So, we've been wrong all along...it's not "Dianely" (as in Diane + ly). Why didn't the mother just spell the name "Dianelli". I never understand why these mothers saddle their children with strange names that are destined to be trouble all the kids' lives.

I did not find Haley to be a cute kid. Her mothers comment that she "doesn't want her daughter to be judged by her looks" rates as the all-time stupidest comment on the show.

Did anyone else think that little Lola looked like a young Eden?

Once again we get a glimpse of mama Wood in - wait for it - her pink jacket. We should take up a collection and send her a new one.

I confess I hadn't seen many episodes before tonight because when the show first aired, I found it paled in comparison to the HBO doc, LIVING DOLLS, but out of boredom I watched tonight and wow! Besides my usual reaction of "What the hell is wrong with these fathers that they allow their hard-earned money to be spent this way and their daughters to be sexualized this way?!" I think Dianely's mom definitely should be arrested and probably Lola's mom. To insist your daughter give-up athletics which are healthy and build self-esteem for pageants, which are about 2 steps removed frpm pornography, ie child abuse. And how much longer will Lola be competing if her mom keeps feeding her sugar cubes? Also funny line of the night: We couldn't get the tanning make-up off but then my mother-in-law used soap and water and it came off:

I wonder what her parents do to have a home that nice and with an indoor swimming pool.

I loved how they were both stay at home parents. I sensed living off family money.

So Lola downed at least 5-7 sugar cubes the day of the pageant and a few pieces of "dance candy?" That child is going to have diabetes before age 5.

Dianely was sweet and her mother was so hateful. I hated that she was commenting on how she didn't want her daughter to have muscles from gymnastics. She was just cruel to her child. I can't believe she'd mock her child's favorite color. She was teetering towards emotional abuse.

Scarlett is clearly the more favored twin judging by her solo appearance this episode.

Of course, these mothers probably spent over $2,000 for the pageant, so they would've only come home with $8,000 really. That HUGE RV probably took $300 of gas alone.

Of course an 18 year old is going to win the money. She had to actually pose and have poise, not toddle out with a handler and throw her hands in the air and "blow kisses." That's going to make your kid the next Miss America, people. What's sad is these girls value money, crowns, and attention and then you look at people who are actually in the Miss America pageant and they have degrees and want to become scientists, doctors, etc. But I get this overwhelming sense of "marry rich" from all these parents.

A pageant princess who wants to be a mortician? Awesome.

Next week looks like a train wreck complete with a sheet banner with stick-on letters and booty shakin!

My god, how many rocket scientists does it take to figure out how to wash off a swimsuit with water and soap?

Well it was obvious that Lola's parents had far more experience with horses rather than children. Giving a 3 year old sugar cubes is really something special.

Lola's older sister was pretty big for a young girl; I sense that Lola will not be far behind if she does not let up on the sugar cubes. I thought they were marshmallows when I first saw them, and even that, I thought, was bad.

I feel for poor Dianely. First that name that no one will ever pronounce correctly, then she had to be saddled with that mother of hers. Let the kid do gymnastics. She loves it, she seemed good at it from what I could see, stop putting her into these goddamned pageants that she so clearly hates!

Whatever Lola wants, Lola gets! Sugar cubes? she'll have no teeth soon enough. I think it was kinda sad that she only goes to the aunt. It's kinda fucked up.

I liked how everyone commented on that grown-assed woman winning the 10k. You could see the set-up a mile away. You should compete in your own age division! The 18+ were just performing stripper routines without the poles. They shouldn't compete with girls who are still waiting for their cleavage to come in.

I was wondering how they can both be stay-at-home parents. I was thinking either family money, or perhaps their land was discovered to have Oil bubbling beneath and was paid $$$$ in exchange for drilling, or perhaps they had an inheritance. It was odd to hear the dad say that if they win the $10k, he could but something (a lift?) on his truck.

Dianely's mom was just awful.

And how old was Hailey's mom - she had a daughter that looked just as old as she is? Five kids and two grandchildren - it looks like both Hailey and her oldest daughter started really young.

Oh, my, and what about the male judge talking about the "stiff" competition of the older contestants? Ick!!!

LOL @ "whatever Lola wants, Lola gets". It's a line from the musical "Da-n Yankees".

