Rants, raves about the score go here. (And if anyone knows the song from the end credits of this first episode, I would appreciate it.)

I would love it if they used The Ubiquitous Mr. Lovegrove by Dead Can Dance. Not only is it PERFECT both musically and lyrically, but it's a Goth (aka Fangbanger) staple and just an all-around gorgeous song.]
Amen, Door! There are plenty of other Dead Can Dance songs that would also fit right in--"The Carnival is Over" would be awesome. I'd also love to hear "Blood Letting (The Vampire Song)" by Concrete Blonde as it fits right in with the sultry Louisiana setting. "Temple of Love" by The Sisters of Mercy would be a good tune for a Fangtasia scene. I wish I could just score an entire episode.

On another note, the score is very pretty. In episode two we get to hear a lot more of Bill and Sookie's theme and it's a wonderful piece of music.

Thus far, I love the music for this show. It's apt atmospherically, and there's also a wit and intelligence to it, to boot.
My favorite aspect of the score so far is the use of a solo cello for a lot of Sookie and Bill's scenes. It's also got a nice backwoods slide to it that is very apropos to the feel of the show. (Stylistically, it's very much like Yo Yo Ma's work on "Appalachian Journey" -- you don't hear much in the way of bluegrassy cello...)
I also loved that song "Bones" at the end of "Strange Love," the lyric about "what comes around" was spookily apt, and it's very evocative of that classic country-rock of the 70s to me.

Who By Fire, If It Be Your Will, and That Don't Make it Junk might do. Or Take This Longing. There are lots.

Am listening to some Leonard Cohen and I think there are several of his songs that would be interesting in this series somewhere. It would depend upon the context, and it isn't too literal. But I get sort of the same haunted feeling from some of his songs as from some things in this series.
Who By Fire, If It Be Your Will, and That Don't Make it Junk might do. Or Take This Longing. There are lots.
Echoing, especially "Who By Fire." Also: "The Stranger Song," "Master Song," "Avalanche," and "The Partisan."
Speaking of that last, Sixteen Horsepower/Woven Hand are MADE for a soundtrack for this show. So is Apocalyptica.

This one I thought at first could be for Jason (the first verse, hehe) but other parts reminded me of Bill or Sam (third stanza). I really hope they use something of his at some point. Some really good Cajun music would be nice too.

I'm glad they are listing the music there... The music director and the casting director for TB are some of my favorite people right now.

(you probably have all noticed this already but I just figured it out so it's a neat moment for me.)
Anyway I think any song from the album Impeccable Blahs by Say Hi To Your Mom would be great - the whole album is about vampires but its not trying to be overly depressing or frightening, which I find refreshing.

It definitely sounds like Isaak, although at the same time I wouldn't say it sounds like "Bad Things".I can't believe that's not Chris Isaak singing "Bad Things," by the way. It really sounds like him.
It's not Isaak, but its a good ringer.

He pretty much admits its a pastiche of Johnny Cash and Chris Isaak.
Also, here's a video where a creepy old guy teaches us how to line dance to the song.
