Being basically invisible during the first few weeks of HK has always ended differently for different contestants. S3 Jen stopped being invisible after the spaghetti incident, S4 Shayna stayed invisible, and Chrsitina ended up winning. Not sure where Paula will end up, since we've pretty much seen nothing of her.

I think Paula is the dark horse of this season. I'm going to say now that she's got a great shot at the Final 2, and a good shot at winning as well. It's also good that she hasn't been shown being obnoxious, so she's kind of likeable too.

Paula has the talent and experience to win HK. She has been involved in the restaurant business since age 10, first with her familiy's restaurants, and now as the chef de cuisine at the Mariott Hotel. She is also talented enough to have received invitations to cook at the James Beard House in NYC. Since the HK winner gets to be executive chef at Ramsay's London West Hollywood Hotel, Paula already has the experience in running a restaurant in an upscale hotel.

Paula wins huge points from me for being a competent chef who is nearly drama-free. She focuses on the task at hand and does her best to execute it to her exec chef's standard. No name-calling, no excuses, no whimpering, no trash-talk.

I would feel cleaner after watching HK if there were more Paulas.

While Paula may not be the most exciting contestant to watch, she does bring a much needed relief from all those drama provoking personalities. If she wins, I'll be happy. And happy to watch HK again next season without the fear of my intelligence being assaulted because some melodramatic drama queen had won last season.

Several months after the finale, but I still want to say that I think Paula was screwed, because it looked like anyone, whot got saddled with Lacey as a helper, would lose this thing.

Ah well, can't begrudge Danny for winning. On the other hand, I'm positive the result would have been different if the teams had a different makeup.

Paula will be in a Star Chef cookoff against two other chefs at the Food and Wine event at Veggie U in Milan, Ohio, on July 18.

Was in Miami for work and ate at 1500° where Paula is the executive chef. The food was very good. I had a medallion steak with a tomato and squash succotash that was scrumptious.

Paula came out and spoke with the folks at the table next to me. She seemed very nice.
