Stephanie was named one of the "Best New Chefs" by Food & Wine:

Good for her! So far, she and Harold seem to be the most successful of all the TC winners, which is great because they're my favorites.

Stephanie is this week's "A Day In The Life" episode. Apparently it's some Hulu exclusive show. I just caught it randomly. http://www.hulu.com/...stephanie-izard

Cool episode. Has her second restaurant, purportedly a diner, opened yet?

Stephanie was on this weeks new episode of Anthony Bourdain's "Layover," a show whose premise is, if you are somewhere for a short period of time what to do, and where to eat. One place he mentions is the "Girl and the Goat," where we see him sitting and eating, and talking to Stephanie. The place was rocking, and her food great. One thing Bourdain was extremely happy with was the Pig Face dish which she also mentioned in the " A Day In the Life of" episode.

I always enjoy hearing about Stephanie's successes. She is my all-time favorite reality show contestant, and it bothers the hell out of me when Blais whines about how he choked in the finale. I hate when he tries to diminish her victory, and all her success just validates her win as far as I'm concerned.

She was awesome in the Season 10 Finale, and as always, handled herself with class and came off so well. Plus, her tweets help her come off as a really nice person. And the fact that her restaurants are rocking is testimony to her skill. There was an hour wait at the Little Goat the other day at 12:30.

I'm from Australia and made a point to stop into the diner version of G&tG (Little Goat) for breakfast when I was in Chicago in August.  Stephanie was nice enough to come out and chat to me and let me have a photo with her (after I gushed to my server about how much I loved her on TC) and she was just delightful.  We had a lovely chat about coffee - the coffee we had that morning was easily the best we'd had in almost three weeks of travelling in the US (and we talked about how miserably Starbucks has failed in Australia).  The food was great and it was just an amazing experience - I was super chuffed that someone I admired on a reality tv show, turned out to be just as nice and apparently easy going as she was on the show.

(We also ate at both of Spike's places in Washington but he wasn't there . . . but the food was top notch at both of those as well)
