Thanks! I was on board this ship back in the S4 finale when Holly did the Yoda impression!

Thanks for starting this thread! I become more in love with the Michael/Holly 'ship with every episode. This past episode was so good. I did hate the stuff he said to her to throw off Jan from suspecting anything, but at least he told her he was going to do it before he did. But anyway, that hug was the sweetest thing ever, and now I'm crazy for this 'ship.
I went back and watched "Goodbye Toby" again last night, and I noticed how even at the beginning, Holly made Michael more... lovable. He's more self-aware and just a better version of Michael when he's around her..
My favorite moment of "Goodbye Toby" was when she touched his arm and they both got flustered but Michael didn't get all spastic about it until he was talking to the cameras. He suddenly had some self control which he never had with Jan or Carol.

I've been totally on board with this ever since "Let's Get Ethical."

Here is why I am in love with this couple: the writers found a way to make Michael date someone without

A) changing Michael
B) making the girl crazy

Carol dumped Michael as soon as she understood what dating Michael Scott was really about. Jan... well, we all know about Jan. But Holly legitimately likes Michael, and is still an intelligent, likable woman. I know she's not supposed to join the show as a regular, so I guess they'll have to break them up somehow, but I would be extremely sad to see them (and her) go. Holly's TH last night was adorable.

I hope Holly is an 'intelligent, likable woman' I really do, because their dorky love is so perfect right now I would hate for something to ruin it.

After last night's episode, it looks like David Wallace will be the one to break them up. His TH at the very end the show that he didn't know they were dating seemed awfully ominous for Michael/Holly. If Wallace does do something, that would really be a shame, because M/H are finally hitting their stride, so to break it up seems so cruel! They were adorable last night, and it's nice to see Michael genuienly happy with someone who's not ashamed of him, or afraid to be affectionate with him (although maybe Holly doesn't know him well enough yet...).

ETA: Just to be clear, I don't know what's going to happen, so my post is pure speculation based on Thursday's episode.

My guess is that David Wallace won't want Michael in another office relationship because of the Jan fiasco. I just hope they don't close the door on her altogether.

Holly is a nice dorky companion for Michael. It would be interesting to hear the character's backstory.

That was my first thought, too. The only issue I had was he technically wouldn't have the RIGHT to argue that. He wasn't in the company before their flirtation began (at least not very long before), and has no frame of reference to what exactly messed Jan up or if Michael really had any responsibility for it (I say he didn't).

And they're not in the same chain of command so I don't see why it would be against any big rules. The only thing I could see being a problem is if she didn't report it. But it's only been three dates. Should she report it as a relationship from the first "Want to go out?" If they find out she shirked other responsibilities because of her relationship with Michael, then it would make some sense. Not much but...

I'm hoping Holly only gets transferred to another branch because of this, so the door is left open for her to return at least once in a while, while her and Michael continue dating off-camera. It's not nearly as good as seeing them interact with each other all the time, but this relationship is way too good to be completely obliterated.

That's what I'm hoping too. Then they could work around Amy Ryan's movie career.

Sweet promo that NBC has been airing. No spoilers, just kind of a tribute to their relationship. And apparently, people are speculating that Steve and Amy sang parts of the song used (which I think is pretty cool if it's true).
