Rules for a Super Hangman Game!

The rules are basically the same as the regular Hangman game, but with a few twists, namely... POINTS. This game will feature an ongoing score board, with people scoring points both for matching letters and guessing the puzzle. Basically, these rules make the game a lot more like "Wheel of Fortune."

LETTERS: Using "Scrabble Points", players will receive points each time a letter they guess appears in the puzzle. In other words, if you guess D (2 points), and there are 3 D's, you get 6 points. The regular vowel rule (no vowels until 5 consonants are guessed) will apply. Here are how the points go:

1: A, E, I, L, N, O, R, S, T, U
2: D, G
3: B, C, M, P
4: F, H, V, W, Y
5: K
8: J, X
10: Q, Z

To keep things interesting, and from us all just throwing Q's and Z's at the board, a WRONG guess will have a point value as well... Negative 5.

Question... can you only get UP to 25 points in a puzzle, or is it up to 25 points in ADDITION to whatever points you gain while guessing?

The points for solving the puzzle are separate from the points for guessing letters. If you score a lot of points from guessing letters, you could feasibly get a lot more than 25 points from a single puzzle. There is no limit to how many points you can get from guessing letters.

Woo-hoo! If only there was a way to incorporate a prize puzzle.

So how many rounds do we keep score for, because I can imagine it would be unfair to new people playing if us regulars have racked up a lot of points after a few puzzles.
