I don't know what to write in a Mike Rosenthal thread other than, ya, he's hot and there aren't any ANTM photos on his website.

This thread should be in General Gabbery where Tyra's, Nigel's, Sutan's, etc... threads are.

With the exception of circus freaks, all of his shoots were actually much better than other shoots that cycle -- they were well photographed (see: Awards Show Gone Wrong) and well art directed (see: smoking and side effects).

I noticed that too. He does a lot of interesting work, I just don't understand why he'd want to associate himself with the show.

And I don't think it's actually him, but there's a MySpace for Mike Rosenthal, and according to that he's straight. But it very well could be a fan-created one since there aren't any behind the scenes pictures.

I'm watching cycle 11 at the moment (UK viewer), and have been reminded once again of just how hot Mike is. I think he's much sexier than Nigel (who I always find a little sleazy, in a way). He's got such a lovely smile, and a great-looking body. My gaydar's saying he's gay, but I could be wrong of course.

Mike next week, eh? Awesome. I hope his photos turn out better than the grainy pedophile, 80's glam bugzapper dildo shit we've been given so far. Then again, the horrid things they do to the photos in post-production... I don't think the photos have looked particularly good post-retouching since cycle 6 since they keep loading on the airbrushing and cheap photoshop effects until none of the girls look remotely human anymore. I forgot that he did Fuerzaburta... excellent concept, even though most of the girls tanked it except Anya and Fatima. Still, he usually turns up on some of the better photoshoots of the cycles, so...

Also, holy *#$@ he's sexy. I've always enjoyed seeing him on partly because of this. He's like Nigel's hot gay brother or something. Assuming he's gay. Please, god. Although that picture on his site with the cigarette lessens his hotness... is that a cigarette?

I would like to see Tracy What's Her Name do a shoot, she hasn't been on in a while. She did S4's Zodiac and S6's Falling Fairy Tales. She seems to be good at guiding the models.

I feel really bad that Mike will occasionally get an incredibly dumb concept, because he isa very talented photographer. As lame as some of the shoots have been, the quality of his photography has always been nice.

Still, any glimpse of his pretty, pretty face... shame they do all sorts of terrible shit to the photo quality in post-production, because I think he's a good photographer. I hope he comes back later this cycle.... does a shoot, guest judges, takes a break and eats a cookie, aswirls, films a sex tape with, I dunno, that sweater-wearing guy who led the "gladiator" challenge in cycle 10, whatever. I just need to see more.
