I've been seeing ads for this show running on USA, but they don't give a premier date. There are entries on TV.Com and IMDB that claim a 2-hour pilot, "Mary Sunshine", was run in November '07, but I never caught wind of it.

Anyway, the show looks interesting, at least if the two leads can keep up the chemistry they have in the commercials. But does anyone have any clue when it will actually appear? Or any other information?

I wondered when it was going to premier myself. It looks pretty decent--not as great as Burn Notice, but I'm just going by the previews. Is it wrong that I already think I like Marshall Marshall better than Mary?

I watch all the USA original series, so if they aired the pilot in November they did it pretty covertly. I don't think it has run yet.

According to The Futon Critic this show finally has a premiere date of April 24. I see commercials for it every Friday during Psych and it seems interesting enough to give it a try.

The promo monkeys for this show are doing it justice. It's the type of show I'd never be interested in but they're playing it like a USA quirky version of The Closer.

I agree about the great chemistry between Mary and Marshal Marshall. And aren't they pulling the USA original series stunt casting of using an 80s star as the wisecracking parent, like with Sharon Gless on Burn Notice and Corbin Bernson on Psych?

Yeah I've been seeing these promos too and i think it looks like its got the potential to be the next Psych or Burn Notice... The cast looks great, loved Mary McCormack in the West Wing and agreed that it looks like she and her partner have great chemistry.. I'm also obssessed with her love interest, Cristian de la Fuente from watching this seasons Dancing With The Stars...so hot.

BTW, the premier date is actually June 1st, it was moved up a week

I saw a promo for this show - it looked interesting, so I checked out USA.com - they've got character bios up now.

I think I'm most excited to see Lesley Ann Warren play the boozy floozy mom.

I'll probably give this show a few viewings to see how it plays. Being a fan of The Wire, it's always nice to see Paul-Ben Victor getting work.

Yeah I was immediately drawn to the show because of Mary McCormack but the rest of the cast looks pretty great too.. Agreed about Leslie Ann Warren, does anyone else remember her from Will and Grace? She played Will's dad's mistress and she was kinda similar i feel like to this character, kinda a floozy and really ditsy/out of it.. She played it really well then and i expect that she'll do the same on In Plain Sight...

I saw a promo recently that seems to be a completely different premise from the "bring porno-falling in pool-moaning into the phone" quirky-law-inforcement promo they've been running for the last couple of months. The new promo is serious "witness protection--we relocate people by hiding them in plain sight". Is this just a method of trying to broaden the appeal, or have they decided to retool before the first episode is even aired?

acatmaylook, I think thats what they're going for: a blend of serious "witness protection" stuff and light, quirky character interactions.. I think it looks like it will honestly be really funny, she and her partner seem like they'll have great chemistry. I'm trying to think of a good comparison, maybe The Closer? Cause its still pretty serious but the female lead is really quirky..

Anyway, i think the premise is interesting and this show could be really great

Anyone happen to catch Mary McCormack on Conan on Monday? She seemed really low key and cool and she looked great.. She talked a little bit about In Plain Sight, and also about the play shes in called Boeing-Boeing which she is getting rav reviews for.. She definitely really impressed me, can't wait for this show to start...

I saw Mary McCormack in Boeing-Boeing on Broadway two weeks ago, I couldn't believe how wickedly funny she was. She may win the Tony for that role. I definitely never got a sense of her comedic talents from her character on The West Wing. I'm hoping she can show her comedic side, as well as her dramatic side, in this show.

Dreamseeker, I'm really jealous you saw Boeing-Boeing, I really want to see it. I found these exclusive clips on movie web, looks like McComack won't let you down in the comedy department. She and her partner are hilarious together, very dead pan but they both have great comedic timing.. Can't wait for this to start!

Yeah, the retooled commercials bothered me. It was thought they got scared she was "too tough" for a woman and decided to soften up her image. Has it ever occurred to them there's an audience for a no-apologies chick butt-kicker?

And am I the only one who felt a twinge of nostalgia for the late, great The Marshal with Jeff Fahey? That seemed to be in a similar smart and funny vein. I'll pick that up on DVD if they ever release it. I mean if Stingray has been released...
