Anyway, the show looks interesting, at least if the two leads can keep up the chemistry they have in the commercials. But does anyone have any clue when it will actually appear? Or any other information?

I watch all the USA original series, so if they aired the pilot in November they did it pretty covertly. I don't think it has run yet.

Guest stars this season include... Percy Daggs III ("Veronica Mars), who plays the victim of gang violence whose shooting lands his girlfriend and her family under WITSEC's care
Percy! This will be his first post-VM role if you don't count the Hot Pockets commercial.

I agree about the great chemistry between Mary and Marshal Marshall. And aren't they pulling the USA original series stunt casting of using an 80s star as the wisecracking parent, like with Sharon Gless on Burn Notice and Corbin Bernson on Psych?

NEW YORK February 29, 2008 USA Network, the #1 network in basic cable, announced today that it will reclaim Sunday nights in dramatic fashion this summer with back-to-back original series, featuring the veteran hit LAW & ORDER: CRIMINAL INTENT, continuing season seven on Sunday, June 8 at 9/8c, and the newest in USA's roster of bold originals, IN PLAIN SIGHT, premiering immediately following at 10/9c.

I think I'm most excited to see Lesley Ann Warren play the boozy floozy mom.

I don't know whether this will be its regular time slot, but it's slated to premiere Sunday, June 1, I believe at 10 PM EDT.
Thanks I'll be checking it out - actually I'll record and watch !

In Plain Sight is a worthy successor to last summer’s USA Network hit Burn Notice. Both are witty and suspenseful and benefit from vividly authentic locations—here, underused Albuquerque—acknowledging its natural beauty and its Native American and Latino populations
My excitement level just shot up quite a bit! I'm a huge fan of both Burn Notice and Psych, so I think this will fit in perfectly.

What's going on with this show? I saw a promo recently that seems to be a completely different premise from the "bring porno-falling in pool-moaning into the phone" quirky-law-inforcement promo they've been running for the last couple of months. The new promo is serious "witness protection--we relocate people by hiding them in plain sight". Is this just a method of trying to broaden the appeal, or have they decided to retool before the first episode is even aired?
Yeah, the retooled commercials bothered me. It was thought they got scared she was "too tough" for a woman and decided to soften up her image. Has it ever occurred to them there's an audience for a no-apologies chick butt-kicker?
And am I the only one who felt a twinge of nostalgia for the late, great The Marshal with Jeff Fahey? That seemed to be in a similar smart and funny vein. I'll pick that up on DVD if they ever release it. I mean if Stingray has been released...

Mary: Just so you know, I smacked an Indian in the Johnson with a bar of soap today.
Marshall: Haven't we done enough to those people?
Mary: I'm not proud of it.
Now if I can find a way to weave that one into conversation, my life will be full.

Very Quoteable, and lots of fun. Just what I need in the summer.
At first, I thought Mary really killed Kyle when she kicked the chair.
