Since it's being recapped I figured it deserved a thread, even though it's not technically a tv show. My apologies if there's already a thread somewhere. I couldn't find one, but I've never really come to terms with the mysterious workings of the TWOP search function.

I am loving this blog thing. It's hard to believe that it's a low budget, thrown together during the strike, production. The songs are great, especially the rockin' one at the end of Act 2. NPH has better pipes than I ever could have imagined and Felicia Day is as cute as a button. Was she the Potential with the silly hat?

Nathan Fillion is cracking me up, as usual. He was born to play a big dumb lug. Especially one who is creeped out by geese and loves flowing, lacy curtains. Bwah! I loved that he came back to point out that the Hammer was actually his penis. Way to rock the innuendo, you tool!

My favourtie part though, are the Whedon brothers in their cowboy hats and pornstaches. Brilliant!

ETA: Wow! That title didn't seem that long when I was typing it. Maybe a mod could shorten it to just be "The Pornstaches of Doom".

Totally loving this whole thing. NPH owns my soul. I've always loved his voice and I'm so glad that they're taking advantage of his rockin cords.

I'm glad this show has its own thread. Previously we were discussing it on the Firefly "Cast in Other Parts" thread.

Nathan does a marvelous job of lampooning his Big Damn Hero persona and who knew he was such a good singer?

Also loving the "Evil League of Evil" proving that redundancy is in fact....evil.

So far this is a very slyly subversive story as well as being extremely entertaining.

I know I shouldn't be amazed at how awesome this whole thing is, but I am absolutely in love with it. NPH is just brilliant as Dr. Horrible and I've been linking the vid to anyone I can find.

I've been looking forward to this for some time and I have not been disappointed. So far Acts I & II have been thoroughly enjoyable. I really like the little touches that make you want to watch each act several times so you don't miss anything. NPH is just so adorable and I didn't think I could like him in another role as much as I love him as Barney in HIMYM. I'm definitely going to buy the DVD to ensure that the folks behind this do indeed get paid. When will that be available?

I don't think there's a definitive word on when the DVD will be out. I haven't seen it yet. But they're trying to load it with extras, including a commentary track that's also sung!! And given the popularity of the songs, I'm thinking they'll be fast-tracking a soundtrack too. At least, I hope so. I was prepared to really like this; turns out I really, really love it beyond my wildest imaginings. Hurray team Whedon!

Oh good, I've been looking for a Doctor Horrible thread. I can't fathom the search function either, no matter what I put in it tells me I did something wrong.

Anyway, yay for this series. I haven't seen NPH since his Doogie days but because of this I decided to check out HIMYM and found its actually really funny. Love Aly Hannigan in it too. Anyway anyway...

Bad Horse is genius. Thoroughbred of sin. His communiques are my favourite bits. I love the music, I haven't been able to get the songs out of my head for two days and I'm not normally a fan of musicals. I didn't know NPH had a Broadway musical background, man can he sing. Nathan is pure comic love. I felt so bad for Billy in the laundromat essentially being bullied by the big alpha hero. I love the way Joss turns things around and in his verse the underdog always rules so its so fun to see the villain be sympathetic and someone you can identify with more than the self absorbed jerk of a hero.

Why am I not suprised that this is so brilliantly conceived and executed? I bought the iTunes season pass and will definitely get the DVD. Can't wait for the dramatic conclusion. What's interesting about it is that you know the villain can't succeed because he's still trying to do evil things but at the same time I want a happy ending for him. I can't guess how this is going to go.

I've watched it like 7 times now, mostly just for the "Laundry Day/Freeze Ray" song. You guys aren't the only ones still humming that one. I'm intrigued by what the DVD extras will be. Previously, I'd only heard that NPH had the voice; I'm glad to hear that the rumors were true--that dude has pipes. Can't wait for Act III.

So so so much love for this. I can't stand musicals but somehow Joss manages to produce another one that I want to watch over and over. NPH is made of excellence and I really can't wait to see how this ends.

I love "A Man's Gotta Do What A Man's Gotta Do", I can't get it out of my head.

This show succeeds on so many levels. There are lots of little things that you might miss at first, but then spring up at you when you don't expect it.

This amazing little show has catapulted me head over heels back in love with Neil Patrick Harris, ala my girlhood Doogie Howser crush. He is just so amazing and I thought the way he emoted his despair in the first song of Act 2 was simply fantastic. This has been great Whedon content to hold me over until Dollhouse comes out and I can't wait for the soundtrack either. And always, Whedon is my lord and master.

Oh, speaking of NPH emoting, how amazing was he in the last song at the very start of it. You can just see the crazy side sparking behind his eyes, SO good.

I'm a big fan of "A Man's Gotta Do What A Man's Gotta Do". So much so that when I sing Captain Hammer's part, I take a wide stance and toss my hair in the wind. I also like the NPH/FD duet at the beginning of Act II. I hope we get to see something of the Thoroughbred of Sin.

My one gripe- if it's a sing-along where are the words? And the bouncing ball? I want to play!

Yippee, a thread! I love this so much. NPH, NF, and JW all together and NPH with the pipes.. wow, so much to love. I love when Dr comes back from his freeze ray test and says that the cops and Captain Hammer watch the blog. Heee. Poor guy is just getting his ass handed to him. But NPH pulls off the emotions so well, your heart just opens to him. I loved him in the duet with Laundry Girl where they are on opposite sides of the wall.

Count me in as a Dr. Horrible lover. I am a fan of both musicals and NPH so I was anticipating this as soon as I heard about it. It really is awesome.

I knew I'd love NPH but I am surprised how much I'm enjoying Nathan Fillion. Well, I don't know if surprised is the right word. I've definitely enjoyed him in the past. I guess I'm more surprised with the show's take on the hero. He's such a tool and for some reason he reminds me of Gaston from Beauty and the Beast. I think it's the toolishness and bulging muscles.

The 2 part duet/harmony (I don't know music, so I don't know where it's called - where NPH and the girl were both singing and he was singing about his pain and her about her happiness) - just killed me. So utterly amazing.

On NPH emoting: I melted when Penny said "Everything happens" and he got this sad look and said "Not to me." I mean who hasn't felt that way? My heart exploded and he rocked the angst. It reminds me of Buffy in the way they can be so silly and comedic yet at the same time the characters are so human with realistic emotions. This is Joss at his best.

Uh, second time for me actually. He did put out my Xander's eye. Only as Mal did I not want him to die. :)

I actually reformatted my computer in order to watch this. (I recently somehow magically broke my computer, and then my other computer/laptop somehow magically stopped playing video properly).

I am so glad that I did.

I really want almost 12 year old son to see this immediately. Unfortunately he is with his father who doesn't know how to internet.

Really, all I needed was a good excuse to buy the DVD anyway.
