I just saw an episode of this tonight for the first time. Surprisingly enjoyed it a lot. I usually don't go for that type of cringe in embarrassment humor, and there were a few cringeworthy moments, but a lot of it was quite funny.

I believe the episode I saw was the second one which is "The Bird". I loved the man in the bird store! "I have a falcon", hee! There was also the line "I had a bird in my pocket, there was an erection misunderstanding, and then I punched it in the face to shut it up and killed it." or something like that. So terrible, but I was laughing anyway.

I really haven't heard anything about this show and only watched it because my mother had it on the tv. How has this show been doing, ratings wise? I saw that it has gotten some mixed reviews.

I am so glad to see this show come back!

Last night's The Article was one of the funniest things I've ever seen on tv.

I also thought last nights show was hilarious. I was watching the dvr replay after my dh went to bed and was laughing outloud trying not to wake him up. This is his favorite show. He will definitely have to watch this ep.

I think her parents are kind of warming up to him as shown at the very end when "Red" smiles. But they all know somethings going to happen at any moment. As evidenced by the dream, then reality.

I'm hoping they don't make his boss hit on him. For some reason I am getting that vibe, and I hope I'm wrong. She's a weirdy.

It seems like the chains of errors are getting less complicated. Sam even seemed to meta-comment on it when he described Dick's plan as too easy. The show seems to be devolving into more of a standard sitcom.

OK, so I am totally lost with this show. For several weeks, they were boyfriend/girlfriend/ going to her parents house to tell them that she was pregnant. Three weeks ago, he destroyed the father's truck and was invited into the family photo because he is "more than a boyfriend." THEN, last week, they were both wearing wedding rings and he had a local job and were staying at the parent's house because their ceiling caved in. Which is it? I hate shows that don't have any continuity, but I hate this show for many other reasons. Only reason I watch is because Mr. SanDiego finds it funny.

SanDiego There were a couple of reruns thrown in there a couple of weeks ago. It sounds like you watched them in between new episodes. I can see where that would be confusing.

Watching from the beginning, it started out as an engagement and they did show the wedding. The wedding was hysterical so if you can catch that episode, I would recommend it.

Repeats aside, I think there is still a continuity issue. IIRC the episode from 1/12, at the end, Dad had paid for a hotel to get them out of the house. Yet this week, they were all still there, leaving together for work.

I'm enjoying the show more as the season progresses... at the beginning, it was rather painful to watch as Sam made a fool of himself every 5 minutes. Now, it has evened out more. The characters are likeable, and the slapstick is executed well. I hope the show survives.

"I'll home school my kids before sending them here."
"Let's go find that curly-haired pornographer."
"He'll (James Earl Jones) do anything."

I love Mel. Watching her and Sam snark on that school in this most recent episode was hilarious. Angela's "dream" and her description of it was also great. "Seek your destiny." Ha!

And yes, I couldn't help but laugh at Chad getting hurt.

Overall, it was one of my favorite episodes.

The show continues to struggle holding onto the Two and a Half Men lead-in audience, but I really hope CBS keeps this around.

I was working and this show was on in the background. Maybe it's the type of show that needs your complete attention to enjoy because I found, from just listening and glancing up, this to be the single worst sitcom I have ever seen. It was painful.

I was strangely drawn to it too and was I looking forward to it initially especially since there's such a dearth of sit coms these days (not just good sit coms, but sit coms.. period.)

But it was sort of meh for me.

*sigh*
