I'm really excited to see what she can do. I think that for the first time there are hip-hoppers who actually have a legitimate shot at winning this, and Comfort is one of them.

I hope her lack of air time doesn't doom her.

She was very sneakily featured though. She's in a ton of the Vegas footage, although her name wasn't known at first. Then once they featured her and Josh's ballroom dance, her name was mentioned a few time and more footage of her was shown. I think she's probably one of the most recognizable females at this point.

As I awoke this morning, Comfort was the ONLY Top 20 female I could remember. She'll do fine.

I was amazed by her versatility last night. She's the only one of the women I'm remotely invested in at this point.

Haylo, I think you are exactly correct. She was one of the only ones they tracked through almost all the phases.

It looks like she's lost the braces since Vegas. I can't wait to see who they partner her with.

I love this girl. I was upset that they did not show her austion when they labeled her the "best female hip hop dancer ever." She's a top contender for me.

Imagine if she was partnered with Joshua Allen(who is also so versatile.)

I liked her a lot and I am glad to hear that like Joshua, she has studio training in other styles. I can't wait to se her throw down and am really pleased to have her ( and a couple others) representing the non-pageant side of Texas!

I don't think she and Joshua will be paired together though. They are too familiar with each other and with the dearth of contemporary dancers, everyone who is non contemporary has to be paired with a contemporary to avoid a lot of contemp/contemp pairings. That's my thinking anyway.

Last night they referred to Joshua as her partner (or maybe she was his partner) so I think they won't pair them and will do what they can to avoid it.

Anyone found any vids of her anywhere?

I think she could possibly put the other girls (and maybe boys) to shame. I can't wait to see her more.

I am thrilled she's in the top 20. I've been searching for good female hip hop representation since season 2 because Lauren (bleh), Jessi (bleh-bleh) and Sara really did not hit the spot...at all.

She's one girl I'm really really looking forward to seeing dance other styles.

I love this girl and I agree with other people, she got shown and mentioned more times than the rest of the other girls in the top 20. From the looks of it, she seems to be the most interesting girl besides that other female dancer who's a teacher and barely ever has any clothes on half the time. There are so many contemporary dancers this year, it's actually hard trying to distinguish one from the other, I think this actually gives Comfort an advantage, I really hope she makes the top 10.

So her name is spelled Komfort? That's odd. I wonder why the show misspelled her name? That may explain why I haven't had much luck finding any videos of her dancing. The ones on her MySpace are a little shadowy to see very well. Guess we'll just have to wait until the show starts!

On the videos where it shows dancer name it's spelled Comfort. I think the changing of the C to a K is the cool kid factor. My nephew does it all the time. It's that entire myspace factor I guess.

Well, SYTYCD has been known to change the spellings of peoples names between the top 20 reveal and the first performance show, most notably among the various Ashley(ee)(è)s to be on the show. I seem to remember Jaymz having a much more run of the mill spelling until the first performance show. If the producers are going to play fast and loose with the names then what are you gonna do.

Oh Lord, I had forgotten how many ways that Jaymzzzz was spelled!

Please, don't let her be Komfort. I don't think my fuddy-duddy heart can take it.

And in the producers' defense (I can't believe I just typed that phrase), it'll be hard to figure out how to spell everyone's names this year.

I just can't see her Nigerian parents naming her Komfort, but who knows, anything is possible. In her older videos her name appears as Comfort, and she has some banners made saying "C. Style, Team Comfort". Then the later stuff is Komfort. I really do think it's just the cool kidz spelling coming into effect. If it is Komfort with a K, that will be pretty funny. Then we'll have a Komfort, Kourtni, Kherington and Chelsie for creative spellings.

When searching Myspace for her full name with a C, it comes up with two profiles. One that appears to be her normal one, and one that seems to be her music one. The latter has the K. But since the real-name search finds these with the C I would wager the C is the real spelling.

Who do you think would be Comfort's perfect partner? Alot of people have been saying Jaime, which I could see.

The only person i'm considering for her is Jamie honestly. I'm just so stuck on that pairing. I'm guessing it's safe to say she will not get Twitch, Joshua or Gev based on the fact that they would never pair the only hip-hop girl with a hip-hop guy.

Here is what one poster had to say about Comfort at Monday's taping:

seeeeeeeeeriously. i thought comfort was gonna be like one dimensional - just hip hop but WOW this performance changed my mind. the technique wasnt all there, but it proves its not ALL ABOUT technique, its also about personality, showmanship, and execution. you just watch and wait made me FALLL IN LOVEEEE WITH HER.

Here is a hot ass demo of Comfort:

If she doesn't want to be seen as sexual, then why did she want to be on the show?

I thought everything about her, from the rehearsal footage (believe it or not, Comfort, people have seen a contemporary and hip hop dancer together before) to the performance to after the performance, was nothing but one long caricature. I wasn't surprised Dan thought there was no partner work. I think the only thing she could be a good partner with is a mirror.

I felt that she was very stiff ,particularly in her upper body and did not flow at all well.

Then they talked about her dislocated shoulder, and I was surprised that a doctor allowed her to repeat the backwalkover move.
If her shoulder dislocated on a hyperextending move where she was bending her back and pushing her shoulders out of alignment, it could dislocate very easily again as the ligament is now stretched.

That seemed weird to me - my friend had to have her arm in sling for a couple of weeks.

Hoever, it could explain the stiffness in her shoulders while dancing.

They popped back in, does not seem to be an issue. What she lacked in technique, she made up in performance(imo...)

She'll probably get Jazz/Contemporary/Hip hop next week.

Oh goodness, she killed it in that video!

I like Comfort alot. She and Susie are the only females on my train. (Oh, and Chelsea Traille). Comfort just has that genuine, *urban-but not hood*, and not overly polished persona/demeanor that I love. She's just real, and she doesnt seem to have that "I've thought about what I'm going to say" vibe that alot of reality TV contestants have.
She wasnt great in the jive, but thats to be expected. Jive techinque is hard to master in one week...or so all the dance shows keep telling me. She needed to sell in in performance, and she did.

Plus, she had me at "Im out here in bra and panties and beads!" Just a genuine, uncalculated comment. There are 3 people that I feel are GENUINELY happy to be there, and feel blessed that they were able to be. (Unlike some who I feel think they are "entitled" to be there). Comfort seems to be counting her lucky stars that they picked her for the show, and just wants to enjoy every minute.

*I also liked her threatening the voters with "You BETTA vote for me" than simply mugging.*
