Ratings for the week of June 11-15, 2012, courtesy of Soap Opera Network. It was a good week for the CBS shows, with both Y&R and B&B rising in Total Viewers, while GH and DAYS shed about the same number of Total Viewers. Some good news for GH this week when it comes to male viewers, however, with them picking up 44,000 in the Male 18+ demo.

GH has a good week, adding 128,000 Total Viewers, pushing DAYS (which lost 112,000 Total Viewers) back down to the bottom of that pack. Y&R also had an off week, dropping 120,000 Total Viewers, while B&B picked up a tenth that many viewers over the week. Both DAYS and Y&R tied previous lows in Women 18-49 and Women 18-34 Rating demos.

I'm glad GH and Days gained. They have gotten better lately. I'm not saying they're great, but not horrible either.

I wonder if they count all the people that watch on their iPods, iPhones, iPads, laptops, etc. When I travel I watch on my iPod and I see a lot of other people watching content, tv, movies etc. that way as well. I've never actually seen anyone watching Y&R but I can't be the only one. I just wonder if the ratings people count everybody not just people that watch same day or tivo. If they did they might not be so quick to cancel soaps and put on some untested talk or cooking show.

Ratings for the week of August 13-17, 2012, courtesy of Soap Opera Network. DAYS returns from their Olympics hiatus with a big jump of 218,000 in Total Viewers. GH also has an up week, adding 187,000 to their Total Viewers. The seemingly endless lather/rinse/repeat nature of the Hope/Liam/Steffy triangle may be affecting B&B, as they lose 97,000 in Total Viewers.

Ratings for the week of October 15-19, 2012, courtesy of Soap Opera Network. It was a great week for GH, gaining 110,000 Total Viewiers from the previous week, and a whopping 464,000 viewers from a year ago. It's a new high for GH since Valentini and Carvalati took over, putting GH in second place with Women 18-49, and in first place with Women 18-34. DAYS also had a similar bump in Total Viewiers, adding 112,000 for the week, but remains in last place overall, even with drops in Total Viewers for both Y&R (down 147,000) and B&B (down 203,000).
