What log did Cuban have shoved up his ass last night? I loved the bike lights, and the guy heard Robert's offer and politely asked if anyone else wanted to make an offer (given they were all frothing at the mouth at first). Then Cuban goes into a tirade about why the guy didn't jump on Robert's offer. Granted, it was a good offer and I'm glad they decided to work together. But that was just bizarre. I couldn't figure out where the hate from Cuban was coming from.
I understood what Mark was saying. I was already familiar with Revolights because they've done a lot of fundraising and internet publicity. Which means he should have had a better handle on what his value is, or should be wise enough to know a good offer when he gets it. And we do know that the publicity is valuable and a lot of deals don't go through. So I don't blame Mark for being a bit skeptical.
That said, his approach was out of line. Daymond seemed to share that skepticism but handled himself much better. The presenter wasn't slick; he's a nerd. And I definitely didn't get a vibe that he was just using the show either. So I see Mark's point but he didn't handle it well. And ultimately Mark was wrong. In addition to the tweets Lord Seth linked, Robert explicitly stated that the deal closed.
(I believe when this season was recording, Cuban was being prosecuted for insider trading. (He was later found Not Guilty after phone records backed up his story and contradicted the guy who accused him of having info.) So if we're genuinely asking why Mark Cuban was in a bitchy mood, that might be a legitimate reason why.)
I actually don't get why Robert was so patient. We've seen very similar situations where he makes an offer, the person gives an equally polite "I'd like to hear from the others", and Robert took offense. For example, remember the guy with the Wall Doctor patches? I don't think he was less polite than RevoLights guy but Robert practically made him beg.
