During the Janice/Spencer argument I thought his repetition of "my wife" was kind of creepy. Not once did he call her Heidi, and it sounded, I don't know, kind of possessive? It's like he's more interested in the title and being able to lay claim on Heidi than the person behind the title.
Are Frangela a couple? I felt like that's what everyone was insinuating when she left.

She was really unhappy without Angela. She felt lost without her best bud.I tuned in shortly after Frances left. Can someone please explain the reasons for her departure? Thanks.
On another note, can they make a rule that the men must keep their shirts on at all times? My eyes, they burn!

The immunity competitions are not much better. Did they put alligators in that pond?
I think the insects, rats, etc. have to be provided by professional wranglers.
I don't know why the other half of Frangela is gone. Apparently she was too lonely without her partner. Too bad; I liked her/them. Daniel Baldwin is a good trade, though.

I support your new rule but would like to add a caveat that LDP isn't allowed to wear his!

My ears are still hurting from her singing. As much as I don't like her, I do hope she gets better.
I enjoyed Daniel tonight. I'm not familiar with him before this show, but enjoyed how he called people out, even if it wasn't always to their faces.
The show is supposed to only be 23 days right? Why keep adding people, even though people are dropping like flies? Also, if it is only 23 days, why is the camp leader for an entire week. That means there will only be three, maybe four leaders. It just doesn't all add up.
I wish they would copy Big Brother and have the cameras streaming live online.

I certainly hope they are done adding people, since it’s not fair at all to the folks who have been enduring hardships for a week already.

I have to say I miss Frangela. Those two were hilarious together. I was bummed when Angela left but excited that we would still get half the jokes with Frances. Then she left. Another bummer.
I agree. I don't watch the Hills but I have seen an episode here and there when I was extremely bored and occasionally read up on them and such. They are not as religious as they depict in this show. It's kind of surreal and weird to be honest. Creepy even to see them acting the way they are with Jesus and Praise the Lord in every sentence.LOVED it when he called out Spencer and Heidi on their "convenient Christianity".
Stephen has been pretty quiet since Daniel came on the show...Also, is it me or is Stephen scared shitless of Daniel?
I think it's safe to say that Janice has had one too many chances to step it up and failed miserably every time. She needs to go home.

Agreed. I tuned in late and immediately tuned out when I saw the Bible Camp references.....Aaaaaaaand I officially give UP on this mess. Speidi in, Speidi out, both Frangelas gone, and more stunts involving -- surprise, surprise -- creepy-crawly things. Not going to waste one more minute on this stupid show.
When they introduced him, Stephen looked pissed off and seriously not happy. I would LOVE the backstory in their relationship. Also, is it me or is Stephen scared shitless of Daniel?
That was my thought last week. Plus, they get to spend time in a nice hotel.Does anyone else realize that Speidi leave before an elimination and come back after? I wonder if this was their "plan". So the viewers can't vote them off. It is getting a bit ridiculous.
Just EW. Watching these people trivialize my religion makes me want to hurl.I agree. Frangela needs their own show. Like MST:3K for reality TV. Wouldn't that be awesome?

