Heavy shit going on. Discuss. I'll post my thoughts soon as it's over.

(Mars, if you've got a thread lined up when it ends, just delete this.)

Nooooooo! Not the emo hair! That's right folks, John's through fucking around and he's got the haircut to prove it. So Shirley's a terminator. That's very Planet of the Apes.

I’m not too keen on Male Announcer Voice taking over Sarah’s duties in that department.

Now, I’m all for blood and gore in horror movies, and I have a strong stomach, but it was still kinda squicky when John’s ankle (?) cracked…

Cameron got blown up twice! That’s good times.

I loved the “Call to him” continuity of Judgment Day.

Am I the only one who was shocked that John didn’t check the sun visor of the truck for the keys? I thought of all people, he would have been the first to do that.

And, granted it was a trick to stay “alive”, but I thought Cameron’s “I love you” to John was COLD. I mean, not even Arnie’s terminator pulled that in the movies.

So, Shirley’s a T-1000. WORD.

Holy crap on a stick that episode was amazingly freaking awesome a thousand times over.

I was sitting forward the entire time. Commercials made me impatient.

Summer pinned between the two trucks -- amazing. It was all a trick and I felt so bad for her.

... at least, I think it was a trick.

Maybe...

And... Catherine is... omg.... I KNEW IT!

I called it!

"I piss you off?" *shplorkt* "The feeling's mutual."

No one will look at a urinal the same way again.

Damn good show! Glad it's back as it's been too long!

Loved the new opening. Loved seeing hottie Derek again. Loved the action and T2-esque chase feel to this episode. Loved that John has left the reservation. Loved the new redhead T-1000. Only 167 hours until the next episode. Anyone have a time machine that leap me forward one week?

That was worth the wait.

The Bad Guys Are Alive ending was good, but I thought that the extended all-musical opening sequence was fun too... nice bridge from the Johnny Cash Dead Pool.

My response to the ending:

The episode was pretty good. It really tried to be like one of the movies (and fell a little short because, well, it doesn't have a movie budget and time), but it made a great effort. And the end made it all worthwhile.

Ooh that was fun. I have to admit the I love you was so fucking cold. (though I think that was what finally put him over the edge.)

As for the new T-1000 Awe fucking some.

So we're all agreed that John killed the Russian and is flipping out about it just a bit?

Have to admit cutting off the emo hair was great, between him and peter Petrelli it's the start of a trend.

My new phrase is gonna fucking be this:

"HOLY SHIT CATHERINE WEAVER IS A T-1000!"

I'm serious, I've said it at least ten times now in some capacity or another. If you took that last minute and just made that the episode, I think I still would have loved it...

The rest of it was good. Nothing I didn't predict, though. I have mixed feelings on John taking a more proactive approach, simply because I don't think his character arch as a wuss was well-developed enough. But still, it's all good.

I didn't expect Cameron to use EVERY trick in the book to avoid getting her chip taken out. That was fucking cold. And as usual, there's a measure of truth in every word, isn't there? I liked that she bluntly admitted that she knew John sort of loved her as well.

All in all, it was a kickass start to the season. One question, though: Who actually killed Sarkissian? Either Sarah or John, either of them are fair game, I'm betting.

Eh. Two questions: Robert Patrick and Shirley Manson. Who'd win?

I kind of guessed she was a robot :) But I loooved the rest of it. Poor John wins the 'crappiest birthday ever' prize! Nice continuity with Cameron's 'looking for my family' line, isn't Sarah supposed to be pretending to be her mom in cover story land? And I love LOVE LOVE how Cameron has never succeeded in winning Sarah over. Sarah has not anthropomorphized her one bit. She's a killer robot, and that's that. Could be interesting. Just don't go down the road of turning her bad once per season just for ratings :) My favourite part was Jon on one side of the truck with Cameron and Sarah lined up on the other side with the others. Foreshadowing that maybe, in the Fight Between Good and Evil, they wind up not so much fighting side by side? Maybe leading two different revolutions?

This is totally me guessing here, but vocally it sounded similar to 'Bad Boyfriend,' so my guess is Shirley/Garbage. Which, you know, makes sense. You have someone whose primary career is singing as one of the cast, you get her to do some singing.

That was good!

I was scrachting my head the whole eppie to understand what was the deal with Shirley Manson's character. Didn't see that one coming.

John/Cameron: Whatever it is with these two, and mostly John, it's twisted.

This was a good episode. I laughed my ass off at the urinal's revenge. Of all things, why disguise your T-1000 self as a urinal? The man was standing there for a few seconds. Do you think he sealed his fate by actually peeing on Shirley?

Anyway, John seems to be acting a little nuts. It was beyond crazy to resurrect Cameron after she spent an entire day trying to kill him. And then he gave her the gun? I guess John must have killed that guy who was on top of his mom at the beginning. I appreciate that the show isn't just glossing over this kid having to kill someone for the first time. I hate it when shows do that.

I'm happy to see Derek back in the mix. The show became 75% better once BAG joined. I never thought I would say that.

Wow. In my family, I would have been grounded for weeks if I had pulled a gun on my mom at 16. In my household, you had to be 18 or 19 minimum before aiming firearms at relatives was considered ok. But, maybe that was just us.

I wasn't spoiled for this episode, so I didn't see the "Cameron Goes Bad" storyline coming. Still, it didn't hold much suspense because John's future self wouldn't have sent her back if he knew she was almost the agent of his death.

I forgot who said it in the previous thread, but I think the notion that the Terminator didn't kill Ellison because he was resigned and didn't put up a fight was correct.

In other news, I'm not liking the new voiceover on the intro narrative. I much preferred it when Sarah did it. What is the point of this random, male voice?

What I did enjoy was the male rivalry and the hostility coming from Reese and what's his name, the former fiance/EMS guy. I like it because it was pretty subtle, not over the top, Reese punches the guy in the nose macho.

The way I see it, John's reaction could have come both ways: Him killing Sarkissian, thus breaking his mantra of not killing anyone (established in T2,) or Sarah killing Sarkissian, also breaking the mantra. He could feel angry at her, I guess.

I dunno. I'm leaning towards John, but it's completely possible that Sarah offed Sark.

I HATE the new openning. Sarah's voice over was much better!

I also HATED that the used a song durring an action sequence two episodes in a row. I seriously hope that they don't do that again.

I knew Cameron was trying to trick John into letting her, but part of me thinks that good Cameron might have developed an attachment to John or had one with Future!John.

All it took to fix Cameron was to clean her chip? No way something like that would be that fucking simple.

And I totally saw the CEO being a terminator a mile away, but I was not expecting her to be a T-1000. I thought they were only using T-888s on the show. I guess they got a lorger effects budget.

I loved the call back to Terminator with Cameron fixing herself in the mirror.
