Having found the show sort of recently, I have to add my love for the whole kit 'n' kaboodle! It's totally for kids, but like with classic Looney Tunes, somethings are there for comics fans/parents/ pun-lovers.

Add me to the Adam West-as-Nighthawk lovefest! I really liked Kevin Sorbo as KaZar as well!

This is the rare show that is animated, aimed for younger viewers, but makes the husband laugh once in a while. The 'stop, back that up just to be sure' kind of laugh. (I tend to watch first and save the ones I think he'd like on the dvr.)

I haven't seen the Ororo/Storm episodes, so I'm looking forward to them. Hopefully, we get the Wasp/Jan Van Dyne in one or two episodes.

Sadly, I'm watching eps out of order, sort of , from The Hub, and I'm catching up on missed episodes from the 6 part Dark Surfer arc! I will look and see if the All Captain Squad is coming up this week too, as I'm a sucker for stuff like Bitchy Smurf sketched out!