Frances leaves with little fanfare yet Spencer and Heidi get more air time by being off the show than on? Holly coming on a week (or more ... I can't keep track of the timeline they are showing us) after the other contestants have already endured time in the jungle. A show supposedly based on an elimination process which continually adds new contestants and lets others come and go as they please. No discernable rules whatsoever - share food for 3 days and then all of a sudden "no! now your hand is slapped and we're with-holding your prize," Daniel having a reasonably legitimate claim to leadership by virtue of being the last person out of the challenge yet it all comes down to an impromptu vote because he didn't finish the tongue, the decision being made to allow Speidi back on by taking votes in the confessionals instead of showing us the actual vote (which seemed to imply that the majority was leaning towards "no way in hell"). Overzealous promotion of religion and upcoming product endorsements/projects (actually, it's mostly Speidi who are guilty on both counts). Celebrities who give up on challenges before even starting or trying (Janice, I'm looking at you). And when you do finally get to something watchable like a "live" challenge, we only see the intro and the rest is cut off. (I realize it's meant to be dramatic and get us to tune in the next day, but I'm betting it's really so that they can edit it - the camera shots on the "live" portion are pretty bad and the celebrities talk over each other to say hello to their loved ones).
I mean, come ON, NBC. I will watch a lot of crap and put up with a lot of shenanigans from "reality tv." But this? When will you learn that the one thing that reality tv audiences detest most is being overtly manipulated? When it is this obvious, I call foul and I'm out. You've lost at least one viewer today.
When Daniel Baldwin is the main voice of reason on your show, you know it's time to pull the plug.
For the love of whatever Heidi and Spencer are praying to, please don't expect to extend this travesty of a show and think we'll keep watching past the originally-slotted 24 days.
I am so disgusted. Mostly with myself for watching.

I agree. That was ridiculous, he ate part of it and he was the last one standing, he should have been leader. Since when does the group have a vote who is leader? I think they need to replace the two hosts with people who can think on their feet.Daniel having a reasonably legitimate claim to leadership by virtue of being the last person out of the challenge yet it all comes down to an impromptu vote because he didn't finish the tongue,

Immunity is individual, and I'd bet anything that Janice is going nowhere. The woman is a batshit crazy trainwreck, who'd I'd want to strangle within a few hours, but she makes damn good TV, and hell, I'd vote my ass off for her (If, you know, I cared enough to actually vote) just for telling Heidi she sounded liked a drowned cat. "what, I was just giving her constructive criticism....it was the truth....yeah, that was kind of mean" Bwah!If the women don't win immunity this week, the public will send Janice home. Her selfish antics and boorish behavior will earn her a quick eviction.
Quite frankly, the better part of me wants to tune this out, and then tune in for the last show, which in my lovely world, would involve Salley, Lou Diamond and Sanjaya hanging out, enjoying each other and the peace and quiet. I'm sure it will really end up being a Baldwin and Janice, but a girl can dream.
Patti is toast this week, unless they can find a way to save her, because I just can't warm up to her sob story, which I think is about 50% bullshit, and I doubt the portion of America that actually votes really gives a crap. I HOPE that the newest Hills famewhore is gone, but with the MTV tie-in, I'm not holding my breath.
I found that as soon as I realized exactly this - trainwreck, no rules, completely manipulated for better drama - I just sat back and enjoyed the nonsense. It's all for charity! There's no tragic outcome in this case, unlike Big Brother, Survivor, etc (well, tragic when the person I think is a jackhole walks away with money, and the person I love finishes 3rd). So what if it's manipulated, because it never really mattered to begin with. Plus, Sanjaya is inexplicably awesome, Lou Diamond was in fucking La Bamba, and can therefore do whatever he wants IMO, and he is currently doing it awesomely, and I'm eagerly awaiting Salley getting ON Janice's ass. Again. With Baldwin backup.I'm sort of enjoying this show, even though it is a fucking trainwreck with no discernable rules.

Seriously. If they can replace the contestants on a whim and after the game has started, surely they can replace the hosts! How awesome would it be if they brought Frangela back to host the rest of the show? I'd tune in for THEIR commentary and re-caps of what we just saw.

I record the show, and fast forward through the eating challenges. Seeing people gag on bugs, bull testicles, etc, is not fun. The flash flood challenge was good. Sanjaya rocks, he really is a little jungle boy, isn't he?
On the whole, it reminds me of Fear Factor, which is s show my kids watched, and I hated.
The religion stuff bored me. Heidi and Spence thinking that GOD wanted them to be there, and the devil wanted them to leave? Well, I guess we can see who won that battle, huh? Oh, I'm sure at the end it was God who wanted them to leave. Such a fickle guy, that God. He just can't decide what he wants Heidi and Spence to do.

