No, that was never my intention, I don't have definite proof of anything. I just drew a conclusion that Kurt (and Blaine) seem to be well liked by gay men because they topped a poll on AfterElton whilst acknowledging that the poll is limited in the number of voters. If you find that to be a ridiculous conclusion to draw from such a site, then I agree to disagree with you, I don't know what sorts of data you want to disprove my conclusion that Kurt and Blaine are well liked by gay men.
Except you said the results "silences the criticism" like it was definite proof.
I did not say that. The question was, WHY would they look bad for stopping Kurt. I still don't see it.
So you should only help someone if it's your responsibility?
Great, I agree to disagree with you then, because I would have big problems if they dismissed what the bullies did to Karofsky that drove him to attempt suicide. I would have big problems if Karofsky would be cut from his family and teachers, and I would want a third party to tell him that it isn't his fault and that he shouldn't be feeling guilty over it. I'm no fan of Karofsky, but I want him to be happy and healthy, so I would be concerned for him if he ever got a suicide story about his ex-bully the way Kurt got one about Karofsky.
On a hypothetical level, no I wouldn't have a problem with it.
Disagree. As discussed by others, he was crying and feeling guilty over it. He didn't want to answer the calls.
And Kurt seemed pretty capable of handing it on his own.
I think it was the worst competition ever. The songs weren't great, and the distribution of solos was really unfair. That said, I still think Kurt has it better than the other characters. He gets treated like dirt when it comes to singing, but so far this season, in pretty much every episode he's had something to do. I think the only other character as lucky as him is probably Rachel.
Regionals was possibly the most frustrating competition I have ever watched on the show (I may have thrown things upon seeing the song list). So much of the plot in that episode was firmly centred on Kurt (both Karofsky and Sebastian!), in what world does it not make sense to have him sing?