Aw, so now I can't use Dianley's name as an adjective (or an adverb) because I know how it is supposed to be said and she was so sweet with such an ogre of a mother. That mother was cruel and delusional. Let's do some math: it costs about 2,000 bucks to enter the national right? Plus you have to use all the correct vendors to assure a good placement which adds some incidental costs. How many years can you enter before that 10,000 CASH (MONEY) prize isn't worth a plug nickle? Answer: 1 year ya moronic mothers! Your kid ain't never gonna win because it is fixed. But the mother seemed to be on the Mickie Wood Crack which makes her think that by pushing and shoving, she can force her child to make her some money.

I thought it was hilarious that the 20+ year old who won kept having to adjust her boobs. On camera. Keep it classy there, Universal Royalty. I'm sure Princess Catherine is always pushing the girls around with cameras rolling. Such a shocker that the winner of this pageant can't hack the big time ones.

For those looking for more Juana and Mak, msnbc has an article on them. Juana keeps improving in intelligence, IMO. Her first appearance on the show was a bit of a disaster, but since them, she has shown that she knows it is silly but that she does have her daughter's best interests at heart. That said, get Mak into a swimming class/team because something like that has more ofa future than beauty pageants.

Just disgusted by tonight's episode. Thoughts below:

-I just can't stand Annette Hill. She is extremely irritating and I can't imagine having to listen to her through an entire pageant. If I drank, I could have been stinking drunk by playing a drinking game for every time she said $10,000.

-Great job editing there TLC. In the previews they made it look like that male judge was raising his eyebrows in reaction to one of the adult women stripping to her bathing suit. Not so though. That reaction came at the beginning of the show with one of the younger girls doing something.

-Though tonight there wasn't the loading kids up with red bull and mountain dew, as a substitute, momma and auntie just fed a two year old sugar cubes galore.

-Dianely's mom is a complete nut. Her daughter wants to be a gymnist in the olympics and is actually not bad for her age. But hey, why do something productive with longer term benefits. Instead, she put the girl in pageants that she clearly doesn't want to do because she said she doesn't want to do them. Of course then mom brags about her kid being able to do gymnastics as her talent. Apparently she wants her kid to know just enough gymnastics for her talent but not enough that it might give her muscles and be an actual career. Then mom complains about how bad she did on her routine, overooking her own part in the whole affair since she took Dianely out of gymnastics.

-Of lesser annoyance was how to Dianely's mom it is tacky to say you like all the colors of the rainbow. Apparently Dianely's mom has to control every thought, word and deed of this child because she's nitpicking over whether you are only allowed to like one color or whether you can like all colors.

-And then, there was Dianely's mom saying that if they won the $10K it would just go back into pageants. Clearly a college fund is of no importance.

-One of the girls' mom sort of summed up what I'm seeing from alot of these pageant moms. It's "the kid runs our house" attitude. The "we give them whatever they want" attitude. Is it any wonder that kids are growing up with an overwhelming sense of entitlement regardless of whether they actually deserve something or not. I'm all for confidence but these people are raising a bunch of arrogant little snot rags - - "I'm so pretty and everyone is jealous of me." "everyone is a hater" "I'm a celebrity and everyone knows me." It's really disgusting.

-I'm not saying the pageant couldn't have been fixed, maybe it was, but for Hailey's mom to say it must have been fixed because her kid didn't win is just delusional. How about the fact that her kid exhibited no real talent in the talent portion and her hair and makeup were jacked up in beauty. Is it just possible that those are the reasons her kid didn't win? Because as Hailey was performing, I found myself thinking, "what kind of crack was Hailey's family on that they thought that hair and talent were anything close to good." The beauty hair was just blah. And her talent, was basically jumping around. If that is all that is required, I can jump around and wave my arms too.

-What the heck with all these women hiding from their husbands how much they spend on pageants. If you can't be honest about what you're up to, it is probably something you shouldn't be involved in.

-I felt sorry for Lola's mom though I think she kind of sets herself up for Lola's attitude by letting her treat her the way she did.

-I don't always write in full sentences when posting online, mainly because I'm just in a hurry to get all my thoughts out. I do know proper grammar and sentence structure though. These women on this show though seem to have real issues with basic english and grammar.

