Is that Jenna or Naya singing? Whoever it is it's beautiful.

Sounds like Naya to me. And I'm sitting here with tears streaming. Utterly gorgeous.

Naya sounds lovely, but...meh. I really hope that the storyline to Rumors is good and cracky, cause other wise I'm just going to be cranky as hell next week. I just don't get the love for this band. It's bad enough that the ep is already standing between me and a St.Berry duet.

Naya's on Songbird. She sounds great.

ETA: Beat me to it. Anyway, can't wait for the context of the performance. The object of affection is fairly obvious, but I wonder if it'll be a choir room thing, a fantasy sequence down the halls/auditorium, etc.

They got some of the lyrics wrong on "I Don't Want to Know." I guess they're cranking the songs out so fast they don't even have time to Google the words.

On "I Don't Want to Know" Cory sounds good but Dianna is a little washed out, I can barely hear her.

And we are back to autotuned pop, haha.

I don't want to know: You can barely hear Dianna. Eh
Go your own way: typical lea pop piece, it is lacking something.
Songbird: Good not great. The best so far though.
Never going back again: I don't really like the song, and it sounds too high for him at parts.

Glancing at the current iTunes singles placement, it's great to see the excellent Pretty mashup beating Born This Way, and also great to see a showtune (As If We) up to #21.

Fleetwood Mac is never been much for me..Landslide the best song has already been done.

Go you own way the music is more the problem for me, the vocals are ok.

I don't know - again ok, when Cory is the stonger singer you are lucky to have it be ok.

Never going back - agreed the high scream is off.

Songbird - it fine maybe I just like the song more than the others overall.

I am glad the mash up is beating BTW too. It was done so much better.

Chris to get a show tune that high is something.

I really liked Songbird. Never Going Back is pretty good too. I Don't Want To Know is not bad. As Jane007 pointed out Go Your Own way is missing something.

Wow, they actually gave "Songbird" to Naya. That totally made sense for her character, but I was sure Lea was going to get it.

Songbird has me in floods of tears right now. Damn Naya.

As someone who doesn't like Fleetwood Mac I'm really enjoying the songs this week.

Is 'Don't Stop' an acutal group number? Ye gods.

Don't Stop sounds like Finn/Rachel/Quinn/Sam.

Cheno sounds great, Matt too, not too sure about the song but Dreams is the best song this episode.

Is Rachel only on the shrieking portions?

Dreams.

Matt/Cheno duet! My heart weeps, I love their voices together so much. Unfortunately this song doesn't wash away the awful memories of the Matt/Gwyneth duets.

If it's a Lea/Groff duet though? That would be epic.

Don't get my hopes up!! Is there a chance though that Lea and Groff will do the song? That would be the most perfect Glee song ever. Glee just can't get better than a Lea/Groff duet IMO.

I would think so. Rumor said this is a Rachel/Jesse duet, and who else is he going to sing with? Jesse is also not big enough of a character to sing such a song solo.

I think "Belle Notte" will be sung by either Will or Blaine. They're the only two guys cheesy enough to pull it off.

Given that Brittany has already referenced that scene from Lady and the Tramp in Duets, I'd say there's a very high likelihood it's going to be someone (Artie, probably) singing it to her.

The only one I like is Go Your Own Way, and not as much as I would hope. Back to the Glee see-saw (sucktastic group of songs last week, great this week, suck next week).

Oh, and Somewhere Only We Know is actually T10 combining popularity bars since there is the single version & the album version. Barbra Streisand also vaulted up to 64.

And they certainly gave enough screentime to Kurt's song for showcasing opportunities - more than twice what any other singing number yesterday got. The show sure does like to give Colfer potential Emmy episodes.

Isuzu and ArianaX, you're right, I completely forgot about Brittany and the meatball. I would be suspect as well if the song didn't have anything to do with that callback. In fact, since everyone is marveling at the fact that Glee got the rights to the song in the first place, that inserting that first Lady and the Tramp joke into the show broke the ice with Disney, so to speak?

Well, more likely that than "Oh, Bambi, I cried so hard when those hunters shot your mother. BLEARGH."

Does anyone have a working DL link for Songbird? The one posted on the last page was removed. (Oddly, only that one song. The other three still work.)

Kind of sounds like Mark gets a verse too.

I know! Its at #3 on the itunes US charts and #4 on Itunes Canada charts.

Guys, please knock it off with links to Tumblr posts with the songs. It falls into that gray area of copyright infringement, and that can get us in trouble. So don't do it.

I'll take minimal homemade YouTubes (because those do have more oversight than blogs on Tumblr/WordPress/etc.)... but even then, let's keep it to a minimum.

I'm OK with links to song samples from iTunes / Amazon / etc. because the powers that be actually OK'ed those.

I'll be the first to admit that I'm not typically the big badass bitch Mod, but this can actually get us in trouble. So don't do it.

Thanks.

Which sums up most of Lea's approach to straight pop songs....

And I say that from a place of caring..

I'm not a big Fleetwood Mac fan (though I'm familiar with them all, since my parents are) so this week's music isn't thrilling for me. It's sort of hard to judge the quality when you don't care for the source material. Still, "Born This Way" and plenty of other Glee covers are bad songs in themselves, but I've loved the performances, so I'll save my judgment.