I'm sad to see Angela go, but I think she was just over this show and I'm happy for her for leaving.
I lol'd at Daniel Baldwin for implying that the reason Sanjaya was loyal to Janice because he was a fan of the "modeling show" she was on, oh so wrong. Sanjaya is really sweet I hope he doesn't let people like Janice exercise to much control over him. Anyways LDP and Sanjaya continue to be awesome.

I like that idea. I really loved their confessionals together. That's why I was really sad to see Angela get voted off.
I'm wondering how quickly Janice's opinion of LDP being a good leader will change with him assigning her washing the dishes. While she accepted that task, I'm sure she'll find a way to palm it off on someone else. (Probably Sanjaya)
I have to agree with those who have stated they are tired of the eating gross things competitions.

Daniel Baldwin needs to on a proper Survivor type show because he is really good at this stuff. He must be tired of making direct to video movies.

But I went to her Twitter page one day and she does talk alot about the Bible and Jesus and etc. So on her part it might not be a ruse. On the other hand Spencer just might be doing it cuz Heidi is doing it. And also i'm sure MTV doesn't really want them to spend 24/7 talking about the bible so that stuff is prolly edited out.
But otherwise this show is kind of lame. The hosts are annoying.
And what I don't understand is why they didn't just introduce us to Heidi's sister on this show and then have her do the immunity challenge. Unless she can't get eliminated this round. Stupid show.. really stupid.
Oh and Janice, she's really annoying. I've seen her on other stuff, but this one takes the cake. She doesn't do anything. Doesn't participate in anything really.

I was surprised that Daniel said it so nicely. Personally, I don't believe their faith is heart-felt but rather they use the trappings of "religion" to try and intimidate and manipulate people. Spencer threatening people every few minutes is BS. Heidi isn't much better. I'm glad the 2 of them are gone but it wouldn't surprise me if the producers bring them back after Heidi feels better. The show is SO MUCH BETTER without them! (It's not like they've even done anything on this show. They leave or sit out all of the challenges.) After they left tonight, the focus on the show was about everyone instead of the Assholery of Spencer's I'm-playing-God-and-you-revolve-around-me act.LOVED it when he called out Spencer and Heidi on their "convenient Christianity".
I was sad to see Frances go. I agree with her in that after Angela left, half of the fun I was expecting from this jungle crap was gone. Frances looked like all the joy was sucked out of her and she was lost without Angela. I don't care if she and Angela are sexual partners or just really good girlfriends. I can understand that Frances just didn't want to be there without her. After looking around camp, there isn't anyone I'd like to stay for either. Too bad though she didn't remember that this is for charity.
Janice can just go home. I don't know if she's really sick or just playing it up to get out of working. Janice either quits immediately, throwing up her hands and giving up, or she's just so useless. What did she think this show was going to be like? Did she think that everyone would work for HER to win?
I'm now tired of Patti. I know what it's like to be worried about just keeping the things we have, but it's because of the economy. NOT because my hubby was trying to sell a political position. I just don't have any sympathy for her. Did she say that she's the only one bringing in the money now? So that's why she's there. They're paying her enough just to appear on this crappy show.
Stephen, was a non-entity tonight.
Torrie, saw a few minutes of her but so what.
Frances, sad so she left.
John, we now know he won't eat bull testicles because he's a vegetarian.
Sanjaya, at least he's participating in every part of this show as some sort of redemption arc from the American Idol debacle. He wants to show that he can do something for real even if it hurts him.
Heidi-Spencer, don't come back. Really.
Lou, seems like a nice guy. What did he do tonight? Stand around?
Janice, she was right about Heidi's singing. She should have said it more like "her singing is an acquired taste". Maybe they should have made Heidi's singing one of the challenges. While sealed in a resonating chamber, whoever could withstand Heidi's singing the longest would win.
Patti, yeah we heard your pity story again tonight.
Daniel, we figured out that you have opinions the first 5 minutes you were there and you will eat anything they put in front of you just so you can feel like you're a man. That doesn't mean you're better than anyone else.