-Whoever it was that said Hannah should use the $10,000 for cellulite treatment wasn't really in any position to make a statement like that as she sucked on her lollipop and was stuffed into her clothes.

-Hailey whining and Dianely's mom whining about an older girl winning was just pathetic. Surely they knew when they signed up for the competition what the age range was. If you don't want your kid competing against an older girl then don't put her in that particular pageant. Hailey saying it wasn't fair that she had to compete against bigger girls was a bit stupid anyway given that babies were competing against her and that wasn't exactly fair either then if we're going on that standard. That said though, is it common to have older girls competing against younger ones for the same title? It does seem weird.

After tonight's show, I'd sort of rather go back to the trainwreck of an Eden pageant. At least those are mockable whereas this one was just pitiful.

- On the positive, I liked Dianely's attitude. She thought she did her best and was happy with what she did.

Yesterday I was actually thinking that our midwestern state does not have a pageant. I was even thinking of where it could be held, room arrangements etc. Thank God I saw this week's show and realized that holding a pageant like this is going along with the mistreatment of children for their parent's gain.

Boy these parents are mean t0 their children. I guess I can see these pageant moms and dads living a lonely lold age in nursing homes without any visitors. Serves them right!

Okay, tonight's episode was just beyond...

-Danielys mother was horrid. Way to emotionally abuse your child.

-Lola's mom - grow a backbone. Tell your sister to quit living vicariously through YOUR child, tell your child to stop speaking to you in such a way and learn to say "NO" to your child.

-Where the heck do Lola's parents get their money???? They are both "stay at home" parents???? HUH?????

-We got a new jacked up flat screen HD TV and I noticed in previous episodes that some of the kids, Alaska for sure and at least a couple of others, have a bunch of silver caps on their teeth. All those pixie sticks and red bull I guess. Now we can add Lola to the list with her constant ingestion of sugar cubes. Plus, I hate to be mean, but did you see her sister? I'm guessing she's also headed down that path.

-Speaking of money, Haillee's (or however you spell it) family was driving an Escalade, but she doesn't tell her husband how much she spends on pageants???? I wonder if she hides the overdue notices from him too????

T & T is getting as bad as Hoarder's - it's like a trainwreck you just can't stop watching!

Just to add - I just found this. Here's how much they are paying, just to enter the pageant.

Why oh why is all the craziness here in Texas!?! Yikes and away..what an episode.

Thanks to the person, upthread, who posted that Hailey's family was on Supernanny! I knew I had seen that family before and had to keep checking the info on my dvr about the date the episode aired.

The girls were all cute but moms were delusional. Dianely (yeah, who figured it was pronounced the way it was?!) is a smart little girl. Hopefully she will keep her smarts to get away from the heifer of a mother. Good grief. Yes, Fransely (whatever), you *can* like all the colors of the rainbow. It's not a stupid answer. ::sigh::

Poor Lynn...been replaced by your sister. There was something wrong there. I just can't put my finger on it but Malee is not right. I figured cattle and oil for the family's money. The sugar cubes take the cake! Really? dance candy? That's just not right. Pity poor kindergarten teacher! Hopefully the child will be homeschooled so no torture will be inflicted on underpaid and underappreciated teachers.

And let's hide all our spending from our husband. Like that makes a marriage stronger.

Annette Hill..I was surprised to see her again on this show because, IIRC, she bailed out on a pageant a couple of years ago. She was just plain annoying. Let's mispronounce simple words, add that 'lilt' to her narrative and just come across so insincere.

I am glad somebody caught Scarlett there. I just have watched this show way toooooo many times. Somebody save these children from their parents. Seriously.

I swear I'm going to watch when this train-wreck rolls into town and take my pixie stix, red bull, mountain dew and sugar cube dance candy concession on the road!

Wow...glad to see I am not the only person that wondered about the STAY AT HOME parents. That really needed to be the show 'cuz I was VERY VERY interested in what they had to say. Horses AND a indoor pool...whew!

Also glad to see I wasn't the only one facepalming while Lola the Terror sucked down those sugar cubes. I felt sorry for the older (chunky) sister. Did anyone notice her pageant-like dress? Somehow I have a feeling the behind the scenes convo with her parents about pageants were not pleasant at all. I don't understand how these parents tolerate such horrible behavior (with a kinda hopeless smile) when Lola the Terror was raising her fists to hit and just say no.....to adults. SMH

Dianely (wish I could get a nickle for every time she is called Diane-ly so I could retire SOON) was a lovely child with a miserable mother. Poor kid.

