I saw this on the Chuck boards (yes it's not as serious a show as BSG, but after years of watching it and The Wire I need something a bit more whimsical. Plus Yvonne Strahovski is H-O-T HOT!). The premise is simple, someone makes a wish for what they'd like to see in the show, the next person says your wish is granted but... but tells them of the ways in which that wish had an unexpected twist. It could be comical or serious. For example before Revelations someone could have said I wish the RTFF would find earth. The next person might say granted, but when they get there, they see that earth has been turned into one giant strip mall where everyone shops at The Gap. Though happy at first to get new clothes, they soon start to tire of the threads that make them all look like the 8's and thus begins the great fashion civil war of 2354.

So without any further ado, here's the 1st wish. I wish they'd have Racetrack hook up with someone nice.

Racetrack finally hooks up with her ECO, Skulls, and he turns out to be the perfect gentleman and lover. But then Racetrack finds out she's the Final Cylon and her first directive upon activation is to kill Skulls and all other active pilots which causes her to airlock herself instead out of shock, anger and bitterness.

2nd wish: I wish that Tigh would get his missing eye back.

He does. It's pickled, and in a jar, so he can keep it as a mantle decoration. He has to dust the jar every so often.

I wish that Roslin's pretty, pretty hair will grow back.

The hair does indeed grow back. Problem is, it grows on the tops of her feet, not her head.

I wish the Opera House vision would be explained.

Granted. The problem is it means that they are all destined to form a opera/rock band.

I wish we would find out where Starbuck went.

Granted, but now that everyone can understand what he's saying, Leoben realizes that he and Kara never really shared a special destiny or connection...she was just the only one with hearing good enough to interpret his mumbling rambles before. Upon learning this, every Leoben's mind collapses in on itself until all 2's die. Kara looks down and shrugs saying, "Pity, I was starting to kinda like him."

I wish that BSG S4.5 gets nominated for and wins, the best drama Emmy next year. (This may be outside the scope of the game, but damn it, I don't care...as for this year...GO MARY GO!)

Granted. Trouble is, he's so troubled by those who he couldn't save that he goes all emo leading the quorum of 12 to give him the nickname Leemo.

I wish we knew what happened to the "sunshine boys" (the one's who were beating on Helo and the Chief in Resurrection Ship)?

They joined the New Caprica police and right when they were about to graduate, Duck blew them up.

I wish that we could find out what's up with Hera and her recent creepy ways.

Granted, she's teething and to dull the pain Athena's been slipping some of the Chief's brew into her baba...Hera is not creepy...she's drunk.

I wish that both Adama and Roslin die heroically at the end of S4 and after the funeral Lee and Kara sit in the Old Man's quarters and start to rebuild the model ship, which will be christened 'Rodama'.

Granted. They rebuild the ship but a week later it get's broken, again. This cause's Lee to have another round of the emo's.

I wish that someone would airlock Baltar.

Granted. But then his One True God cult decides to start rumors about his immaculate birth and possible return from the dead. This religion eventually becomes accepted by the entire Fleet.

I wish we could find out what exactly happened to Kara when she disappeared into the maelstrom.

Granted. She emerged into a parallel world where Earth wasn't destroyed and she was part machine. And she wasn't called Kara, but something that rhymes with it. I think her name was "Farrah Morbus."

I wish we could have Stephanie Chaves-Jacobsen on the show again, possibly via flashback. She's purty.

Granted, and yes she is purty. But the Adama's get so sick of her telling them "I told you so" in regards to Captain Thrace, that she gets reassigned to kitchen duty. Mixing the algae is much worse than peeling potatoes.

I wish that they would have to head back to Kobol.

Granted! They decide to head back to Kobol, but in the wake of his new found vocal talents, and in an effort to make more room for MP3 recordings of his new band on the ship's computers, Gaeta deletes the ship's navigation maps. As they are left with no route, they are forced to find yet another dying leader, and embark again on a four season long "Let's Find Kobol" arc. Somewhere in the galaxy, a hybrid is giggling as he repeats "All of this has happened before, and all of this will happen again."

I wish Baltar would awaken to the realization that he is bisexual, in an attempt to grow the size of his cult.

Granted, but the explicit Baltar/Tigh/Adama scene was probably something we could have done without. (Although I'll admit to liking the Baltar/Gaeta flashback.)

I wish that Zarek would blow something up, preferably with Lee in it.

Granted. Zarek does blow something up, Lee's popularity that is. Lee is elected president for life, and granted a long monologue at the beginning and end of each episode in the second half of season four. (I was tempted to decree that half of these monologues would exclusively be him pining over Starbuck, that that's a fate that's too horrible to even joke about).

I wish Doral would find this Cylon "plan" that everyone's been talking about, during spring cleaning aboard one of the baseships.

Granted. It turns out that the plan was a revival of the 70's era of Earth, complete with bell bottoms and rainbow-colored afro's. The name of this new planet? Pornstache: Bringing Sexy Back.

I wish that Bill and Laura would always be happy, even in death. (Aw, who has the heart to corrupt this?:P)

Granted! Bill and Laura wed and build a house together. Soon after, Leemo, Kara and Saul all move in with them for various and sundry reasons. For the rest of their lives all of their troubles become humorous and are resolved in half an hour. These problems include, but are not limited to: Those crazy Cylons who live next door, hijinks at the Church of Baltar bake sale, and Sauls attempts to be an absent father to his child with Caprica.

I wish we saw more of the Cylon fighter pilots, cause they were awesome.

Granted.
We see waaay to much of them- the costume department has budget cuts, so they all have to go nude. Turns out the Cylon pilots are actually all saggy and wrinkly and icky under their flight suits. This is inexplicably successful, and they get their own spin-off series:
The Saggy Wrinkly Cylon Pilots Half-Hour.

I wish that Starbuck and Number 6 have a rematch. Another epic fist-fight between them is way overdue.

However, it pretty much degenerates into a sucker-punching contest when Caprica Six keeps pulling out the "don't-hit-me-I'm-pregnant" card. Inexplicably, Kara falls for this.

I wish that this series doesn't go out on a depressing note. (But who am I kidding? BTW, not a spoiler, just idle - although completely justified - speculation.)

Granted! It instead ends on an infuriating note -- Adama suddenly wakes up in bed. He turns on the light, and the moustache is back. The camera pulls back to reveal there is someone lying next to him under the covers. Adama starts talking about his weird dream that involved robots, spaceships and someone named after a coffee shop. Finally the person next to him rolls over, and it's Phillip Michael Thomas. He says, "Go back to sleep, Lt. Castillo."

Fade to black.

I wish that someone other than Ellen Tigh were the 5th Cylon.

By the way, she resurrected before the Hub was blown. Now she's the one in command of "Cavil's" fleet, pursuing the RTFF. And she's pissed.

Hoshi runs around Galactica, eating all the men. Cannibalism proves to be unpopular, the show is cancelled 2 episodes from the finale and all copies of the unaired episodes are destroyed. The TWOP Battlestar board explodes in an outbreak of mass outrage. All go insane and shift their fandom to 7th Heaven.

I wish Roslin was my Mum.

Granted. But you will now be single for the rest of your life, since no woman can measure up to Mum and she would scare the shit out of any prospective fiance.

I wish someone would point out to the whiny Quorum and Zarek that Adama and Roslin actually did find earth, which was what they intended to do all along. No subterfuge here, guys.
