From zap2it.com:

The members of Oceanic 6 discover how to get back to the island, but not all of them want to return.

Not a minute wasted, I guess. At least we don't have to spend all season waiting for them to get their crap together. But no Aaron?

Who else thinks we haven't seen the last of the mystery dude on the flight?

So what made Hurley and Kate decide to come. Sayid appeared to expect to see Jack as well. Hurley seemed to say something when he saw Ben get on but of course didn't elaborate.

So I'm guessing Aaron is with his grandmother now?

The guy in line behind Jack looked familiar, but it might just be that he was also in Vantage Point with Matthew Fox.

Also lol at Lapidus being the pilot.

"How can you read?"
"My mother taught me."
I love Ben.

So now everyone's in the past, great!

I'm assuming Ben tried to kill Penny, I wonder how that went.

Wouldn't it have been funny if they ended up on a different island.

They made it back to the island! (So early in the season!) Lapidus is the pilot! (Of course he is) Sayid's in custody! (Huh?) Somebody told Hurley to be on the flight! (Charlie's my guess) But here's the only thing I'm thinking about: Did Ben kill Penny?!?

Did anyone else get a chance to verify the validity of the mathematical expressions on the blackboard in the top secret room? From what I saw, they all checked out. Time travel looks legit.

We're not going to Guam, are we?

Awesome, but if Penny's dead, I'll be pissed.

I don't like that he was at a a marina.

Wow. That was an awesome intro and an awesome episode. I'm seriously SHOCKED they got back to the island before even half the season is over.

The plane conspiracy was seriously creepy. Who got them all together? And what did they do to Aaron? Kate was like a zombie all hour.

Dharma wtf.

"How can you read?"
"My mother taught me."
I love Ben.

I LOL'd at that.

I assume there was complications when he tried to kill Penny.

Meh. The plot was kinda expectable, and the off-island stuff has been less interesting than the on-island stuff. The On-island group seem to have been evolving towards some badassry. Really, the end reveal was the best part of the episode.

Wha? No, really. Wha?!!!!

I've never been a Jack fan, but for goodness sake, what the hell is wrong with him? "No, Kate, I won't ask you what happened to my nephew if you don't want me to, as long as you come back with me. Because I don't give a shit about anything other than what I want. Even though I like to point out he's not actually your flesh and blood whenever it suits me and even though he could be who the hell knows where with whomever assuming he's even alive. But still, I promise not to ask you about it because that suits me just fine."

"And no, Locke. I won't read your note even though it might come in ree-eee-eeealy handy given that I'm actually going to do what you wanted me to do by going back to the island and given that I'm also dragging a bunch of folks with me. Nope. No sir. Not even when it somehow gets to me on the plane. Can't be that urgent. I'll just put it right here in my pocket. And then I'll ask Ben, of all people, about what it might say"

Feh.

Nobody promised me a cosmic lesson from this show, but I'm hoping that it has one anyway. And "Who cares what happens to all these other people?" doesn't exactly fit my idea of it. But then again, neither does Locke as Jesus.

Why did Jack act like he didn't know Locke had committed suicide when it was in the obituary, which he did read?

Also, the idea of keeping a dead body in the same space as the meat that is eventually sold for human consumption still creeps the hell out of me.

That take-off scene was fantastic. The music, the indivual shots of each of the O6 and just the IDEA that they all gathered to go back to the island WILLINGLY was just eerily awesome.

Of course Charlotte dies, but how much do you wanna bet Frank survives so he can reunite with his fellow freighties. And I sure hope that guy that gave Jack his condolences is not shaping up to be a new recurring character, because seriously, show. The gender imbalance is getting ridiculous.

All in all, though, for a Sawyer/Juliet-less episode, it was actually pretty riveting.

No question.

I'm so interested to what happened to Kate and Aaron. Something seriously fucked up her. Another Claire vision?

I guess Hurley got a visit from Charlie.

Oh My God, what the hell is going on with Jin?

Lapidus! Yeah!

Jin was definitely the last person I expected to be in the Dharma van.

It sure seems like Ben was going after Penny. Doesn't look like it went too well.

That was like a season two episode. Which means that, barring the first five minutes or so and the last three minutes, it was a letdown. I can suspend disbelief plenty with this show, but I'm going to a) have to see a plane crash (unless they establish that Jack/Hurley/Kate are in the past and the rest in present day) and b) need to see some more interesting storylines with the O6. I was falling asleep through half that episode.

I hope this isn't the end of Desmond. And since Ben clearly went to see Penny...well...this will get interesting. I hope for some explanations on why the rest were on the plane.

This will be one of my favorite Ben quotes I think.

I'm hoping Desmond was the one to put all the hurt on Big Ben as I am thinking Ben's visit was to C-I-L-L Widmore's daughter. He was at a marina, right? But I am thinking that Ben was not supposed to be on that plane. He got a cheapy.

I love that Frank knew Guam was not the final destination. OK, I just love...LOST.

The Oceanic 6 had begun to get a little tiresome for me because it was all intrigue, intrigue, intrigue and no progress and no real sense of purpose, so I'm glad that things finally got to the point. I really did love how quiet and intimate and human this episode was. I thought it was great, totally compelling and touching, and I'm not a Jack fan usually but I really liked hiim in this episode. I like where he is now.

There was a recurring female introduced as well. The women who had Sayid in her custody.

I like Jack when he's less sure that what he's doing is the right thing, so this was a good Jack episode for me!

Though, WTF was Sayid wearing? A purple suede blazer? Looked like Milli and/or Vanilli.

Took a while to get going, but ended up being a very good episode.

Small plothole, or just Ben cracking a joke: He says his mother taught him to read, but she died at childbirth.

Loved Frank this episode, slowly seeing all the people on board, "We're not going to Guam, are we."

WTF end reveal for sure. We don't know what time they're in, or why the hell Jin is working for Dharma.

Overall, good episode definitely.

The mystery dude was played by a recognizable actor, so he'll definitely (presumably) be back.

Yep. Right before Ben leaves Jack he says he has to keep a promise to an old friend. That old friend presumably(admittedly) was widmore, the promise being he was going to kill Penny.

Lapidus! Yaaaaaaaay!

Wow, that was like, total fast forward. I didn't expect to see them go back until the season finale. But no Aaron! No Walt. No Ji Yeon. Why the hell would Sun get on that plane without her daughter? Why would Kate give up Aaron?

I guess Charlie told Hurley where to be? Maybe he asked him to bring a guitar! What the hell?

That episode was made of WTF.