Thanks to mariacallous for posting that price list. Suffice it to say, my hard earned pennies won't be spent on that ridiculous list of fees. Its pretty mind boggling the amount of money spent on these things...regardless of the kids age.

Yeah, the one male judge seemed a little TOO excited about the older (18+) contestants. Way to let your slip (perv) show!

Dianely's Mom is an abusive bitch. Did we see her Dad or did I miss it, because someone needs to get that poor little girl out of there fast. Mom, stop trying to make up for being fat and miserable by abusing your kid, who has a chance to do something real with her life. Her answer about favorite colors was more than legit and it's very telling your favorite is black, just like your heart. When Dianely said "I wish there somebody I could talk to" during the eyebrow waxing it broke my heart.

Poor "Malee" the day she stops pandering to Lola she'll be kicked to curb like Mom. I have a feeling that her sister's weight issue is partially due to emotional eating as a result of being treated so poorly by her family, who clearly doesn't care if the newer, "cuter," younger sibling hits her since she's no longer the youngest.

I'm very disappointed to hear that Hailey is back in pageants. Sister Sam needs to get a life of her own and stop meddling with the younger ones. A show about their family would be like watching a Twilight Zone version of the Duggars.

Annette - Las Vegas is Nevada, not Newvada.

This show makes my soul hurt, I really should stop watching, but it's an armchair psychiatrist's dream and worst nightmare in one!

ETA - Perv judge was very creepy, I wouldn't let my kid near a pageant with him there.

This episode really brought the craptastic.

Hailey - Her whine and baby talk got on my nerves. You're 7, stop the baby talk.
Lola - Holy terror, and the MaLee aunt and weak parents only reinforced her crappy behavior. She's not a horse, do not give the baby sugar cubes. She's a donut away from being as chubby as her sister, not a great way to spend her childhood.
Dianely - Change your name the day you turn 18, and move out of your mother's home. Her self esteem will be destroyed before 12. And the flipper she wore looked like Invisalign.
The older ladies - skeevy. And 18 my ass.

I think I lost an hour and brain cells I'll never get back. Why do I do this to myself?

Oh wow...I really need to read this thread further back. Can someone, anyone, tell me why Hannah (the 20-year old) won? Now it seems more scandalous than I initially thought after watching the episode. I know Hailey's mom tried to make it seem as if the 'same judges' meant that her daughter would never have a chance....and the show seemed to imply that they lost points due to being late - so was she unintentionally correct (just not for the reasons she thought)?

There is so much to hate about Dianely's mother and everything she said to belittle, to demean, to dismiss her daughter.

I get that not everyone is on the "I Heart Brock and his Mom Train". People like Dianely's mom is why I'm on the train. Maybe Brock's Mom doesn't actually sneeze rainbows, but she's a lot more loving and accepting than any of the moms tonight.

Did anyone catch what the grand prize was tonight? Was it some sort of bond?

Wow, that was one of the most sane and down to earth articles I've ever read from a Toddlers and Tiaras mother... Juana's intelligence does seem like it's developing well! And I still think it's wonderful that at the end of the day, you really can see that Juana definitely has Mak's best interests at heart (unlike a certain Mom parading her show pony around looking for a two million dollar contract deal).

Isn't Dia-nelly one of the kids on Eden's mall tour? Hopefully not, after seeing the episode. Dia-nelly's mother pulling her out of gymnastics so she wouldn't get muscles reminds me of a story that I wrote (but oh-so-sadly never finished) about a mother who gave her children small meals because she didn't want fat kids... I also finally watched Living Dolls yesterday (that link somebody posted finally led me to watch it and it was interesting, so thanks) and D's mother also came off like an exaggerated version of Swan's mom.

You'd think a competitive mom might like that her child wants to be an Olympic gymnast.. Gymnastics wasn't even mentioned in D's intersts, which very much sounded like they were thought up by her mother.

Lola... I hope her attachment to "MaLee" was some sort of editing is all I'm saying...Besides that I really, really hate when kids hit and scream. I know she's "only three," but still...

Haley's mom, show a little sportsmanship. Maybe the pageant is fixed, but that's something Haley doesn't need to hear.

OMG, this episode was such a spectacular trainwreck, I'm still giddy with glee!!! I called it from the first ten seconds that one of the older girls, who I'll dub Brandi Tudor Junior, would win.

In regards to Hailey's mom, I agree she had a point. It's been noted by pageant moms on this board that Universal Royalty is a joke of a system and the pageants are rigged from the get go. Annette has her "pets" and the same girls always win with the same judges. What I don't understand is why people continue to pay exorbitant entrance fees when their kids don't have a shot in hell.

I also agree it's absurd for 20 year olds to be competing against 7 year olds. If Brandi Jr. was so fabulous she wouldn't be afraid of hacking it in big girl pageants.

With Lola, I'm guessing there was family money because Dad didn't seem intelligent enough to have created a successful business on his own. I'm happy they're wealthy because Lola will be needing a full set of dentures before ten if she keeps eating those sugar cubes.

Lola's Aunt's name was noted as Lee at first, so when I saw Malee on screen I thought Lola was calling her Ma Lee; like a second mother. It was sad that she preferred her Ma Lee to her actual Mom.

Dianely's mom must have a special spot in hell reserved for her. I have not seen such a hateful woman, and I watch Hoarders (both shows), Intervention, Cheaters, Judge Judy, AND Nancy Grace!

Hailey's mom seemed very Real Housewives of whatever. Her older sister seemed overly mean, and almost seemed to take joy in inflicting pain. She didn't even say she was sorry for poking her in the eye. Maybe she's from mom's first husband who wasn't as wealthy as Hailey's dad, and she's envious of her little sister's life. [Pure egregious speculation.] I have a sister who is 22 years younger than me (an oops, we didn't know we could still do that-oh well we already have ready made babysitters so why not baby) and I would never treat her like that!

Dianely's mother was just a horror. And did you notice that, during her bio (or whatever you call it when the emcee is giving her interests and such) that there was something about how she was so grateful her mother made her dreams come true by entering her into this pageant? Yeah, that thought did not ever reside in Dianely's mind. It was all her ridiculous creepshow of a mother. (Because, clearly, a child who would be tacky enough to say she loves all the colors of the rainbow should never be allowed to answer any questions about her interests and goals.) I could probably go on all day about all the crap to hate about that woman. Her daughter loves gymnastics and wants to be an Olympic gymnast, and she takes her out of gymnastics because it was giving her muscle tone, and that doesn't look right in a dress? There is so much fucked up in that that I just can't deal with it. I actually kind of hope that Dianely intentionally "forgot" some of her routine, just as an FU to dear old mom.

I kind of wept when one of the girls listed her goal as becoming "either a doctor or America's Next Top Model."

Tonight, E! reran the Chelsea Lately episode where she talks about Braxton and Alaska's mother, and she doesn't rip on the kids at all, despite Lori, her husband, and her friends insisting that Lori needs to sue because the stuff about the kids was too far. Dumbass? The only one talking about your kids on CL was YOU in the segment from T&T they showed. Chelsea mocked Lori's ridiculousness and questionable parenting, which is a completely valid take on that clip (one of her talking about how beautiful Braxton is because he's biracial as opposed to "cookie cutter" Alaska and saying how the only way Braxton won't win is if he drops dead on the stage).

Ok, I just finished watching the extra special craptastic episode featuring Brock, a budding male pageant consultant in the making. He was FABBBBBBBB UUU LOUSSSSSSSSSSSSSS (in my best Oprah voice). Oh wow...I need to make a list of his quotables from that episode alone.

Yes I am glad that his parent(s) support his choice to be different. Its a hard road for a child to be identifiably and obviously different (I was too for other reasons), so I can identify with why it can be harder than others recognize. BUT....that still doesn't stop me from feeling some kinda way about his special precociousness. It was, in a way as if he was already baiting people with his quotes...his attitude and sayings were far beyond his chronological age.

Now I am off to watch Braxton and Alaska.

No kidding. I think he's the only natural successor to Michael Galanes over at Little Miss Perfect after he dies of some terrible chin implant complication. That's why I don't think Brock should be kept in pageants.
